TOPIC: GRACE IS ATTRACTED: THROUGH DETERMINED FAITH

Memory Verse: Romans 16:24.
“24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen.”

Bible Reading: Math. 15:21-28
“21 Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.”
23 But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send  her away, for she cries out after us.”
24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!”
26 But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”
27 And she said, “woman Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
There are situations we find ourselves in life that the only way out is through determined faith. God’s Grace answers faster in such times. Your determination to hold on to your faith in spite of the hurdles around, attract God’s Grace.
The Canaanite woman was in need of Jesus’ help, but Jesus kept quiet without any response. The disciples came to Jesus to send her on her way, Jesus said, he was not sent to her because she wasn’t a lost sheep of Israelite. Then, the woman worshiped Jesus and he told her, she was not qualified for such miracle, since she’s a dog and not a sheep, it sounded like a slap on this woman. At this junction, any person will feel, I have tried, let me leave this man alone. But a determined faith pressed further in order to activate the Grace of God, and she threw in her last faith, “And she said, “ Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
There, God’s Grace was activated. That determined faith made Jesus release the Grace at his disposer. How determined are you with your faith? Do you give up on faith so easily? When your faith is consistent God’s Grace is sure. The woman’s daughter was healed and she became a testimony today.

TOPIC: GRACE IS ATTRACTED: THROUGH GOOD CHARACTER

Memory Verse: Romans 16:24.
“24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen.”

Bible Reading: Esther 2:15-18
“15 Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of  Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his  daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but  what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her.
16 So Esther was taken to King  Ahasuerus, into his royal palace, in the tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
17 The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight  more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.
18 Then the king made a great feast, the Feast of Esther, for all his officials and servants; and he proclaimed a holiday in the provinces and gave gifts according to the generosity of a king.”
Nothing speaks for someone like good character. How we behave, talk and deal with people around us, including our parents and guidance goes along way in attracting Grace to us. Good character is what sustain one in any area of life. It attract God himself into our life.
Esther was an orphan who was furtunate to have an uncle who cared for her. Mordecai trained her until she became a favorite to everyone who came in contact with her. Esther was respectful, teachable and obedient. These good characters in her earned her a place in the king’s palace in the sight of Hegai the king’s eunuch and also earned her God’s Grace in the sight of the king. Her character was what attracted God’s Grace to her.
What can people say about your character? Are you teachable? Do you love to be corrected? How has been your respect to your parents and guidance? In your work place, what can people say about you? Can your character earn you a place in the  sight of your boss? Good character attract God’s Grace, even the king couldn’t resist it. Work on your character and enjoy the Grace of God.

TOPIC: GRACE IS ATTRACTED: THROUGH SERVICE

Memory Verse: Romans 16:24.
“24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen.”

Bible Reading: Ps. 89:20-21
“20 I have found My servant David; With My holy oil I have anointed him, 21 With whom My hand shall be established; Also My arm shall strengthen him.”
Grace of God answers to service. Every wholehearted servants enjoy Grace even without requesting for it. Service to God calls the attention of God. When we talk about service, most time, we think about only services render in the place of worship, no, even In your home, to your spouse, in the place of work, environment and community, service to others is attracting God’s Grace upon yourself.
David was in the bush serving his father, protecting his fathers sheep day and night, and the Lord saw this service as a qualification for Grace. God’s Grace fetched him out of the bush to be the king of His people. God said, “I have found my Servant, David”, but he was serving his father by taking care of the sheep.
Who are you serving? You can serve more than a master at once, (in the church, home and work place). Service that attract God’s Grace doesn’t involve complaining, grumbling or pretence. Eye service is not included but wholeheartedness and commitment are the tools to service that attract God’s Grace. When your master is not around, do you still serve as if he/she is present? Are you always happy to carry out his instructions without any profit? Can your service attract God’s Grace? Don’t just pray for Grace, work it out with your service.
Father, help me render services that attract you Grace in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: GRACE IS ATTRACTED: THROUGH HUMILITY

Memory Verse: Romans 16:24.
“24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen.”

Bible Reading: Exo. 33:12-14
“12 Then Moses said to the LORD, “See, You say  to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’
13 Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.”
14 And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Numb. 12:3
“3 (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)”
For anyone to enjoy the Grace of God, there must be a virtue that singles such one out. God’s Grace is meant for all but not all can enjoy it. That virtue is what attract God’s grace upon you. We’ve seen how walking with God and the Fear of God attracted Grace upon Noah and Job. Today, we are studying Moses.
Moses was declared, the most humble man on the surface of the earth by God not by men. He was so humble that he never saw His opportunity of speaking with God as an advantage against other prophets. He’s humility made him question God’s  rejection of the children of Israel when they made God angry. This humble man, Moses, was attacked by his blood brother and sister about marrying an Ethiopian and God showed up for him, Numb. 12:1-10. Moses said to God, if I have found grace in your sight, show me your way” and God revealed Himself to Him.
James 4:8,
“6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble”
The humble enjoy the Grace of God. With genuine humility, you can attract God’s Grace upon your life. How humble are you? Can grace locate your humility?
Be humble, to receive God’s Grace.

TOPIC: GRACE IS ATTRACTED: THROUGH THE FEAR OF GOD

Memory Verse: Romans 16:24.
“24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen.”

Bible Reading: Job 1:1 & 8.
“1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose  name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and  shunned evil.
“8 Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you  considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
The fear of God, says the wise man, is the beginning of wisdom. The Fear of God attract the Grace of God. When you remember what God dislike before taking any action you are on the verge of attracting God’s Grace upon your life. The fear of God makes one stand out before God and man.
Job was singled out all because of the Fear of God and, this attracted God’s Grace upon him. He told the devil, “Have you  considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth” (because of his fear for God). The devil knew him for his blameless life and his reverence for God. When you put God’s Fear first in your life, you are attracting His Grace upon your life. The Grace was available for job even when devil dealt with him and the Grace of God upon him still restore all losses back into his life.
Do you really fear God?  Have you ever considered what His desires are before taken those steps? The fear of God gives wisdom and attract God grace.
Be guided by the Fear of God, by so doing, you are attracting God’s Grace upon your life.

TOPIC: GRACE IS ATTRACTED: BY PLEASING GOD

Memory Verse: Romans 16:24.
“24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen.”

Bible Reading: Gen. 6:8-10
“8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.  Noah Pleases God 9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.”
The Grace of God is one important gift needed by all. Every achievement in life is traceable to God’s Grace. The reason why two persons succeeded in the same business amidst twenty persons is God’s Grace. What differentiate us from one another is Grace. Also, Grace is in levels and in sizes. The Grace of God over a church is not by crowd nor by wealth but by God’s faithfulness. This week, I want you to know that, Grace of God can be attracted in to your life. You can bring God’s Grace upon your self.
Noah, in a corrupted world, found the Grace of God. He attracted God’s Grace through pleasing God with a righteous life. We were made to know that, God was about destroying the whole world He created, Gen. 6:5-7. Despite the  corruption, Noah chooses to do God’s will. He was a just man, perfect in his generation and He walked with God, these attributes attracted God’s grace upon his life. When God concluded to destroy everything He made, those attribute attracted God’s Grace and He was excluded.
God doesn’t waste His Grace. It’s meant for everybody but not everybody can have it. What, in you life, can attract His Grace? Do you have something that can attract God’s Grace into your life? How righteous are you? Do you walk alone or you walk with God? Who do you please, yourself, others or God first? Noah never prayed for grace but he attracted it. Start attracting God’s Grace with something in your life.
Happy Father’s Day to all our Fathers and Fathers in the making. Every virtue to be the father God ordained us to be will be release in us in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Unproductive Attract Replacement.

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
“18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not  bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not  kissed him.”

Bible Reading: Math. 3:7-10
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and  Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them,  “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,
9 and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have  Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Inactive for God is one of the reasons why God can replace someone. Not doing what God has assigned you makes you replaceable. You may be filled with the anointing but using it wrongly. Your talent may be the best but when you misuse it, you are prepared to be replaced. Refusing to do His will is an invitation to God’s replacement. God is never happy replacing his children or reassigning the same duty to a different person. How responsible are you with the duty He has assigned you?
John the Baptist was speaking to the Pharisees and the Sadducees that, they are all replaceable by God. Being the children of Abraham doesn’t mean they can’t be replace. He said God can raise the stones to become the children of Abraham. When you are not productive, God is ready to cut you off and assigned someone else to take your place. John The Baptist said, the Axe is place at the root of the tree to be cut off for not productive. Hope you are not one of them? Hope you are functioning at your duty place? The Lord might have been merciful but He is also a terrible God. He can replace any one at any time, I pray we will not be among those He will replace in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Lord Jesus, I don’t want to be replace from my duty place, I want you to help me complete the mission you gave to me here on earth. Help me locate the assignment  fully in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

GREED CAUSES REPLACEMENT

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
“18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not  bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not  kissed him.”

Bible Reading: Math. 26:14-16, Acts 1:20-26,
14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests
15 and said, “What are  you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.
16 So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.”

Acts 1:20-26,
“20 “For it is written in the Book of Psalms: ‘Let his dwelling place be desolate, And let no one live in it’; and, ‘Let e another take his office.’
21 “Therefore, of these men who have  accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus  went in and out among us,
22 beginning from  the baptism of John to that day when He was taken up from us, one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”
23 And they proposed two: Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
24 And they prayed and said, “You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen
25 to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own  place.” 26 And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.”
Many Christians have been sacked and replaced with their subordinates all because of greed. Greed has led many to early grave leaving their positions for someone else. Seeking for what does not rightfully belongs to you and taking it by force is deadly. Greed has turn many to ritualist, some has involved themselves in dirty deals which made their spouse and family get a replacement of them even while alive.
Judas was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. Greed led him to betray Jesus Christ, His master and the saviour of the world and after his death, a replacement for him was searched out by the disciples, I pray for someone today, that spirit of greed will not cause your replace, but the spirit will be replace with endurance in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
What you seek after greedily, God can give to you honourably. Judas ends his life without spending the thirty pieces of silver he betrayed Jesus with. Greed has never lifted any one up permanently, it only lifts one up for his/her replacement. May we not be replace from our active services In Jesus Might Name, Amen.
Father help me with the spirit of endurance in all situation of my life In Jesus Mighty Name I pray, Amen.

FEAR CAUSES REPLACEMENT

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
“18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not  bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not  kissed him.”

Bible Reading: 1 Kings 13:1-3,14-17
“1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done,  also how he had executed all the prophets with  the sword. 2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So let the gods do to me, and  more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.” 3 And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.”
“14 And he said, “I have been very zealous for the  LORD God of hosts; because the children of  Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down  Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the  sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my  life.” 15 Then the LORD said to him: “Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael as king over Syria. 16 Also you shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel. And Elisha the son of  Shaphat of Abel Meholah you shall anoint as  prophet in your place. 17 It shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill.”
Fear is another weapon that can cause the replacement of a man. Many are unable to separate being careful from being fearful. To be careful is to be sensitive and watchful but to be fearful is to conclude and accept defeat.
Prophet Elijah is a man of fire, 2 Kings 1:1-12. He is the man who executed 850 prophet of Baal and asherah, 1 Kings 18:40. He is a prayer machine, 1 Kings 18:41-44. He speaks to kings without fear, but the same Elijah was replaced all because of fear of Jezebel. He ran away and left his servants behind, what an irony? Can Jezebel be so strong to resist the fire of God? Can she be that powerful to resist his prayers? No, but He was afraid to face her and he ran away.
God met him and he was complaining of all the occurrences. God never listen to his comments. He command him to get three replacement for himself. He was so powerfully endowed that one person couldn’t contain his power. From him alone two kings were anointed and prophet Elisha. May we not be afraid to the extent of being replaced in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. That spirit of fear in us that stop us from following God’s leading is cast out in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
It was Elijah’s fear for Jezebel that produces Elisha, Jehu and Hazael as his replacement. What are those fear that you’ve set above God? Stop seeing fear and start seeing God in that situation.
1 Tim. 2:7
“7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

PRIDE BRINGS REPLACEMENT

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
“18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not  bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not  kissed him.”

Bible Reading: Esther 1:10-12, 19, 2:16-17
“10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the  king was merry with wine, he commanded  Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, seven eunuchs who served  in the presence of King Ahasuerus,
11 to bring  Queen Vashti before the king, wearing her royal crown, in order to show her beauty to the people and the officials, for she was beautiful to behold.
12 But Queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s command brought by his eunuchs; therefore the king was furious, and his anger burned within him.”
“19 If it pleases the king, let a royal decree go out from him, and let it be  recorded in the laws of the Persians and the  Medes, so that it will not be altered, that Vashti  shall come no more before King Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal position to another  who is better than she.”
“16 So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus, into his royal palace, in the  tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
17 The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she  obtained grace and favor in his sight more than  all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her  head and made her queen instead of Vashti.”
Prov. 29:23,
“23 A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.”
Prov. 16:18,
“18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.”
James 4:6,
“6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
The fastest way to being replace is pride. The easiest way for God to do away with anyone is through pride. He resist, meaning, God avoid, reject, refuse the proud around Him. What is pride? It’s seeing yourself higher, better and greater than others whom you were once equal or who helped you up. It’s overrating yourself compare to others when you’re not what you claim yet. Using your temporary position against others. It’s a way to become an enemy of God.
Vashti became a Queen because she was married to the King but she felt she has been made, she’s now the Queen and can make her decisions on her own. She rejected the command of the King which was as a result of Pride. She failed to realised that, the one who made her a Queen can also replace her with a slave. She was under the control of the title, “Queen” and the same title was removed and placed on Esther as her replacement.
Humility, on the other hand, is a way to replace the proud. “He gives grace to the humble.” Are you influenced by your position wealth, age,  wisdom or property? Listen, your replacement is already prepared waiting for the day of ordination. Remember God can’t create who He can’t replace. You talk to anyone anyhow, watch out, that person might even be your replacement.
My Father and My God, subdue the spirit of pride and enable the spirit of humility in me, In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
