Category: Your Sight – Your Focus.

“21 Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and became uncovered in his tent. 

22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside….  

24 So Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done to him.”

The Mouth, the Brain are what we’ve seen as some of the sources of our problems, which can also serves as sources of Joy and happiness to us when used wisely. Today, we focus on our Eyes as another source of problem to us which can also be a source of lifting, breakthrough and greater expectation if well used. 

God told Abraham in Genesis 13:14-15, saying,

“14 And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “LIFT YOUR EYES NOW AND LOOK from the place where you are—northward,  southward, eastward, and westward; 

15 for all the land which YOU SEE I give to you and your descendants forever.” So, our eye can also be a source of encouragement and breakthrough to us.

From our Bible Reading today, we saw how Ham’s eye brought generational problem on him by seeing the nakedness of His father, (although not really his fault but his father), nevertheless, this brought him problem till date. His brothers would have done the same but chooses to use their eyes wisely. What you focus your attention on can lead you astray and cause destruction. Greediness, adultery, fornication, lost of the eye and other sins can be traceable to what we see, which becomes our thought until we act on them.

How do you use your eye? Do you see admiration or envy other’s properties? Do you control your focus or you allow your focus to control you? Do you see the good side or the bad side of things? Think on what your focus can bring to you before they lead you into problems of life.
