TOPIC: SHOWING FORTH GOD’S PRAISE

Memory Verse: 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

Bible Reading: Ps. 118:17
“17 I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD.”
ALIVE FOR HIS PRAISE
I want to charge you today that, you being alive is to bring praises to God. The dead can’t show forth His praise only the living can do this. How has your life shown forth God’s Praise?
Gen 6:5-6, says,
“5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.”
Are you one of those whose heart is filled up with wickedness? Or your life style, has it been grieving the Lord? Has your talent become your instrument of exploit? As your body becomes the temple of the devil? And your wealth become tools to punish others, making God feel guilty for endowing you with such gifts?
We are God’s workmanship. We are to work towards the glorification of His name not the other way round. How many people has left the faith because of you and how many has come to believe in God through your way of life? In your marriage, is your spouse happy with your person? In your place of work, can your boss introduce you as a Christian? Among your peers, are they envying your life style? If your life is not glorifying God what are you living for?
Declare the praises of God through your works, your words and your life style since you are still alive. Let your life bring praises to God and not regret.
Father, i’m handing over myself to you Oh Lord, Make my life an attention of your Praise, let my day and night glorify you and win souls into your kingdom, in Jesus Mighty Name have In prayed, Amen.

Bible Reading: Daniel 3:16-18
“16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. 18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”
OUR WALK OF FAITH
Our faith in God is a vital way of showing the praise of God. Faith in the ability of God. Faith in what God can change. Faith in His words towards you. Faith that still speak even in midst of challenges and difficulties. Faith is the ability to believe in what God said about you even when all situations are against it. With complete faith in God praise belongs to God.
The three Hebrews walked in faith against the king and his image. They stood their ground even when the fiery furnace was to be increased again them. They were slaves in a foreign land but they held unto their faith and in the God they served. They told the king, our faith doesn’t permit us to bow to your golden image, it’s an abomination to our God to bow before any other god. At the end of it all, God was praised. The king saw the son of God in the fiery furnace and made a decree as follow,
“28 Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the  king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except  their own God! 29 Therefore I make a decree that  any people, nation, or language which speaks  anything amiss against the God of Shadrach,  Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this.”
Can your faith announce God to others? Can your faith bring God Praise? Your faith should be able to lift the down casted not to depress them the more. Others should notice your faith in God and follow suit.
Father in Heaven, help my faith grow in you in order to show forth your praise daily, so help me lord Jesus, Amen.

Memory Verse: 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

Bible Reading: Math. 5:43-48
“43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who  spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the  just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”
BY SHOWING LOVE
Love is one of the easiest word to pronounce but most difficult word to act on. Many profess to love their neighbour but still go ahead to repay them evil for evil, that’s not the love God is talking about. The scripture says,
“8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will  cover a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8.
Love overlook evil. It covers all sins and reward good for evil. Jesus said, when you show love to those who doesn’t deserve it you are a son of God, meaning, you are making God happy, showing forth His Praise. He will be proud of you. Not going for revenge against those who persecute you is showing forth the praise of God. Believing He will fight your battles on your behalf is showing forth the Praise of God.
Do you really show love to those who doesn’t deserve it or to those who will show you love In return? Are you selective in showing your love? Do you even love others the way you love yourself? Remember, ” … for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” To show love to everyone is showing forth the Praise of God.
Help me to show love to others irrespective of who they are in Jesus Precious Name, Amen.

Memory Verse: 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

Bible Reading: 1 Peter 2:13-17
“13 Therefore submit yourselves to every  ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to  the king as supreme, 14 or to governors, as to  those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do  good. 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing  good you may put to silence the ignorance of  foolish men— 16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. 17  Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear  God. Honor the king.”
THROUGH SUBMISSION TO AUTHORITY
No leader leads without the Lords consent. He made and ordained every ruler either by elect or selection. Whoever God didn’t ordained can never be a leader. Every authority is from God. Now, every authority has the permission to inflict judgement and to do justice over anybody, though, God will judge all the leaders according to their handling of power but He empowered leaders to rule over his/her subject.
With submission to our leaders, we can show forth the praise of God. We can make God known through our respect to leaders anywhere we find ourselves. Apostle Peter experience many confrontations with the leaders during His days but he is saying, we need to respect them regardless of their wickedness, notwithstanding, they can be corrected but still submission is our duty to them, with this, we are showing forth the Praise of God. God is interested in we honouring our leaders, because one day and somehow, He will lift us up also and that same submission will be accorded to us, so therefore, our submission is a way of bringing praises to our God.
Lord Jesus, give me the humility to show forth your praise through submission to the authorities you have placed over me, so help me Lord, Amen.

Bible Reading: 1 John 2:15-17
15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the  Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing  away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
FLEE THE STYLES OF THE WORLD
The word “World” has many definition in Christianity. The scripture says, For God so love the world, …. (John 3:16), meaning, For God so love mankind and not the entity called the world, the earth or the sphere, it’s the people of the world that God loved, not their wrong ways or their attitude but their person.
From our Bible reading today, 1 John 2:15, the “World” here means, the ways of sinners, their life style, the desire for evil things and action, this is what was referred to in thus context.
Now, this world is filled with lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life, (all these brings shame to our saviour who came to lay down His life for us). All these  doesn’t show forth the praise of our God. These attitude stains the praise of God and hinders the glorification of his name. When the devil tempted Jesus Christ, he tempted Him with the love of the flesh (food), pride of life (to jump down) and lust of the eyes (showing Him the kingdom of the world) but to the Glory of God, Jesus show forth the Praise of God.
To show forth God’s praise we have to be able to overcome these three temptation, in life, family and ministry. How intense is your love for money? How far can you go with sexual immorality? Is it pride, can you control yourself with it? To make God smile through your life style you have to be able to handle these area and do what pleases the Lord.
I need your help father to  overcoming these worldly ways and life styles in order to show forth your Praise. Help me daily to put my body under check, in Jesus Mighty Name I pray, Amen.
Happy New month to you all, may you show forth God’s praise in every area of your life in this month of June in Jesus Precious Name, Amen.

Memory Verse: 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

Bible Reading: Math. 5:16
“16 Let your light so  shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
THROUGH YOUR GOOD WORKS
Showing forth the praise of God is very paramount to God. We are created to bring Him praise, glory and for His pleasure. As Christians, we are to make our Lord and Saviour happy that we are created. We are to make known His praise through our good works to everyone around us. We’re created to be a blessing not a curse, to give life and not death, to be a helper and not a burden to others, we are created to do good works daily for God to be glorified.
Jesus speaking at a gathering, He said, you are the light of the word … Your good works should be seen and feel by all men. Being a light is simply to put smile on people’s face. Being their deliverer from every shackles holding them down, with our good works not in mockery, reproach and insult. When you make others happy, putting smile on their faces and lifting their burdens, you are showing forth the praise of God and God will be glorify.
Is.1:17,
“17 Learn to do good;  Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.”
These are medium of showing forth the praises of God, reaching out to the less privileges, these makes God smile over you. Through your good works, the praise of God is shown forth and He will be glorified.
Lord, help me show forth your praises through my good works on a daily bases, when convenient and not convenient, in Jesus Mighty Name I pray, Amen.

Bible Reading: Rev. 12:11
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”
THROUGH OUR TESTIMONY
This week, we will be studying how to show forth the praise of God. Showing forth God’s  praise is what is required of every living soul. The difference between you and the dead should be you telling others what God has done for you. God specifically choose us, separated us out of the world, He lavished His grace and mercy upon us for a purpose, and this purpose is to let others know Him through His works in us but the reverse has been the case, we praise ourselves for being alive, we assume we know when to go out and come in without encountering evil, No, He kept us alive for His own praise.
We can show forth God’s praise by testifying about His goodness to others. We should let others know, that we are nothing without the leading and help of God. We need to make it known that, His blood is the reason we are living not by our power or experience. Showing forth His praise through our testimony is a way of calling others to Jesus Christ.
When last did you testify of God’s goodness in the congregation? As a Man of God, how often do you testify of what God has done through you rather than praising yourself for what God did? Create a room to testify about what God has done for you, by doing this, you are showing forth His praise and winning soul into His Kingdom.
I testify of your sustenance in my life and family, over all you’ve done around me, only you deserve the praise Oh Lord. I refuse to ascribe it to myself. It all belongs to you, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Gen. 26:12-14
“12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in  the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. 13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very  prosperous; 14 for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.”
INSTRUCTION + HARD WORK
God discourages idleness. Following God’s instructions doesn’t mean you sit and fold your hands without using your brain. God gave us brain to think and reason, and effect changes. If you will hear me right, God does speaks and instruct us through our thinking. God won’t instruct you on what to do 100%, No, He gave us our reasoning faculty to move in line with His instructions.
No where was it found in the Bible that, God instructed Isaac to farm or dig well, but His reasoning, which was guided by God’s instructions, led him into doing all these. God doesn’t bless nothing, He blesses something. Sitting down, waiting for the next instructions is not spiritual. Putting your brain to work every moment is a yawning for God’s instruction. Stop being lazy, God doesn’t have interest in lazy people.
Colo. 4:23-24
“23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the  inheritance; for a you serve the Lord Christ.”
Philippians 4:8
“8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true,  whatever things are noble, whatever things  are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things   are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if  there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
Think right on what to do, don’t just sit down waiting for God. He gave you brain to ease Himself (… ye are god) .
Oh Lord, open my eyes and understand to see what to apply my brain towards in bringing to past your purpose over my life, in Jesus Precious Name I pray, Amen.

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Gen. 26:32-33
“32 It came to pass the same day that Isaac’s  servants came and told him about the well which they had dug, and said to him, “We have found water.” 33 So he called it Shebah. Therefore the name of the city is Beersheba e to this day.”
DIVINE STABILITY
Continuous success and achievement is in God. Remember, no one can know your use like the one who created you. You can’t be a miss-use in His hands. So when he is instructing you, it’s in the interest of your expected end, a flourishing place and a settled destination. God will not call anyone to shame and lack, He will always call you to glorification, though, not instant, it’s a process of time, and this process is in continuous listening to His directives – Instructions.
Isaac was permanently established after the King came with His friends to make an oath of peace with him. God gave him a sign of divine settlement with the news of a new watered well discovery. May I tell you this morning, that God is  not just planning of making a room for you, He is planing to enlarge and establish you. He is ready to make you great and stabilize you in Jesus Mighty Name.
How instructive are you? Do you always listen to His instruction or you always see the negative side of his instructions? Are you really ready for He’s leading? Seek for His next instructions to carry out. He is ready to lead as many as are ready to listen and follow His instructions.
Father, i’m available, speak to me, I need your instructions to direct me rightly, in Jesus Mighty Name have I prayed, Amen.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Gen. 26:26-30
“26 Then Abimelech came to him from Gerar with Ahuzzath, one of his friends, and Phichol the commander of his army. 27 And Isaac said to them, “Why have you come to me, since you hate me and have sent me away from you?” 28 But they said, “We have certainly seen that the LORD is with you. So we said, ‘Let there now be an oath between us, between you and us; and  let us make a covenant with you, 29 that you will  do us no harm, since we have not touched you,  and since we have done nothing to you but good  and have sent you away in peace. You are now  the blessed of the LORD.’ ”
KINGS WILL BOW TO YOU
A nobody of today can become a capstone of a nation tomorrow. That you are a nobody today but you are following the instructions of God, the world can bow to you in a jiffy. Following God’s instructions will make your enemies seek peace with you without your invitation.
Deut. 28:1&7
“1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently  obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I  command you today, that the LORD your God will  set you high above all nations of the earth.”
7 “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise  against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”
Listening to God’s instructions and carrying it out is the best way to defeat our enemies. Isaac dwell in the land of famine and he became wealthy that the king envied him and sent him packing. The wealth kept increasing and the King have to pay him a visit in the valley of Gerar to seek for peace oath. That means the whole Gerar was afraid of Isaac. The King said, “we have certainly seen that the Lord is with you” “You are now the blessed of the Lord”. What a sentence.
Father, I realise I don’t need to fight my battle myself, I just need to follow your instructions day in day out. Give me the patience to listen to your instructions and carry them out accordingly, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
