TOPIC: STAND OUT 1: Be A Light

Memory Verse: Math. 5:14
“14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

Bible Reading: Math. 5:14-16
“14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a  lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
When you live a society and your absent is not felt you’ve lived below God’s expectation from you. When you are not in a place and people are not asking why you are not around you’ve not lived a fulfilled life yet. No one is created to be a liability in the world. God is not that wicked to create a human and send to the world without a purpose. Everyone is made to be a solution to a problem either known or unknown, you are to stand out everywhere you find yourself.
We are ordained to be salt in this world, to add taste to everyone that comes our way. Anywhere we are, we are to be a light, why light? it exposes darkness. It reveals the hidden secrets. It illuminates and it brightens up.
Romans 8:19,
“19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”
Only those who become the sons of God can be the light of the world, those that are the standing out, for without God we can do nothing, John 15:5. Not knowing God, places us under the yoke of the world, makes us miserable and without purpose. Until we come to the giver of light we will not light the world. To stand out means, to stand with God, to stand on His shoulder, and influence the world positively. The creation; the oppressed of the devil, less privilege, lost soul, need the sons of God to stand out for them also to become a stand out. Are you standing out for God? Are you one of the sons of God that the creation await? Not just being a born again but bringing others to God also. We are the light that can not be hidden, let your light shine that men may see your good works and follow it to God.

TOPIC: GOD, THE PROVIDER 6: RENEW STRENGTH WITH HIS PROVISION

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: 1 Kings 19:3-8.
“3 And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.
4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!”
5 Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.”
6 Then he looked, and  there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again.
7 And the angel of the LORD came back the second time, and touched him, and  said, “Arise and eat, because the journey  is too great for you.”
8 So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the  mountain of God.”
Every provision of God has a target. It’s for a purpose in our lives. God’s provision has different purpose per time per chance. His provision might be for sustenance, for increase in strength, to help meet others needs. The provision of God in the life of David was to save the nation from the Philistines. Joseph, to save his people from famine. Moses, to set his people free from the Egyptian, and many more, that provision has a purpose to fulfill.
This time in Elijah’s life, the provision was to renew His strength, to enable Him for the journey ahead, to keep him on his toe. Elijah felt he has no more power to handle the situation at hand. He fled for His life, left his servant behind and went a day journey. But the Lord came to renew his strength through two different meal, and said “Arise, eat for the journey is too great for you.” This provision was for strength renewer, and it took him forty days and forty night journey to the mountain of God.
When the purpose of God’s provision is not recognise misuse is inevitable. Every provision of God has an assignment in your life and to others. When God provided for the widow of Zarephath it was for the sake of Elijah’s sustenance and she was able to live with it also. Have you recognise the purpose of that provision in your life? Some of us have God’s provision to help God’s servant in ministry, other to help people in their place of work, some to help the less privilege. When you refuse to use the provision rightly, God can never be happy. Discover the purpose of that provision in your life. Not all provision is for your consumption, they have their purposes.

TOPIC: GOD, THE PROVIDER 5: CHANGES CHANNELS OF PROVISION

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: 1 Kings 17:7-9
“7 And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
8 Then the word of the LORD came to him,  saying,
9 “Arise, go to Zarephath, which   belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.”
God, the Provider, can never be dried of means for provision. He has the strategies and He’s so perfect in his acts and ways. Some may see Him wicked because of what they are going through but that is not whom God is. He is a loving and caring Father. The great provider for the whole universe. He changes channels of provision at will, for His children. He never closes His provisions permanently, He will always come with alternatives depending on how we’ve handled the previous provisions.
When the brook dried for Elijah, A man that stands before God, A real child of God, He led him to another channel of provision. God showed Elijah how much He cares for him, and how He, God, can’t watch him go hungry. He led him to the widow of Zarepheth, who barely struggled for surviver.
Many Christians still focusing on the dried brook. Many of us wouldn’t recognise that God is changing our channel, so we stick to the initial channel, hoping our provision is still there. When some loses their jobs or channel of provision, they often see it as the end of the road not knowing the Widow of Zarephath is still available to take good care of them than the brook and the raven. Stop knocking the door that God has locked and ask Him to show you the new channel of provision. God has change that helper of yours, stop fighting him for not helping you again. I pray for someone to understand this message better in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. God changes channel of provision, when it’s your time may you recognise it in Jesus Precious name, Amen.

TOPIC: GOD, THE PROVIDER 4: PROVISION DOESN’T LAST FOR LIFE

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: 1 Kings 17:6-7
6 The  ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook.
7 And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.”
Everything God created has an expiring date. This world has an expiring day. All human have different expiring date. The animals, birds, crippling things all has theirs. Likewise, the wealth and provision of God has an expiring date. Everything God created has this limitation for God can’t be equal with anything or any man He created, and that is why there are different seasons, Eccl. 3:1-8, Gene. 8:22. This is why we have the poor who was once rich and the rich who was once poor. That God blesses you doesn’t mean the provision can’t expire.
The brook dried off and the bird couldn’t bring bread again because the famine was three and half years. The provision of God need to be invested because the dry season of the Lord is still on the way. Whatever provision you are enjoying from the Lord, you need to guide it jealously in other to prolong it’s use. If Elijah had worked on reserving the water, keeping little behind, when the brook dried it would have sustained him, but the reverse was the case, the brook dried and there was no more water for Him to drink.
That surplus you have now, that is wasting may soon dry if you won’t prepare for the dry season. The provision of God over your life can still vanish if you won’t use it wisely and invest it. Joseph invested in the first seven years of surplus and that sustained the whole land of Egypt during the seven years of famine, Gen. 41:33-36. Hope you are using that God’s anointing wisely? Or you think that’s how it will keep rushing? God provided that job so you can invest in order to sustain you during famine. Everything dies/expires, use them wisely before they expires. May God give us wisdom to do this in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

TOPIC: GOD, THE PROVIDER 3: ATTACHED PROVISION TO LOCATION

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: 1 Kings 17:2-5
“2 Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
3 “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.
4 And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the  ravens to feed you there.”
5 So he went and did according to the word of the LORD, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.”
Every provision has a location. God is a specific God. When He gives instructions they are specific and detailed. So, your provision is attached to a specific location, and when you miss the location you miss the provision, may we not miss our provisions in Jesus Mighty Name.
God gave Elijah the specific place for His provision. He was so direct that He gave the name and location to him. He was precise about the instrument that will bring him food at the same location. Elijah never thought of going to other rivers because He had the grace to turn situations around, No, He followed the direction. When you are not present in your place of work you are not entitled to any benefit there.
Where are you? Your location or God’s location for you? Have you change from where He sent you because things are not working? Go to the location He sent you. May be you have followed someone else to their location, change you direction and locate where God placed you. Isaac stayed in Gerar during the famine, and He became great and a wealthy man in the same land. If you will obey God’s instructions you will not lack His provision. Get the details of His instruction and follow suit.
Happy New Month to you all. It Shall be a month of Divine Settlement in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19

Bible Reading: 1 Kings 17:2-5
“2 Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying,

4 And it will be that you shall drink  from the brook, and I have commanded the  ravens to feed you there.”
5 So he went and did according to the word of the LORD, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.”
PROVISION ANSWERS TO INSTRUCTION
When God is about to grant you provision it comes via instructions and when the instructions are given, obedience is the key. Many child of God lost the provision God provided for them via disobedience and fear of taking the steps. Yesterday, I said God will not provide for vision He never ordained.  Likewise, He won’t give instructions on vision He never initiated. When God is involve in that vision of yours He makes everything available via instructions.
He gave instruction to Elijah about his well being. How He will be taken care of. The instruction looks foolish but that was how God wanted to meet the present need. Many instructions from God always seems different. He called Moses, a murderer, to go back to the same Egypt, where he is placed on a wanted list, to deliver message to Pharaoh, Ex. 3:10-11. Jesus instructed His disciples to fill the water pot with water and it became a wine, John 2:4-9. God’s provision is strictly by instructions. Elijah’s needs were met for a long time until He, God, found another instrument of provision.
When you miss the instruction, you miss the provision. When disobey His instructions, you’ve shut the door to provision. Seek after God’s instructions and your provision will be a testimony. Remember, He will not finance a vision He never ordained. Seek for His vision over your life and listen to His instructions. With these, all needs will be met without stress.

TOPIC: GOD, THE PROVIDER 1: FOR HIS CHILDREN.

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

Bible Reading: 1 Kings 17:1-4
“1 And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of  Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the LORD God of Israel  lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be  dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”
2 Then the word of the LORD came to him,  saying,
3 “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.
4 And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
Provision Are Made For The Children.
God is not a waster neither is He careless with His resources. God do releases at will and blesses people but yet He has specific Children that He blesses. He is God and knows where to sow His seeds. He doesn’t sow on the road, in the thorns or on the mountain, He sows His seeds on fertile ground. The provision of God is meant for those who knows Him as a father and carry out His will. Listen God will never provide for a vision He did not give you, He surely provides for His vision.
Elijah was a child of God. He was a Servant of God. He obey and speaks for God with ease. He was known by God and stands for God. After he made God’s mind known to the nation of Israel, God provided for His sustainability ahead of the famine. He made the impossible creature to do the impossibility in its ability, Why? Because God’s son will be in need.” Prophet will need to be fed during the famine. God will always go the extra mile to provide for His children.
Have you been praying for a provision and it seems God’s ear is turned against your request? Search yourself if you are really His child. Any provision that will not honour God can’t be made available. A Raven (small bird) carrying a bread (food) to feed a whole man, only God can make this possible for those He cares for. Do you think He cares for you? I pray for someone this day, that need will be met in Jesus Mighty Name. May you grow to enjoy God’s provision in His wonderful Name, Amen.

TOPIC: OUR GOD’S REQUEST 4: PURITY FROM US

Memory Verse: Gen. 17:1
“1 When Abram was Ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.”

Bible Reading: 1 Thess. 4:1-7
“1 Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to  please God;
2 for you know what commandments we  gave you through the Lord Jesus.
3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality;
4 that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in  sanctification and honor,5 not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God;
6 that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also  forewarned you and testified.
7 For God did not call us  to uncleanness, but in holiness.”
The word corruption has become a slang in our nation. Every situation anchors on corruption. When you talk about politics, it falls on corruption. Talk about getting a  job( employment), it’s down on corruption. Being promoted in offices ends on corruption. Even in God’s house, corruption takes  ground. Everything falls on corruption, this is my point, corruption depicts impurity. When you forget about pleasing God to make yourself happy, it’s impurity. When you bring others down to get to the top, when you practice partiality, favoritism, tribalism, nepotism, it’s a sign that you are not living a life of purity, a holy life requested by God.
We believe we are more holier than those caught in the web of sexual immorality, extramarital affair or the armed robbers but how holy art thou? How righteous are you to your maker? Many sees you and called you holy, are you that holy? Being Holy is not a product of ourselves but surrendering to the Holy Spirit of God. You can be moral but not holy. God want us to be pure and this starts from our heart, Ps 24:3-4
“3 Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.”
What you do in the physical has been rehearsed in your heart. If your heart is pure the thought won’t get through to the action stage. Negative thought can come but a pure heart resist it. How pure in heart are you? Many might not know you in-depthly but you know who you are and what you do. Is God happy with you? You preach about holiness but are you truly holy to God? The way you treat your spouse, taking advantage of others, denying people their entitlement, does it present you holy unto God? God is interested in your turning back. He is waiting for your repentance, it’s not too late. Forsake your old ways and turn to Him today.

TOPIC: OUR GOD’S REQUEST 3: OUR FAITHFULNESS

Memory Verse: Gen. 17:1
“1 When Abram was Ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.”

Bible Reading: Luke 16:10-12
10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the  unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
12 And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?
If there’s anything more  that God is desiring from us, it’s our faithfulness. We being faithful to His word, with our actions and devotion to His service, it’s one of God’s request. Faithfulness to God begins from being faithful to those we see daily. Many thinks they can be faithful to God when they are unfaithful to those they see around, it’s impossible. Your faithfulness to man determines your faithfulness to God. Your faithfulness to God is measured by your faithfulness to everyone around you.
Ananias and Sapphira thought being faithful to God is all about deceiving men, Acts 5:1-11. They thought God is not involved with being faithful to men. They sold their property, deducted some cash from it and presented the remaining to God’s servant, proving to be faithful to God and man. But the Holy Spirit reacted and it led to their death. Faithfulness to God is proved by faithfulness those who come across a ways day. Faithfulness in little things shows how faithful we will be with bigger things. Faithfulness to what men handed over to you determines how faithful you will be when God commits His project into your hands.
How faithful are you to God’s things and Men’s work? God wants your faithfulness in your dealings with all men, that’s one of His request from us. Be willing to be faithful to men and you will end up being faithful to God.

TOPIC: OUR GOD’S REQUEST 3: TO KEEP ASKING

Memory Verse: Gen. 17:1
“1 When Abram was Ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.”

Bible Reading: Luke 18:1-8
“1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,
2 saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.
3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’
4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man,
5 yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ ” 6 Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said.
7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?
8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily.  Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”
When you keep calling someone and he refuses to answer, you get to conclude with the mind set that, he doesn’t want to respond. Now, many things may be responsible for not answering, which ranges from positive reasons to negative reason. But we always tend to be negative about it, believing the person is doing it intentional. Another conclusion is that, the person in question is too proud. Others may say, he is wicked, but few will reason if they’ve hurt or did something to the person in question.
God is not a man that treat us as our sins deserves. When God is silence, He is speaking. It may seems He is late, He is still speaking. He want us to keep asking Him what we desire, to make our needs known to Him. Many times, He wants us to be persistent with our request like the widow did with the judge who has no fear of God or man. Our persistent asking is not a burden to Him, its just a prove of our need of His help.
Math, 7:7
“7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
John 14:12
“12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes  in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and  greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
Psalms 2:8
“8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.”
Jere 33:3
“3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show  you great and mighty things, which you do not  know.’”
If there’s anything God is expecting from us, is to communicate with Him. Ask Him questions and direction. Are you willing to Ask Him about your life? He is expecting your call, dial His number.
