TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Gen. 26:22
“22 And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name  Rehoboth, because he said, “For now the LORD  has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in  the land.”
GODLY INSTRUCTIONS GIVES YOU A HOME
Joshus 1:3, God said to Joshua,
“3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given  you, as I said to Moses.”
When you are under God’s instructions everywhere is for you. No place is called desert when God is the one leading you.
Gen. 13:14-17,
My”14 And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had  separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are —northward, southward, eastward, and westward; 15 for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. 16 And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. 17 Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”
Lot thought he cheated on Abraham not knowing Abraham is under God’s instruction, anywhere He goes, He is blessed.
Isaac was sent parking and move to the Valley of Gerar, still it became a blessing to Him to the extent of calling it “Rehoboth”. When God is your Instructor, anywhere you settle is your location.
Father, I don’t just need to go abroad, I just want to be under your instructions. I yield myself for the next instructions from you, give me the heart and courage to harkened to your directives always, so help me Oh Lord, Amen.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Gen. 26:16-21
“16 And Abimelech said to Isaac, “Go away from us, for you are much mightier than we.”  17 Then Isaac departed from there and pitched  his tent in the Valley of Gerar, and dwelt there. 18  And Isaac dug again the wells of water which  they had dug in the days of Abraham his father,  for the Philistines had stopped them up after the  death of Abraham. He called them by the names which his father had called them. 19 Also Isaac’s servants dug in the valley, and found a well of running water there. 20 But the  herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s  herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he  called the name of the well Esek, because they  quarreled with him. 21 Then they dug another  well, and they quarreled over that one also. So he called its name Sitnah.”
GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS ATTRACT STRIVE
For everyone that obey God and follow His instruction duely, you may have to experience strives everywhere you find yourself. God always make His favorites fearful to their enemies or counterpart. He instruct them to become great as long as they are ready to fully obey. Every great man in the Bible today that we read about are men who follow diligently God’s instruction and they all experience strive. Daniel experience strive from other governors during his time, Daniel 6. The Three Hebrews encountered strives with the King and men of Babylon, Daniel 3. When you are ready to fully obey God’s instructions, you are heading for strive.
The King couldn’t contain Isaac again. He called Isaac and told Him, you are too much for us, please give us some space, Gen. 26:17. The people of the land of Gerar stood against Isaac even when He went to the valley of Gerar. When you depend on God’s instructions you have agreed to enjoy strive. So, stop complaining because, you can’t be left alone but be rest assured that the Lord is with you even in all those strives you are faced with.
Father, uphold me in the midst of strives from all men. Make me victorious, come what may in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Gen. 26:13-14
“13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very  prosperous; 14 for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.”
GOD’S INSTRUCTION BRINGS ENVY
Envy is mostly seen as a bad attitude. It’s makes one feel insecure. Those who envy you see you as an enemy and try to do all they can, to inconvenience you. To me, to be envied is a sign of God’s goodness upon one’s life. It’s a sign you serve a God that answers your request. It’s a reward for doing God’s will day in day out. Everyone who Envies you is always lacking something you have in abundance. Envy is traceable to jealousy. Envy simply means, “you are better than me and am angry with you.” ” You have all am lacking and am not happy about.” That’s all.
Isaac was following God’s instructions regardless of the situations on ground. He sow in the land, meaning, he worked, invested his time into farming and God blessed him in hundred folds, then, envy began. He became the rich man in Gerar. He was so famous that they fought his herdsmen often. Envy was a sign that God was really working with him for he obeyed Him totally.
Are you being envied and you are fight back? You don’t need that, because you already ask for it. When you follow God’s instructions He will bless you, guide you and make you the talk of the city, then, envy follow.
Are you envying others because they are better than you? You are about to see their God fighting you. The Lord they obey and follow fully is the reason for their greatness.
Do you want to be envied? Follow the instructions of God and He will make you a product of envy. To be envy simply means, God has bless you.
Father, Help me follow your instructions as they come. I want to be envied by those who sees me as foolish for following you. Make me a sign of your blessings to others, in Jesus Precious Name I pray, Amen.

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Gen. 26:12-14
“12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in  the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. 13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very  prosperous; 14 for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.”
BLESSINGS IN GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS
When God’s instructions are dished out, they always look stupid and confusing. Stay in the land with famine, Gen. 26:2-3. Leave your father’s house and go to a land I will show you, Gen. 12:1-3. Fetch water in the jar and take the water to the master of the ceremony, John 2:7-8. His instructions always attract questioning. But in all His instruction, blessings are imbedded. Every instruction of God Carries weighty blessings.
Isaac’s obedience open his eyes to what others couldn’t see. Many left their farm land for greener pasture in Egypt. Farmers were reduced. Food product became very scarce. Then, Isaac thought of farming, he sow in the land of famine and reaped in Hundred folds the same year, your total obedience will yield the blessings of God in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Don’t be discourage in as much you are in the will of God, for as much as you follow His instructions in details, His blessings await you. We just need to open our eyes to all opportunities available to us, sensitivity in following God’s instruction is what leads to God’s blessing.
Lord Jesus, open my eyes to see the necessary steps I need to take even in following your instructions in Jesus Precious Name I pray, Amen.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Gen. 26:7-11.
7 And the men of the  place asked about his wife. And he said, “She is  my sister”; for he was afraid to say, “She is my  wife,” because he thought, “lest the men of the place kill me for Rebekah, because she is  beautiful to behold.” 8 Now it came to pass,  when he had been there a long time, that  Abimelech king of the Philistines looked through a window, and saw, and there was Isaac, showing endearment to Rebekah his wife. 9 Then Abimelech called Isaac and said, “Quite obviously she is your wife; so how could you  say, ‘She is my sister’?”  Isaac said to him, “Because I said, ‘Lest I die on account of her.’”  10 And Abimelech said, “What is this you have  done to us? One of the people might soon have  lain with your wife, and you would have brought  guilt on us.” 11 So Abimelech charged all his people, saying, “He who touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.”
PROTECTION IS GUARANTEE
When instructions are given by our instructor, and diligent obedience follows, we experience full coverage of the Almighty. When He leads and you follow Him, He watches over you constantly. He is the God that favour those who obey and abides with Him. Losses are not allowed when He is leading because He will guide you althrough.
Isaac, following the instructor’s instruction called his wife his sister, still, the protection of God saved his wife. The king made a decree, after knowing her as Isaac’s wife, that who soever touches Isaac and his family will be put to death, that is, God in action for those who follow his instructions.
When He led the israelite out of Egypt He protected them as long as they follow His instructions. When He is leading and you are following him diligently, you are under his protection. The small prophet deviated from God’s instructions and the coverage over him left, may we not depart from God’s protection in Jesus Mighty Name, amen. Stay within His instructions and you will be protected.
Father, help me abide under your instructions in order to benefit your protection fully in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Gen. 26:1-6
“1 There was a famine in the land, besides the first  famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. 2 Then the LORD appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. 3  Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. 4 And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; 5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.” 6 So Isaac dwelt in Gerar.”
HE WILL BE WITH YOU
For every success achieved in life, instructions are cogent. Nothing works without good instructions. What makes an Instruction good and work perfectly rest upon the credibility of the instructor. The instructor determine the assurance of the instruction. When your  instructor is reliable and you obey him, you are sure that He will always be with you all the way. Every path through his instruction, he will guide you. This is the privilege we have in our God, the greatest instructor. When He gives you an instruction and you follow through, He will always stand by you. When you refuse His instruction, He will stay afar watching you till you are done and return to Him.
This instructor, Our God, gave Isaac instruction not to leave for Egypt, but stay in the land where there was famine, (Gerar), because of God’s credibility with his father, Abraham, He harkened and stayed in the land. God told Him, in verses 3, “I will be with you and bless you”.
As long as you are obeying God’s instructions, He is with you always. He will never leave nor forsake you. It doesn’t matter the situation you found yourself after following His instructions, He is still with you. You might be asking God questions, “Didn’t you sent me here?” “Didn’t you lead me into this marriage?” “You told me to come into this city, why all this crisis?” His responses is still the same, keep following His instructions because He is there with you. Do not fret or quit. Don’t give in or change your mind, He said, I will be with you.
Mighty and Everlasting Father, I choose to believe you and that you’re  here with me regardless of all am going through this season which is according to your instructions to me. Oh Lord, lead me through and help me stand till your purpose will be fulfilled in my life. Thank You prayer answering God, in Jesus Mighty Name have I prayed, Amen.

TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,  prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: Acts 12:1-5
“1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched  out his hand to harass some from the church. 2  Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3 And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter  also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened  Bread. 4 So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered  him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him  before the people after Passover. 5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.”
INTERCEDE FOR THE CHALLENGED
The truth of the matter is, everyone has a challenge they are faced with presently. No one is without a need, but our needs are more weightier than others. Our challenges are in levels compare to someone else. Life itself is challenging, so, on a daily bases, we have some things to handle. Nevertheless, we can still intercede for others who are faced with more difficult challenges. We can stand in gap for those face with situation we ourselves can’t handle, and through our intercession their situation may receive the touch of God.
Apostle Peter, a servant of God, faced one of the biggest challenge in his ministry days. He was faced with death life and direct. A nights was separating him from death. At that point in time Apostle Peter couldn’t pray any longer, the scripture said, “He was sleeping” (vs 6). He has given up. But the church never gave up. The intercessors never gave up. They interceded on his behalf. They cried to God for his safety, and God send His angel to deliver him.
Prison was the challenge of Apostle Peter, that person’s challenge might be joblessness, childlessness, lack of a partner, sickness or disease. Some might be faced with helplessness, sleeplessness, poverty, and many other circumstances, don’t just look at them or mock them, intercede for them. Cry to God on their behalf. They don’t need to know you are interceding for them just do it wholeheartedly and secretly, when the result come you will be happier than they do.
Note this, the church had their individual challenges also but they understood how small their challenges were compare to that of Apostle Peter. Am not saying you don’t need someone to intercede for you but try and intercede for someone in need of it than you, and the Lord will raise others to intercede for you also.
Heavenly Father, we intercede on behalf of the waiting mothers, jobless, orphans, widows, fatherless and motherless, the needy and the poor, the sick, the less privileges, the outcast and the downcast, the debtors, the singles ready for marriage, the prisoners, we pray you visit them with their individual Miracles In Jesus Mighty Name, that you will turn their calamities around and make them smile again, you will prove to their enemies that you are God worthy to be served in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,  prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: 1 Tim. 2:1-2
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”
INTERCEDE FOR OUR LEADERS
Leadership is ordained by God. It’s a mantle of responsibility which can’t be achieved without the help of God. Leaders are meant to carryout the plan of God over their subjects. They have the authority to do whatever they desire at any point in time. Still, leaders are human. They have advisers who can miss lead or guide them aright. They all need our intercession daily.
Apostle Paul said, we need to intercede for them in order to live a peaceful live. King Solomon said,
“1 The king’s heart  is in the hand of the LORD,  Like the rivers of water;  He turns it wherever He wishes.” Prov.21:1
This can only happen through intercession. The Lord will not just turn the heart of leaders without intersession. We need to intercede for them to work in our favour, to carry out the plans of God and not of their own desire
Nigeria leaders needs intercession. We need to intercede in our individual homes and not lay curses on them. We need to hand them over to God to turn their heart the way He, God, wants.
Father, we handover our leaders to you. You know about their reigns. You knew how they become and what they are doing. We intercede for every leader in Nigeria, that you will touch their heart, turn their heart to you and change their desires to be in line with your own  desire, in Jesus Mighty Name we pray, Amen.

TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: Exo. 32:9-14
“9 And the LORD said to Moses, “I have  seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked  people! 10 Now therefore, let Me alone, that My  wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”  11 Then Moses pleaded with the LORD his God, and said: “LORD, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out  of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, ‘He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn  from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people. 13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’ ” 14 So the LORD relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people.”
INTERCEDE FOR YOUR FOLLOWERS
Many leaders this days hardly intercede for their followers. Most leaders only focuses on how their children will enjoy and continue with their successes. Leader of our days never desire their followers to take their place but to work for them and leave. When leaders intercede for their followers God is always happy to grant their request. Leaders with the heart of God seek for the progress of their followers.
Moses was given an open lifetime cheque to benefit all the promises of Israel, but as a leader, He turned it down and interceded for the children of Israel. He reminded God of all His miracle and protection towards the children of Israel. He reminded Him of His promises from ages past to the children of Israel until God harkened to His intercession. Moses would have thought of His children inheriting all the promises of Israel but He didn’t.
As a leader, do you intercede for the weaknesses of your followers or you laugh at them? Do you intercede on their behalf or find a replacement for them? How often do present their cases to God? When you prefer your children and relative to your followers you need to check on your leader role. Moses as a Great and Good leader, blesses the children of Israel when it was time for him to depart the world, Deut. 33:1-end. As a leader, intercede for those who God has assigned to be of help to your ministry, businesses and organisation. When you intercede for them that makes you a great leader in the making.
Lord, help me intercede for my workers as many as you’ve assigned to be of help to me in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,  prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: John 17:9-12
“9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but  for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.”
INTERCEDE FOR BELIEVERS
Intercession is all encompassing. Many believe in praying for their families alone but it’s beyond that. Worldwide, the faith is face with challenges here and there. Challenges from within and without. Many Christians family are going through hell which has gone a long way  affecting the Gospel. The Gospel needs intercession. We need to pray for believers at large.
Jesus Christ our Lord, when it was time for Him to leave the earth, He Interceded for believers including those who are yet to come to believe in Him (Jn. 17:20-21). He’s prayer was the reason why we are Christians today. He interceded on our behalf and we came to know about Him today.
Believers need to intercede for as many believers going through difficult times; those who are yet to accept Him as Lord and saviour, those who are been persecuted for their faith, and the prayer of faith will work wonders beyond our expectations.
Father, we intercede for believers across the world, those going through difficult times, those being persecuted for their faith in you, we pray for those you still want to bring into your fold, that you Lord, will uphold them all, you will renew our strength, you will stand for us in the face of persecution in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen
