TOPIC: WHAT DETERMINATION DOES 4: It Distinguish You
MEMORY VERSE:
Gen. 11:6
“6 And the LORD said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.”
BIBLE READING:
Daniel 1:5,8.
“5 And the king appointed for them a daily provision of the king’s delicacies and of the wine which he drank, and three years of training for them, so that at the end of that time they might serve before the king.
8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
Determination singles you out, it differentiates you among your peers. When you dare to be different, not to flock with others, not being moved by things of life, wealth, food, clothing or beauty, then you are ready to be distinguished for God and your generation. Bribe and corruption working for others doesn’t mean you should partake in it, dare to be different and you will be at the top of the world.
Daniel saw free meal, free drinks, wealth and position but dared to separate ( avoid awuf in disguise) himself from it all. That it’s available doesn’t mean we must go for it. Not all that is available are opportunity from God. Be sensitive to recognize God’s open door for your life. The scripture said,
“20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.” Daniel 1:20.
Let the laws of the Lord guide you into what to do and determine to do it right not because others are doing it or because it’s available. Do things because God want it done and determine to do it right. To be distinguish, do everything Differently.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
