TOPIC: HOW DO YOU TREAT YOURSELF? 2: Celebrate Yourself
MEMORY VERSE:
Mark 12:31.
“31. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”
BIBLE READING:
Ecclesiastes 9:7.
“7. Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.”
Being the second day of our discussion on “How Do You Treat Yourself?”, you need to celebrate yourself, Yes, Celebrate your achievement and your accomplishments, don’t always be down when things go the other way, learn to celebrate yourself. Give yourself some break and make Merry. No matter how many times you’ve failed or fallen, find time and celebrate yourself because you are not a failure, you only discovered how things won’t work.
We all read about King Solomon of Israel, with all His discoveries, He said vanity upon vanity is vanity but that doesn’t stop you from giving your self a treat once in a while. You don’t need to be rich like Solomon before celebrating, you don’t need a thousands of million Naira, Dollar or pounds sterling before celebrating, all you need is to give yourself some break from all the struggles, find a place and relax all your muscles, veins, and body system, get a lunch and a drink (Non alcoholic) to give yourself a treat. Rejoice as if nothing is troubling you, like a new baby who care not for how the next suckling will be provided. This will elongate your life the more and ease your body system. Stop the saying in Yoruba adage “Ojo ‘iku lojo isinmi” meaning “Until You’re Laid To Rest Till You get yourself a Rest” No, rest come when you decide to take it. Give yourself a break and celebrate yourself not until you achieved all you desires. Find time to celebrate yourself this season, you’ve been celebrating others; sending gifts and messages for their birthday and anniversary: no one will do it better for you except you do. Come on, let’s start celebrating ourselves in our little way.
Good Morning and God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
