TOPIC: LESSONS FROM HANNAH

Memory Verse: Heb. 13:8
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

Bible Reading: 1 Sam. 1:6-7
“6 And her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the LORD had closed her womb. 7 So it was, year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, that she provoked her; therefore she wept and did not eat.”
STOP THE MOCKERY
Do you belong to the party of mockers? Are you good in making jest of others weaknesses or challenges? May be gossiping is your hubby? Stop being a mocker. Stop mocking the pain you’ve never been through. Stop laughing at others, yours might be worst.
Peninnah was a wife to Elkanah also. She was blessed with children in the same marriage but felt nothing wrong in mocking her step wife, Hannah. The scripture said, she did these consistently to her year by year till she wept.
One good thing about God is that, He is a rewarder of every seeds sown. Math. 7:12, says, “Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”
Peninnah never knew she was sowing seeds to be reaped later. She mocked Hannah because she had no children, but the Great Rewarder rewarded her also in folds after many years, 1 Sam. 2:5, Hannah said,
“5 Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, And the hungry have ceased  to hunger. Even the barren has borne seven, And she who has many children has become feeble.”
Don’t mock the pain you’ve never experience. Stop defining the situation you don’t understand, rather pray along with them. Hannah mockery came to an end. None of peninnah’s children was ever mentioned in Bible but Samuel became a Major Prophet in the hand of the Lord. Learn from Peninnah’s story, stop the mockery.
Have a Great Day ahead.
