Beloved of God, I welcome you to this New Month of October, our month of Sacrifice. This month our Sacrifices shall yield harvest and produce bountiful fruits by the virtue of being accepted by God.
We kick off with our teachings this week with the first sub-topic, What is Sacrifice? What is it all about? May I let you know that sacrifice is not all about money or resources, but an act of surrendering one’s self or possession as an offering to a deity or for a cause. An act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important and worthy. It’s also an act of foregoing, renouncing, giving up, forfeiting, surrendering ones belongings or right for a specific reason. To sacrifice is beyond the giving of something but the feelings accompany the releasing of one’s right, possession or freedom.
Sacrifice is a two edged sword, there’s a feeling on the part of the giver and a feeling on the part of the receiver. When these two feelings is accomplished, sacrifice is meant to have taken place. May I let you know, sacrifice is not what is seen when an exchange is done but what is unseen. With these little definition, may I ask if you have been sacrificial enough? How sacrificial are you? Can you recognize the sacrifices of others to you? Think on these definition as we continue tomorrow. Your Sacrifice this month will be productive in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Good Day and God bless you.
