TOPIC: WHAT KILLS FAITH? 2: Lack Of Genuine Worship
MEMORY VERSE:
Hebrews 11:1.
“1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 29:13.
“Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:”
The second strength giver of Faith is genuine worship of God.
John 4:23-24
“23. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
Without a heartfelt worship, our faith may degenerates gradually. Our worship of God is not a worship of mouth and lips alone, not worship of dancing and jamboree but of the heart and Spirit filled. When we lack connectivity in the spirit while worshipping, nothing boosts our Faith, no words of wisdom, no revelation neither is there any voice from God. But when our worship is genuine and of the spirit, our faith is energized by the spirit we are connected to. Can I ask you, where is your heart during the worship of God? What runs in your mind while the worship of God is going on? Mind you, worship is not by beat but by the lyrics (words) of the songs you sing. Are you very far in the spirit to God or closer while worshipping? In your closet do you have time for genuine worship of Him?
To increase and grow your Faith in God, work on your worship life, devote more time in adoring God. Let your mouth, lip and heart be connected when you worship God. Stay away from distractive thought and sight, have a connection with God then He increases your Faith.
Good Morning And God Bless You.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
