LESSON 5
WHO DO YOU CRY TO?
“A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying,”
Today, we will be considering where and who we run to in times of help. Who comes to your mind is a product of where you’ve sown your seeds. As a farmer, who will never go to others farm land when it’s harvest time, that is how it should be for every believer in time of challenges. The question is, do you have who to cry to? Do you have a good record with anyone who can be of help in times of trouble? Have you sown seeds that can yield harvest in harvest time? Even God will not harken to people who turned their back on Him after He blesses them.
The widow went to the man whom they’ve sown their seeds into His ministry. A man they’ve served before the death of her husband. And because of their services the Man of God couldn’t turned her down. God instructed him on how to meet the woman’s need.
Can God intervene when you are in need or faced with reproach? Can you speak to God and He will answer you? Yours might be your neighbour, coworker, family, friends, servant of God, church members or your in-laws, who can you cry out to for help? The first person to run to is God whom you most have served and walked with diligently. Prophet Elisha stands as God in the case of this widow. If you can’t find anyone to cry to, please change your attitude. Change your way of life. Begin to affect lives positively ahead of the days of challenges because challenges will surely come but to over come depends on how you’ve sown your seeds.
Do have a wonderful week in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
