Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 51, Day 7:
Saturday, 24th December, 2022.

TOPIC: HOW DO YOU TREAT YOURSELF? 7: Forgive Yourself.

MEMORY VERSE:
Mark 12:31.
“31. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”

BIBLE READING:
Luke 15:17-19.
“17  “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How  many of my father’s hired servants have bread  enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to  him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,
19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants”
Be soft on yourself when you make mistakes or commit blunders that’s why we are human. No one is perfect we all work towards perfection. Inability to forgive leads to inferiority, it’s make you look down on yourself. Your past mistakes stops you from moving forward, learn to forgive yourself and ask for God’s forgiveness. Learn to know when you’re out of your boundaries, when you took the wrong step and when you’re too proud and forgive yourself. Until you forgive yourself you can’t stand before God to ask for His forgiveness. Personal forgiveness leads to genuine confession.
The prodigal son realized his mistake, he came to his senses, forgive himself and went back to ask for His father’s forgiveness. If Judas had forgiven himself he wouldn’t have committed suicide, His forgiveness would have led him to seek for Jesus forgiveness. Until you free yourself from guilt of your wrongs you might not enjoy that of God. Realise when you take too much steps, withdraw and forgive yourself, before seeking others forgiveness. I pray we’ll be humble to forgive ourselves daily in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Good Morning and God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
