TOPIC: LESSONS FROM HANNAH
Memory Verse: Heb. 13:8
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”
Bible Reading: 1 Sam. 1:9-11
“9 So Hannah arose after they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh. Now Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the doorpost of the tabernacle of the LORD. 10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish. 11 Then she made a vow and said, “O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.”
MAKING VOW
We’ve talked about
(a) Be Specific About Your Vows.
(b) Be Personal About Your Vows.
Today, we will be focusing on,
(c) Documenting Your Vows
There’s a saying that goes thus, “The faintest pen is sharper than the sharpest Brain”. Whatever you document can’t be forgotten. Many made vows and are willing to pay, but couldn’t remember the specific or the vow itself. When you document your vows, it remain in your brain and a document. If you later forgot, one day you will storm at the document.
God doesn’t joke with our vows, he told Jacob, in Gene. 31:13, to go back to the place he made a vow to Him. We may forget our vows but God won’t forget it. So the best way to fulfill our vows is to document them when we made them because God will always finish his part and men will also need to fulfill their parts, so, document a your vows.
Have a Great Day ahead.
