TOPIC: STUDY ON 2 KINGS 4.
Memory verse: 2 Tim. 2:15
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Bible Reading: 2 kings 4:1.
“1 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves”.
DEATH IS INEVITABLE
Beloved, I welcome you to a new week of studying God’s word. This week, we will be digging out some lessons from the book of 2nd Kings chapter 4, and I pray that God will open our eyes and hearts to receive and even see beyond the letters in the chapter in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Our first lesson today is seen from verse one. I want us to always know that, no matter the security, wealth, position, power, title and anointing, we will all die some day. It doesn’t matter how strong you may be, how high or how connected you may be, you can’t escape death. No charm, anointing or secret cults can stop you from dyeing, death will surely come.
One of the late prophet’s wife came to Prophet Elisha, the servant of God, and explain to him that, her husband, who served diligently under Him, died and left her with debts she can’t afford to pay. She explain to the man of God how faithful and committed the man was. But with all this services, he died. This is a man that served God wholeheartedly, yet still died, how much more those who have no time for God and His services? Are you thinking of the day that death will come knocking? What will you be remembered for when the time come? Will life after death speak for your family or speak against your family? No body want to hear about death but it’s a debt we all need to pay.
Take a deep breath; think on the way you are living and the result there after. I pray with you today, when the time come knocking, we will be happy to leave this world with Joy in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Do have a wonderful week in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
