TOPIC: STUDY ON LUKE 5:1-11: ACT BEYOND YOUR DOUBT

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19.
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: Luke 5:4-6
“4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to  Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down  your nets for a catch.”
5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master,  we have toiled all night and caught nothing;  nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”
6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
There are times when prophesies come through people we never believe could be used by God or people with doubtable character, as long as the prophesies is not negative, do the needful and move on. God can use anybody and anything to speak to you. Even when you are in doubt, give it a trial as long as it doesn’t have negative impart on your life.
Jesus said to Peter, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” Two instructions were given to Peter,
1. Launch out into the deep – go back to your duty post,
2. Let down the nets for a catch – stretch more than one net to the sea.
But Peter carried out the first instruction fully but half of the second  instruction, he let down a net and not the nets, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”
Letting down a net was a tremendous blessing to him but how would it have been if he let down the nets?
Believe God for what He says He will do. Follow his instructions fully even when you are in doubt, because God is not a player, He means what He says.
“If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

TOPIC: STUDY ON LUKE 5:1-11: INSTRUCTIONS PRECEDES GOD’S BLESSINGS

Memory Verse: Duet. 28:1
“1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently  obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I  command you today, that the LORD your God will  set you high above all nations of the earth.”

Bible Reading: Luke 5:3-4.
“3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.””
Many Christians didn’t fail in prayers, fastings or service but failed in obeying and carrying out God’s instructions. God doesn’t bless you without giving you an instruction. The answers to our prayers are always instructions, directions and commandment. So when you fail the instructions you loose the blessings, I pray for someone today, may you be able to recognise and follow God’s instructions rightly in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Peter gave all he had with him to Jesus ministry but that doesn’t bring the blessing directly. Instructions follows after his service, commitment and sacrifice. Just like Naaman, he was expecting Elisha to come and lay hands on him and receive the healing but it came with an instruction. At the Red Sea, instruction was given to Moses to stretch the rod to the sea. Likewise, instruction was givem to Peter, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” God is not a magician, He has His principles to every blessings He releases. Most times, His instructions looks stupid, foolish and insultive but thereby, we loose the blessings attached to it.
Can you have a rethink, hope you’ve not rejected the instruction that was suppose to lead you out of that situations? Hope you’ve not ridiculed God’s commandment because they look too normal or doesn’t look real? God might have finish your case long time by giving you some instructions to follow but you’ve not taken them. If yes, search it out and start doing what He says. He told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, I wouldn’t have believed it was God speaking to me if I were in his shoe, but, He was the one. Stop delaying your blessings and follow God’s given instruction for your breakthrough.
Father, open my eye, my ears and my heart to your instructions to me in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: STUDY ON LUKE 5:1-11:
ARE YOU AVAILABLE FOR HIM?

Memory Verse: 1 Corinth. 4:7
“7 For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?”

Bible Reading: Luke 5:1-3
“1 So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the  Lake of Gennesaret,
2 and saw two boats  standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone  from them and were washing their nets.
3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.”
Everything you have is from God. Whatever He gives you is meant for His glory. You and all you’ve gotten belongs  to Him as well. He needs those things you have for His glory and when you withhold it from Him He stop increasing what you have.
Yesterday, we saw how people were eager to hear God’s word and the extent they went with Jesus. Jesus needed a podium or an altar to reach out to them. Then He found two boats, which the owners were tired after a long day with fruitless labour. They’ve done all they could but couldn’t catch a fish. Jesus went into one of the boats and called the owner to paddle it around in order to reach out to the crowd.
God won’t bless or Increase what you have if you deny Him what you own presently. Sir’s and Ma’s, what you have is not for you alone, God kept them with you for an appointed time. Stop giving excuses for withholding what you have from God. Peter obeyed Jesus instructions, gave himself and his boat to God, regardless of his tiredness and his time schedule. He satisfied Jesus with everything he own. Give God your time. Give Him yourself. Give Him your resource, they are not just meant for you, it’s for God’s use. Stop denying people their blessing, release it to them. God need those things in your hands to bless their lives. Let God have access to you and what you have.

TOPIC: Study on Luke 5:1-11:
1. EAGERNESS FOR GOD’S WORD.

Memory Verse: Jere. 15:16
“16 Your words were found, and I ate them,  And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; For I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts.”

Bible Reading: Luke 5:1
“1 So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the  Lake of Gennesaret,”
The thirst for God’s word in Christianity is very rare these days. Believers have develop the ‘over familiarity’ attitude with God’s word. The eagerness to Know, Hear and Read God’s word is no more. We go to church to dance, sing and chat with friends but the eagerness for God’s word is no more. The word comes to us but we are not ready to receive it, how eager are you for God’s Word?
From our studied chapter, Jesus was locating a good position in order to satisfy the hunger of the people for God’s word. The scripture said, “they press around to hear the word of God”. They were so thirsty for the word of God. This made Jesus to begin the searche for a podium to be able to teach the crowd and satisfy their longing for God’s word.
When going to the place of worship, do you go there to hear the word? Are you ready to do the word or you are there to criticise the word? When the word comes and reveal our sins to us how do we receive it? Jeremiah said, “Your words were found, and I ate them,” how often do we eat God’s word? We rather screen God’s word and select what pleases us. Most men of God try to preach selective words in order not to hurt the financial of the church. Where do you belong? Are you interested in God’s word or other activities in His presences? Do you have the time to open God’s word daily?
Joshua 1:8,
“8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall  meditate in it day and night, that you may  observe to do according to all that is written in it.  For then you will make your way prosperous, and  then you will have good success.”

TOPIC: BE GRATEFUL NO MATTER WHAT

Memory Verse: Psalms 34:1
“1 I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

Bible Reading: Isaiah 38:17-19
“17 Indeed it was for my own peace That I had great bitterness; But You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit  of corruption, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.
18 For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your  truth.
19 The living, the living man, he shall praise You, As I do this day; The father shall make known Your truth to the  children.”
Many things makes us unqualified today for the grace of God we are enjoying. First of all is that fact that, we disobey God’s word a lot. We indulge in sins as we desire. Is it the attitude of ingratitude we want to talk about? Our complain goes beyond that of the Israelite. We hardly see any good around us. We hardly find reasons to tell God ‘Thank You’ but we keep going to Him with loads of request daily.
Has God done you well? Has he done you good? I ask this morning, why are you alive? Give me the reason why you should still be on earth? Are you that righteous that God can’t do without you? Are you that faithful that God can’t find your replacement? Do you think you are more precious in the sight of God that you are untouchable to Him? Sir’s/Ma’s, God has thousands of people to replace you better if He is ready to remove you, show Him gratitude. You are alive to praise Him. The dead can’t celebrate His faithfulness that’s why you are alive. So, If you can’t show Him your appreciation you are not worthy of living. The rich die. The poor does. His servants dies.  Then who are we to be alive? It’s all by His grace and mercy. Stop the complain and honour God with your praises this morning. Check around you, you will discover you couldn’t have been where you are if not for His grace. Let His praises be in your month today. Tell Him, Lord am grateful for all the benefit i have received from you till date. Celebrate His favour on your life today.

TOPIC: FATHER, LOCATE ME FOR AN ENCOUNTER 7: Make The Impossibility Possible in My Life

Memory Verse: Psalms 18:19
“He brought me out to a wide-open place. He rescued me because he was pleased with me.”

Bible Reading: Luke 1:26-38
“26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.
28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”
29 But when she saw  him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was.
30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.
32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”
35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.
36 Now indeed,  Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son  in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.
37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”
38 Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.”
There are things that can’t be done or perfected by men. There are situation that warrants the presence of God and His power. Issues that Men of God cannot provide answers to. Cases that doctors can”t explain or describe. Things that science can’t comprehend or prove. Occurrences that we term impossible or unfathomable. These are things that only God, in his infinite mercy, can do when He locates someone. He is the specialist of all situations. He is the final say to all circumstance that has no name. He said to Jeremiah,
Jeremiah 32:26-27,
“26 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, 27 “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?”
Meaning, is there any situation that I can’t handle, That will overpower me Or that I lack solutions for? The answer is No.
The God that made the old women pregnant in their ninety’s, – the Sarah, the Elizabeth. He who made a women without intercourse pregnant with a son, tell me what He cannot do? Nothing.
This morning, I pray with you, that same God will locate you in your situation in Jesus Mighty Name.
He will make the impossibility become possible for you.
That negative situation that men has tagged you with shall become your point of testimony in Jesus Mighty Name.
The God who located Mary through His angel will locate you.
Jesus will visit your health, your business, your purpose in Life, your marriage, your womb, your condition, in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Your next cry shall be for testimony, your next tears shall be for celebration.
That admission shall become a reality in Jesus Precious name. You will be sent for, you will be located, in Jesus Mighty Name, and so shall it be, your case shall become possible in Jesus Precious name I pray, Amen.
Prayers:
1. Oh Lord, turn all impossibility cases in my life to possibility.
2. Locate me for possibility this weekend.
We await your testimony this weekend, in Jesus Mighty Name.

TOPIC: FATHER, LOCATE ME FOR AN ENCOUNTER 6: Locate Me To Be A Blessing.

Memory Verse: Psalms 18:19
“He brought me out to a wide-open place. He rescued me because he was pleased with me.”

Bible Reading: 1 kings 17:8-16.
“8 Then the word of the LORD came to him,  saying,
9 “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.”
10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called  to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in  a cup, that I may drink.”
11 And as she was going  to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring  me a morsel of bread in your hand.”
12 So she said, “As the LORD your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”
13 And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son.
14 For thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the LORD sends rain on the  earth.’ ”
15 So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days.
16 The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke by Elijah.
One of the areas believers often fail the most is the area of being a blessing to others without expecting a rewarded. People tend to help those who can help them, give back in returns or reward them more than what they gave out. Having little doesn’t mean God can’t locate you to be a blessing to someone who have more than you had. When God locate you to give or sow a seed to a life, it’s always for your good.
The widow of Zarephath was located to be a blessing to Prophet Elijah, what a rare privilege!. She was a woman with last hope and little to live on, but God located her to be a blessing. Listen to me, some miracles, doors and provisions won’t locate you until you are located to be a blessing to someone. There is fulfillment in being located by God to be a solution that someone needs desperately. The situation of the Zarephath’s widow changed when she allowed herself to be used by God. She, her son and Prophet Elijah had enough to eat during famine.
When last did you help someone who can’t repay you? Many times God located us to be a blessings to others, we choose to mock them instead of helping them. We choose to give reasons why they don’t deserve any help. When God put it in your care to help someone, it’s always in your favour, may we be located by God to be a blessing in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Prayers:
1. Father, l’m available to be a blessing to others, locate me Oh lord.
2. Make me a solution to people that matters to you Oh Lord in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: FATHER, LOCATE ME FOR AN ENCOUNTER 5: Release Your Blessing On Me

Memory Verse: Psalms 18:19
“He brought me out to a wide-open place. He rescued me because he was pleased with me.”

Bible Reading: Luke 5:1-8
“1 So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the  Lake of Gennesaret,
2 and saw two boats  standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone  from them and were washing their nets.
3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to  Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down  your nets for a catch.”
5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master,  we have toiled all night and caught nothing;  nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”
6 And when they had done this, they caught a  great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
7 So they signaled to  their partners in the other  boat to come and help them. And they came and  filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.  8 When Simon Peter saw  it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a  sinful man, O Lord!”
When the Lord locate you for blessings your faith might not be able to carry it all. When the Lord find you worthy of His blessings, you will be afraid because God doesn’t bless in a little way, He blesses in a bigger way beyond our requests and expectation. This month, the miracle worker will locate you for His blessing in Jesus Mighty Name.
I’m promising to do a full study of this story soon because a lot of lessons are there for us to learn from and act upon.
Simon Peter was a great fisherman with experience and every needed equipment for the profession. But a day came when all his effort failed him, experience couldn’t work and quitting was the only step to take, then came Jesus, the Blessing Himself. He made use of Peter and his boat and after everything, He located his lacking area and blessed it. He blessed him in such away that his friends were also blessed.
God can bless you more than your boss. He can lift you above your contemporaries. God’s intention of blessing is that we become a blessing to others, I see you receiving that blessings in Jesus Mighty Name. Peter was located at a last minute and he received a multiple portion of blessings, that shall be your blessings this month in Jesus Precious name, Amen.
1. Father locate my work and bless it.
2. Locate my incomes and bless them.
3. Locate my life and enlarge my coast in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: FATHER, LOCATE ME FOR AN ENCOUNTER 4: Let My Gift Pave Ways for me.

Memory Verse: Psalms 18:19
“He brought me out to a wide-open place. He rescued me because he was pleased with me.”

Bible Reading: Psalms 105:17-21
“17 He sent a man before them —Joseph — who was sold as a slave.
18 They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons.
19 Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him.
20 The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free.
21 He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his possessions,”
Believers are stranded some times all because of neglect of their gifts and talents. Some have monetise the free gift of God upon their life and God left them with the human reward rather than His rewards. The way we make us of our God given talents can make us remain in bidding for life. God can’t even enjoy the gift He released on you because you don’t have time for Him.
Joseph was in the prison for sin he never committed. He was locked up for years in the  dungeon without the knowing of any of his family members. But one thing made God to locate him, His gift of interpretation of dream. He interpreted the dream of the cup bearer of King Pharaoh, the scripture said, “until his word came to pass” his interpretation came to pass, then the king sent for him and made him a ruler. His gift made God located him in the prison and was sent for.
Your talents and gift will make God to locate you faster. Don’t monetize what God gave you to use for His glory. Use it for God so he can locate you. Stop rating your talent low, stop seeing other peoples talent better of bigger than yours. Use it everywhere you are. Your present situation shouldn’t determine when to use your gifts and talents. I pray with you today, the time for your liberation is here in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
1. Lord God, let the set time for my word come and let me be located
2. Let my rightful seat be release unto me this month.
3. Men and women that have been blessed by the use of my talent and gift and they tend to have forgotten me, cause them to remember me this month in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: FATHER, LOCATE ME FOR AN ENCOUNTER 3: Reveal Your Ability In Me

Memory Verse: Psalms 18:19
“He brought me out to a wide-open place. He rescued me because he was pleased with me.”

Bible Reading: Judges 6:11-16
“11 Now the Angel of the LORD came and sat  under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah,  which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his  son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.
12 And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!”
13 Gideon said to Him, “O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us?  And where are all His miracles which our  fathers told us about, saying, ‘Did not the LORD  bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the LORD has  forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.”
14 Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go in  this might of yours, and you shall save Israel  from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”
15 So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”
16 And the LORD said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.”
Every man has God’s ability in them to make them who they are meant to be but because we, being hidden from the challenges around us, couldn’t see that ability in us. Every problem has an answer, is either we don’t know it or we didn’t accept the answer, and the answer lies within us.
Gideon was a man of valour but never knew he was. He was born into the habit of storing food away from the Midianites. He believed that was his best contribution to his nation not knowing he could do much more than that. As usual, he was stocking the food stuff when God located him and revealed the real Gideon to him. He couldn’t believe he was a man of valour. The angel said,
“The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!”
Check Gideon’s response;
13 Gideon said to Him, “O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us?
God was speaking to Gideon directly but he was generalizing it. Many of us has been located by God but refuse to take His instructions personally. We keep believing the words are not meant for us individually.
And the angel repeated the second time,
14 Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go in  this might of yours, and you shall save Israel  from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?”
Gideon gave another excuse being the smallest in every area with a prove,
“15 So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”
16 And the LORD said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.”
We all have reasons to prove God wrong concerning our lives but they’re all facts and not the truth. What God said is the truth and what you believe about your self may be a fact. God doesn’t work with fact He works with the truth, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free” not the fact setting us free. Gideon have the fact but God was giving him the truth. Accept the truth of God concerning your life.
1. Father, locate me in my human wisdom and reveal the real me to me.
2. Help me overcome every forms of littleness weighing me down.
3. Give me the idea that will liberate me forever in Jesus mighty name.
4. Help me overcome all fact about myself and hold unto your truth about me, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
