Topic: A Dust And The Breath of Life

Memory Verse

Gen. 1:1
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
 Bible Reading: Gen. 3:8-12
8 And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” 11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” 12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”
 Mercy Oh Lord
For the past one month, we’ve been studying the book of Genesis about creation, and I know that God has unfolded His word to as many that has been following the series.
Today, I will like to bring to an end, our study from Genesis. But then, there is a principle I will like us to learn before ending this study, because many of us have fallen victim of it.

When you disappoint God, what do you do? Do you prove your case or you ask for mercy? Do you cast or accept blame? Many times, we cast blame on God for blessing us with what destroyed us; “why do you give me a car when you knew it will destroy me?” Was it God that drove the car? “Why did you lead me to marry the man/woman when you knew it won’t be okay for me?” Was God the pointer to the conflict in your marriage or your character? Adam said, It’s the woman you gave me that gave me the fruit, was the fruit forced on him? Why can’t we face the consequences of our error and ask for His mercy? Can you prove your case against God? How faithful are you to stand before God and prove your innocence?

 Luke 18:11-14
_11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ 13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”_

Adam would have ask for mercy rather than casting blame. Are you still in the school of casting blames? Please, why not bury your pride and start asking for God’s mercy like the task collector? His Mercy supersedes Judgement. Stop proving your point and keep asking for His Mercy in order to enjoy His Grace.

May we have the humility to approach God with a contrite Heart in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

 Have a Great Day.

A Dust And The Breath of Life

Mobile Daily Devotional

Week 4, Day 7
30th January, 2021.
Memory Verse
Gen. 1:1
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
 Bible Reading: Gen. 3:7
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
Aftermath Of Nakedness
May we not loose our rightful position before we realise our mistakes in Jesus Mighty Name. We will not fall into costly mistakes in Jesus Mighty Name.

Many occurrences that can be averted has taken the better part of us. This is the reason, after being a victim of shame, nakedness, people begin to refer to the devil as the cause of all. The aftermath of disobeying God’s word is always terrible. I began to imagine how Adam felt when their eyes were open to know what evil was. They began to cast blame on one another. A peaceful home and garden became a place of blame, regret and rejection.

What is that sin that can take you away from the cover of Grace? What are those things that you desire more than pleasing God? They will only expose your nakedness before men. They are just for a moment but the nakedness is for a life time.

Adam and Eve realises they were just naked, after eating the fruit. It has been God who made them looks glorious all along. Likewise, your beauty, wealth, strength and all those accolades are the grace of God upon you, don’t be carried away before you realise, your nothingness. Is it drug addict, womanizing, adultery, fornication, pride, power or arrogance that is your habit? Kill it before it naked you today.

Don’t be naked before appreciating the covering of God upon your life.

I pray we will not fall from Grace to Grass in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Have a Great Day.
