TOPIC: LESSONS FROM THE PRODIGAL SON 3: Resource Waster

Memory Verse: Prov. 14:12.
“12 There is a way  that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.”

Bible Reading: Luke 15:13
“13 … and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.”
There is an adage in Yoruba tongue that, “What you don’t labour for doesn’t last longer in your hands.” Meaning, you tend to waste what you don’t labour for. Every income that are not genuinely acquired always fly away in the hand of a prodigal son. That is why, you always loose what you don’t value or worked for. That was the case of this younger spoilt child. The scripture says, “and there he wasted his possessions with prodigal living.”
May i ask you, how are you living your life, “let’s finish it today another will come tomorrow” is that you? The wealth is too much I don’t even know how to use it? Are you that spouse that waste resource with friends and irrelevant things and forget your spouse and children at home? May be you care about your family so much but neglect your parents and planing to spend Billions of naira at the burial? God is never happy with a waster. When you  abuse what you have, you are a waster. When you refuse to help people with your position and power, you are a waster. When you do unlawful things with that wealth you are a waster. I hope you are not one? It’s not too late if you belong to this circle, you can still turn around by investing in business and human life. If the prodigal son had helped people with his wealth, someone would have remembered and help him up again. Stop being a waster.
Jesus us against waste, in John 6:12, He said,
“So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that  nothing is lost.”
I pray you understand that area that Lord is speaking to you in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Good Morning.
