TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications,  prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: Acts 12:1-5
“1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched  out his hand to harass some from the church. 2  Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3 And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter  also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened  Bread. 4 So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered  him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him  before the people after Passover. 5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.”
INTERCEDE FOR THE CHALLENGED
The truth of the matter is, everyone has a challenge they are faced with presently. No one is without a need, but our needs are more weightier than others. Our challenges are in levels compare to someone else. Life itself is challenging, so, on a daily bases, we have some things to handle. Nevertheless, we can still intercede for others who are faced with more difficult challenges. We can stand in gap for those face with situation we ourselves can’t handle, and through our intercession their situation may receive the touch of God.
Apostle Peter, a servant of God, faced one of the biggest challenge in his ministry days. He was faced with death life and direct. A nights was separating him from death. At that point in time Apostle Peter couldn’t pray any longer, the scripture said, “He was sleeping” (vs 6). He has given up. But the church never gave up. The intercessors never gave up. They interceded on his behalf. They cried to God for his safety, and God send His angel to deliver him.
Prison was the challenge of Apostle Peter, that person’s challenge might be joblessness, childlessness, lack of a partner, sickness or disease. Some might be faced with helplessness, sleeplessness, poverty, and many other circumstances, don’t just look at them or mock them, intercede for them. Cry to God on their behalf. They don’t need to know you are interceding for them just do it wholeheartedly and secretly, when the result come you will be happier than they do.
Note this, the church had their individual challenges also but they understood how small their challenges were compare to that of Apostle Peter. Am not saying you don’t need someone to intercede for you but try and intercede for someone in need of it than you, and the Lord will raise others to intercede for you also.
Heavenly Father, we intercede on behalf of the waiting mothers, jobless, orphans, widows, fatherless and motherless, the needy and the poor, the sick, the less privileges, the outcast and the downcast, the debtors, the singles ready for marriage, the prisoners, we pray you visit them with their individual Miracles In Jesus Mighty Name, that you will turn their calamities around and make them smile again, you will prove to their enemies that you are God worthy to be served in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
