MEMORY VERSE:

BIBLE READING:
1 Sam. 17:22-23, 26-27.
“22 And David left his supplies in the hand of the supply keeper, ran to the army, and came and greeted his brothers.
23 Then as he talked with them, there was the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, coming up from the armies of the Philistines; and he spoke according to the same words. So David heard them.
26 Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”
27 And the people answered him in this manner, saying, “So shall it be done for the man who kills him.”
We are studying David’s Side attraction services. Yesterday, we saw how he was serving His father and keep developing himself. Today, we’ll be studying how he was on another mission, to take meal to his brothers at the battle front. The scripture said,
“22 And David left his supplies in the hand of the supply keeper, ran to the army, and came and greeted his brothers.”
He finished his errand, and went for the side attraction errand. In the battlefield was a man whom the king of Israel was not bold to confront or attack. All the soldiers became jittery of him, that none could face him because of just height. But David, a small boy on an errand, who lacks the qualities of a warrior showed interest to defend God by fighting the Goliath. He made enquiry about what the king will do to whoever defeats Goliath and defend God. He wasn’t carried away by the gift but the Glory belonging to God.
Many atimes we run from defending because we were not sent in that errand but the Spirit of God in us keeps propelling us to go on that errand, how often do we obey like David? yes, you were not sent on that errand, take the risk for God. You are not in that area for that assignment alone, God brought you there for other purposes, take the risk and stand for God in that office, ministry, position and marriage. This risk presented David the second time before the King, and He asked him this time around, “Who is your father? You need to defend God regardless of the errand you were sent, that may be your life time breakthrough. Don’t miss the opportunity, take the risk brethren.
God Bless you and Good Morning.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
