Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Fakunle Emmanuel Week 52, Day 2,  Monday, 27th December 2021.

TOPIC: HOW AS BEEN THE YEAR? Where Have You Missed It?

Memory Verse: Eccl. 7:8
“The end of a thing  is better than its  beginning; The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.”

Bible Reading: Gen. 28;6-9.
“6 Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Padan Aram to take himself a wife from there, and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, “You shall not take a  wife from the daughters of Canaan,”
7 and that Jacob had obeyed his father and his mother and had gone to Padan Aram.
8 Also Esau saw that  the daughters of Canaan did not please his father Isaac.
9 So Esau went to Ishmael and took Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife in addition to the wives he had.
The end of a thing is always better than the beginning thereof. Most times we made some wrong decisions that cost us lifetime progress. We do things that separate us from our destiny. We need to identify where we got it all wrong. Where have you missed it this year? What have you done this year that need to be redo? What are those steps that affected your life this year? What are those attitude that has dragged you backward? We all need to have a thorough thinking before we can make the next year better than this year. There’s room for amendment if we can face it rightly. If we can think on how we got it wrong we can do it better then.
Esau later discovered that He married from the wrong tribe that His parent were not happy with. He traced his foot steps backward and find a redress on the wrong decision. He was ready to right his wrong decision and he did. Where have we wronged our God, parent, spouse, colleagues or friends this year that has stampeded our progress? We need to identify it and make the necessary correction. I pray this morning, may we all recognise and recover all our loses this year in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
