TOPIC: FATHER, LOCATE ME FOR AN ENCOUNTER 2: In My Abandoned Place

Memory Verse: Psalms 18:19
“He brought me out to a wide-open place. He rescued me because he was pleased with me.”

Bible Reading: John 5:1-9
“1 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew,  Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting  for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the  water, was made well of whatever disease he had.
5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made  well?”
7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but  while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.  And that day was the Sabbath.”
Many of us has been abandoned in a particular place where nobody could find us by the virtue of looking for help. Many has been turned to slave, used as a housemaid or house help just because we needed some help from someone, I pray today, may heaven locate us and place us at our rightful places in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
This man was abandoned for thirty-eight good years in the name of seeking for help, in the name of looking for a way out of his predicament. He was left there in a point with the mind of “one day it will be my turn” our turn shall come and we will be repositioned in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. Jesus Christ located him, and had pity on him. Regardless of the wrong focus of the man on the pool, Jesus forcefully helped him by giving him the needed healing. Today, where people has abandoned us, relegated us, where our situations has permanent us, God, in His Mightiness, will locate us all in Jesus Mighty Name.
1. Father, locate me and attend to my situations.
2. Locate me and change my status.
3. Locate my destiny and give it a meaning in Jesus Mighty Name.

TOPIC: FATHER, LOCATE ME FOR AN ENCOUNTER: In My Relegated Positon.

Memory Verse: Psalms 18:19
“He brought me out to a wide-open place. He rescued me because he was pleased with me.”

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 16:8-12
8 “Then Jesse called Abinadab and brought him to Samuel. But Samuel said, “The Lord has not chosen this one either.”
9 Then Jesse had Shammah come to Samuel. “The Lord has not chosen this one either,” Samuel said.
10 So Jesse brought seven more of his sons to Samuel, but Samuel told Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen any of these.
11 Are these all the sons you have?” “There’s still the youngest one,” Jesse answered. “He’s tending the sheep.”
Samuel told Jesse, “Send someone to get him. We won’t continue until he gets here.”
12 So Jesse sent for him. He had a healthy complexion, attractive eyes, and a handsome appearance. The Lord said, “Go ahead, anoint him. He is the one.”
I will like us to pray for ourselves this week. Our prayer focus will be for God to locate us wherever we are with His encounter. Reproach, mockery, shame and embarrassment are as a result of lack of encounter with God. When God locate one and visit such person, it always end in testimony, I pray with someone today, this week, God will locate you in your hiding places in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
The bush was the best hiding place for David the son of Jesse. He remained there to keep himself from every molestation at home. His Seven brothers were at home, even his father couldn’t remember him for the sanctification according to Prophet Samuel, because they’ve thought, “What can become of Him?” Heaven will remember us in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. But God have an agenda for Him as He also have an agenda for us all. He was the reason the prophet came to the house of Jesse. David was located and he’s case was attended to, because of David, the record of the Bible couldn’t be completed without mentioning Jesse. He became the best king in Israel till date. It’s our turn to be located for a turn around. It’s our turn to be fetched out for destiny accomplishments in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Let’s pray this prayers together.
1. Oh Lord, locate me where I am hiding, and take me to my rightful place.
2. Locate me in this relegated place and take me to my large place in Jesus Mighty Name.
3. Change my position and put an end to mockery in my Life in Jesus Mighty Name.
I believe you understand this message better according to your present situation, make this your prayer points this week and the Lord will visit us all in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: OUR GOD FORGIVES AND FORGETS: WE ARE ALL SINNERS

Memory Verse: Ps. 30:5
“5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”

Bible Reading: John 8:3-11
“3 Then the scribes and  Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst,
4 they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in  the very act.
5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?”
6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.
7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”
8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by  their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the  oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had  raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of  yours? Has no one condemned you?”
11 She said, “No one, Lord  And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
Romans 3:23
“23  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
A sinner calling someone a sinner. An armed robber accusing someone for stealing, who is the worst? If God should open every believers secret we will be astonish all. David said in Psalm 103:3,
“3 If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?”
When we keep placing mark on others, calling them names, have we searched out ourselves to know our sins? Have we sat down to weigh our sins compare to theirs? Jesus said, “He who is without sin among you, let him cast a stone at her first.”, meaning, the only judge here is the one who has never sinned in his life, and everybody began to think of their sinful ways which might be worst than the woman’s sins. They knew Jesus could reveal their secret sins,so they all disappear one after the other. Jesus said, if none of your accusers condemned you, I can’t condemn you either, go and sin no more. Christianity is where we see a falling soldier and kill him instead of helping him. Brethren, paradventure God has forgiven those people you focused on as sinners. He has moved on to protect and guide the same people. Just as God has forgiven your wrongs,  He has done to others also. Stop castigating someone. Our God forgives and forget sins, as long as we call on Him, confess our sins and repent of it. He is too faithful to still see us as a sinner.
Can we go to Him this morning and make known our shortcomings to Him? Let speak to Him to forgive and forget our sins in order to live a pleasing life to Him.

TOPIC: OUR GOD FORGIVES AND FORGETS: HE KNOWS OUR FRAME

Memory Verse: Ps. 30:5
“5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”

Bible Reading: Daniel 4:25-27
“25 They shall drive you from men, your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen. They shall wet  you with the dew of heaven, and seven times  shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and  gives it to whomever He chooses.
26 “And inasmuch as they gave the command to leave the stump and roots of the tree, your kingdom shall be assured to you, after you come to know that Heaven rules.
27 Therefore, O king, let my advice be acceptable to you; break off your sins by being righteous, and your iniquities by  showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps there may be a lengthening of your prosperity.”
No matter who you are and where you are, God knows about it. When you fight against the righteous and win, it’s for a purpose not because their God couldn’t save them from your hand but because God is using you to punish them, don’t jubilate yet, watch your steps. God put good in evil and evil in good, so when good comes search for the other side in it and when evil comes search for the other side also. This is my point, God has an already made plan to see us through (granting you tolerance) the punishment of our sins.
God for told the sin and the fall of Nebuchadnezzar and also foretell his restoration. He gave him, (The King) the revelation prior everything. Just like saying,
“Son, you will misbehave, and am ganna deal with you seriously, so you can know that I am still the overall God and I can displace, replace and still sustain anyone I want”. The king sinned accordingly through the spirit of pride and the fall came on him mightily. He became an animal for good Seven years, as in, 365 days in seven places, meaning, the throne was empty for Seven years. Hunters saw him in the bush and refuse to kill Him. God is the only one that does what He wants and pleases him, and nobody can change it. Unquestionable God, you are God indeed.
My point today, 1 Corinth. 10:13,
“No temptation has  overtaken you except such as is common to  man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
God has already provided a way of escape from the sins ahead of us only for us to look up to heaven and accept He’s reign over us
Daniel 4:34
“34 At the end of the seven time periods, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven, and my mind came back to me. I thanked the Most High, and I praised and honored the one who lives forever, because his power lasts forever and his kingdom lasts from one generation to the next.
All you need is to surrender to God totally. He’s aware of those sins before you committed them but he wants you back because He has already forgiven and forgotten them ahead of time. Just go to Him and explain your sins, He’s hand is wide open.

TOPIC: OUR GOD FORGIVES AND FORGETS: AS GOD’S SERVANT, YOU ARE PARDONABLE

Memory Verse: Ps. 30:5
“5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor  is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”

Bible Reading: 1 Kings 19:1-9
“1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, also how he had executed all the prophets with the sword.
2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this  time.”
3 And when he saw  that, he arose and ran for his  life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.
4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the  wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough!  Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!”
5 Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.”
6 Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again.
7 And the angel of the  LORD came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.”
8 So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty  nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God.
9 And there he went into a cave, and spent the night in that place; and behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and He said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
I wish I could see the woman called Jezebel. The woman who caused a man of fire to run for days because of her threat. I wondered how Elijah rated himself compare to the woman. Elijah was so much afraid of a queen and not the king himself and God was displease with him. God was so angry that He replied Elijah, I still have seven thousand prophet who haven’t bow to Baal nor kiss it, 1 Kings 19:18.
God have trusted us to some level that we are not suppose to let Him down. Elijah’s fear for Jezebel was a slap on God, that made God gave him the order to install three people for his replacement which Elijah did wholeheartedly, 1 Kings 19:15-17. Who could have thought that, same Elijah will be taken away by a whirlwind? God has put behind Him what Elijah did why? Because he is a man who served Him truthfully. He was a man who stand and represented God well. So God have a good record about him.
Your service and good representation of God will cause him to forgive and forget your wrongs. Though you might not escape the punishment but you will fulfill His purpose for your life. Are you representing God well? Hope you are standing for Him? He loves you and He is ready to look away from your sins. Stand for Him.

I wish you all a Happy New Month. This month shall respond to you positively in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: OUR GOD FORGIVES AND FORGETS: PICK YOUR PIECE AND STAND UP

Memory Verse: Ps. 30:5
“5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor  is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”

Bible Reading: Judges 14:1-3
“1 Now Samson went down to Timnah, and saw a woman in Timnah of the daughters of the  Philistines.
2 So he went up and told his father and mother, saying, “I have seen a woman in Timnah of the daughters of the Philistines; now  therefore, get her for me as a wife.”
3 Then his father and mother said to him, “Is  there no woman among the daughters of your  brethren, or among all my people, that you must go and get a wife from the uncircumcised  Philistines?” And Samson said to his father, “Get her for me,  for she pleases me well.”
Judges 16:4-6
“4 Afterward it happened that he loved a woman  in the Valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.
5 And the lords of the Philistines came up to her and said to her, “Entice him, and find out where his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind him to  afflict him; and every one of us will give you eleven hundred pieces of silver.”  6 So Delilah said to Samson, “Please tell me  where your great strength lies, and with what you may be bound to afflict you.”
If I were God, I would have been done with Samson and search for someone like Joseph for a replacement, but it’s unfortunate, I am Emmanuel who can’t tell God what to do, (Smile). Many times, long ago, God has forgotten our sins, He is just waiting for us to pick up our piece, stand to our feet and start moving. To learn from our mistakes and apply it, but we are still sink down in our unforgiveness, we need to wake up.
Samson couldn’t realise that women and wrong decision were his problem. He went against God’s instruction and force his parents to do his bidding. Then he fell into the hands of a woman who will end His reign over Israel but he knew not. His down fall came and swallowed him up. But, one day, he realized he was sent by God to deliver the Israelite and knew God still love him, then he cried out to God,
Judges 16:28-30
“28 Then Samson called to the LORD, saying, “O  Lord GOD, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I  pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one  blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my  two eyes!”
29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left.
30 Then Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than  he had killed in his life.”
God has forgiven those sins you refuse to let go. He is waiting for you to get up and complete the race ahead of you. Samson finished God’s will concerning his life despite the wrong request to die with his enemies but God still forgave him, wiped his sins and listened to his request. Cry to God this morning and forgive yourself of your past sins.  Ask for the grace to move on with the race. He has forgotten your wrongs.

TOPIC: OUR GOD FORGIVES AND FORGETS: ACCEPT YOUR MISTAKES

Memory Verse: Ps. 30:5
“5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor  is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”

Bible Reading: Exo. 2:11-12
“11 Now it came to pass in those days, when  Moses was grown, that he went out to his  brethren and looked at their burdens. And he  saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his  brethren.
12 So he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.”
Numb. 12:1
“1 Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman.”
Numb. 20:9-12
“9 So Moses took the rod from before the LORD as He commanded him.
10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly  together before the rock; and he said to them,  “Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for  you out of this rock?”
11 Then Moses lifted his  hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and  water came out abundantly, and the  congregation and their animals drank.
12 Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron,  “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”
Moses is one of the greatest prophet of God. He walked, worked and spoke with God face to face. He was the most troubled among all the prophet of God. He was troubled by his siblings and the entire congregation who left Egypt. He faced a lot of insult and reproach from the children of Israelite but still he was able to stand tall.
This was not without errors, he sinned against God Almighty three different times. He killed an Egyptian, he married from the rejected nation and also disobeyed God’s instruction. But in all, God forgave and forgot all his mistakes because of whom God is, the merciful God.
Jude 1:9
“9  Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”
Despite all his errors, God forgave him and sent His Archangel to carry Moses’s body, denying all accusations against Him. When you accept  your fault and refuse to prove your innocency there’s forgiveness and forgetfulness of your sins, but when you keep proving your right to God, your sins will remain before God and judgement stands. I pray, that the spirit to admit, when we err from God’s commandments, will rest upon us all in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: OUR GOD FORGIVES AND FORGETS: Submission Is The Key.

Memory Verse: Ps. 30:5
“5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor  is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”

Bible Reading: Acts 9:1-7
“1 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest
2 and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to  Jerusalem.
3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.
4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him,  “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”
6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
7 And the men who journeyed with him stood  speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one.
God is not a man neither is He a reminder of the sins He has forgiven you of. When he let go off your sins or iniquities He covers it up without remembrance. He might be angry with you for a certain attitude or disobedience but if you can submit to His supremacy He will let go off your faults because He is God who forgives and forgets our mistakes.
Apostle Paul was a man who was zealous in killing any member of the “Way” – followers of Jesus, in his days. He received authority to kill followers of Jesus without being judged. He was there when Evangelist Steve was killed in Act 7:57-58. He received another letter to go after the disciples of Jesus and the Lord arrested him. I was expecting Jesus to start calling the names of every martiar he has killed but No, the Lord led him to Ananias to give his life to Jesus. Throughout his time, his past was not mentioned by God. God forgave him and forgot his evil act since he submitted to Him. He went on to write two third of the new testament. He was always found where persecution against Christianity was hot.
Your sins can be forgotten and forgiven if you will submit to God’s will for your life. He is not a man that will keep account of all your wrongs. He is faithful and just to forget our wrongs and put them behind him. No sins can’t be forgotten by God if we are submissive. Can you submit your sins and submit yourself?

TOPIC: OUR SUSTAINER: THANK YOU

Memory Verse: Romans 8:31
“31 What then shall we say to these things? If  God is for us, who can be against us?”
Bible Reading: Romans 8:31-32
“31 What then shall we say to these things? If  God is for us, who can be against us?
32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”
Today, being the last Sunday of June, the last Sunday of the half of the year, our Lord and God deserve our full praise.
This is the Twenty-sixth Sunday of the year and you are here safe, sound and hearty, He deserve your praise.
Apostle Paul says, “If God be for us who can be against us?” It’s a question. Apostle Paul was simply saying, God will go the extra mile to stand in for us. He will not allow us to be put to shame or defeated. Daddy deserve our praise.
Can you give an account of the victories the Lord has given you these past six months? The bills that was paid on your behalf miraculously? The healings you’ve enjoyed this year? Can you quantify them all? Jesus deserves all our thanks?
Death rate this year can’t be counted, you and I have not been a partaker of these, I think we need to give God a special thanksgiving today in our various churches. We need to offer Him our dance offering, Praise offering and resources offering for His sustenance till date.
Father, we celebrate your life in us. We thank you for sustaining us so far. You’ve kept us thus far, we are grateful. You preserved us till date, you are worthy of our praise. Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good and His Mercy endures for ever, Amen.

TOPIC: GRACE IS ATTRACTED: SIN REPEL GRACE

Memory Verse: Romans 16:24.
“24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all, Amen.”

Bible Reading: Romans 6:1-3
“1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
3 Or do you not know  that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?”
We’ve been discussing on how we can attract the Grace of God to ourselves. However, we can walk into God’s Grace without praying for it. How good it is for everyone whom God lavishes His Grace upon? They are unique everywhere they are, I pray the Grace of God will rest upon us all in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Sin repels  Grace. No matter the principles we follow sin will stop grace from coming closer to us. We all have received Grace for knowing Christ but we are to move from that level of grace to the next. We are not meant to be stagnant in a spot concerning God’s Grace. Apostle Paul said, “shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? And the answer is no. Sin rejects the flow of grace. Wherever there is sin, grace can’t operate. God is too holy to behold sin and if He will not behold you, His Grace can’t see such person.
What is that sin in your life that is denying you God’s Grace? What is that sin you cling unto like a cloth? Does it worth it to loose God’s Grace? Are you happy the way you are with the sin and God’s Grace being far from you? It’s not too late to make the right decision. Today is the day the Lord has made for your salvation. Repent of those sins and turn to God. He is waiting and ready to receive you to Himself. Call on Him today and He will answer you and release His Grace upon you afresh.
You can say this prayer with me:
Father, am sorry for indulging in this/these sin(s). I know you love me more than I love the sins. I desire to walk in the life of Grace. Lord God, forgive me of my sins and take me as your child. I renounce sin(s) in my life today, I receive the Grace not to go back into it/them any more, Thank you Lord for saving me, in Jesus Mighty Name I pray, Amen.
