TOPIC: FATHER, LEAD ME BACK TO YOU: Wrong Decision Leads To Wrong Conclusion (3)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 51:11-12
“11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”
“12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 19:4.
“4. But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.”
Thinking Point:
When you’re moving in the wrong path there’s tendency to make wrong conclusion about yourself and life.
This Month of completion shall serve you better concerning those life dreams and visions in Jesus Name, Amen.
As we move on with our study on Prophet Elijah, I want us to know that, no one is immune to loosing focus or being carried away by present situation. Anyone can be drawn away from God by one thing or the other but the most important thing is that, we learn from other’s experience and apply it so we can be restored back before it’s too late. Prophet Elijah’s wrong decision made him think he is not better than his fathers. He concluded that God should end his life forgetting what God has wroth through him in time past. May I ask you, were his fathers better than him? No, because we never heard of his father and the prophets before him didn’t performed the Miracles he did in his days but because he plight the wrong path he made a wrong conclusion about himself.
Brethren, you are not that worse as you’re thinking. Despite walking away from God, you are still special and very much important to Him and His work. Those conclusion about you were made when you left the Lord’s presence and walked with the wrong company. Other people’s conclusion that made you quit your path was a result of leaving your duty post. All you need do is to go back to where you are assigned. Go back to that marriage like the angel told Hagar in Genesis 16:9. Return to that boss or parent of yours like the prodigal son in Luke 15:18. Before you conclude about you life, search if you’re still in God’s plan for your life. In His plan, you have a brighter future, out of His plan ends in wrong conclusion about one’s life. Trace your path back to God, He still have a better plans for you.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: FATHER, LEAD ME BACK TO YOU: Don’t Leave Him/Her Behind (2).

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 51:11-12
“11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”
“12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 19:3
“3. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.”
Thinking Point:
Retain those who can influence your life positively during challenging period.
Every uncompleted project of your life, this month, God will perfect them and give you peace of mind in Jesus name, Amen.
Yesterday we saw how Elijah fled Samaria for the fear of Jezebel’s threat. He forgot the God that was with him and ran for his life. Where was the authority he has? He forgot about it and escaped for his life, may we not run and leave God behind in Jesus name, Amen. Today, I want to also encourage us that, no matter the situations around us, no matter the voices threatening us, both physical and spiritual, retain those who will always remind you of who you are, those who can remind you of the ability you possess, people that can encourage and lift your spirit up. Elijah ran from Samaria, got to Beersheba in Judah and left “His servant” who would have reminded him that Jezebel was just a woman who can’t stand against his God. He deceived his servant to wait for him and then continued his journey to an unknown destination.
Many of us think that our spouse, children, parents or old friends is the reason why we’re going through those situations whereby we are not ready to face our fears. If you will loose anyone, don’t let it be those who knows your ability or what you’re capable of. Those who can revive your Spirit from weariness, don’t let go of such persons, that servant of yours can be the instrument to rekindle that fire in you. Identify who to do away with in challenging time and retain those who will always encourage you. Elijah would have been restored back to God before going too far. It’s time to reach out to those who know you better, don’t let go of them no matter the challenge around your life.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: FATHER, LEAD ME BACK TO YOU: Stop Belittling God.

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 51:11-12
“11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”
“12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 19:1-3
“1. And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.”
“2. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.”
“3. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.”
Thinking Point:
Our walk with God should be intimate and consistent not partial (only when we need Him).
Every voice around your life, sending you away from your rightful position, by the power in the name of Jesus, such voice seize from now in Jesus Name, Amen.
I welcome you to these new series in Jesus name. We shall be taking some lessons from the life of the man that stood with God and we will be applying them to our lives and I pray that the eyes of our understanding be enlightened to behold what the Lord is revealing to us in Jesus name, Amen.
In the last chapter, Chapter 18, Elijah was able to end the lives of 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of the groves who feed under Jezebel, the queen of Ahab. In our chapter when Jezebel heard of what Elijah did, she sent a messenger to him with this words, “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.” and after the message, Elijah fled from Samaria and ran for his life. If I may ask, why was he running? Where was he going? The answer is very simple, Elijah was afraid of Jezebel. Was jezebel stronger than him? No. Was Elijah still anointed? Yes. Then ‘why was he running?’ He responded to stimulus, Fear of Jezebel neutralized the power of the anointing in him at that moment.
Brethren, how often do we run from what is not up to us? How often are we afraid of situations under our control? How often do we give in to fear of the unknown and limiting the God inside of us? Most times we finish prayers and fasting and still go around with the fear of what we have prayed against. We belittle the God inside of us because of threat? Elijah would say, “Before the God whom I stand” where was that God at that moment? He was there but Elijah turned away from Him and fled. Stop rating the situation above the power of God. The ten spices said in Numbers 13:33,
“33. … and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.”
You are more powerful than that threat, just turn to God and hand over the situation and see what the Lord will do. Face the threat, decree what God says about you and what you will do to the threat. Let there be a holy anger from the angle of God because He is with you. Stop belittling God.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 22 Day (7) Saturday, 1st June 2024 TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: Obedient To God Is Better Than Sacrifice (14)

TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: Obedient To God Is Better Than Sacrifice (14)

MEMORY VERSE:
Hebrews 13:15-16.
“15. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
“16. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Samuel 15:22.
“22. And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.”
Thinking Point:
Above Sacrifice Is Obedient. No amount of Sacrifice can take the place of Obeying God, Always Listen To His Instructions.
Happy New Month. Welcome To the month of June, it shall be our month of Completion in Jesus Name, Amen.
The last thing to know about Sacrifice is that, Our Sacrifice can’t take the place of obedience to God’s instructions. Every sacrifice should be according to God’s instructions. You can’t be a disobedient child to God and offer Him sacrifice, it can’t be acceptable. God’s instructions can’t be bribed out or replaced with sacrifice, No. God frowns at stealing, cheating and killing, etc if that is your habit, your sacrifice can’t entice Him. If you are that spouse known for frustrating your partner, your sacrifices can’t be a sweet aroma to God, it’s a waste of resources. When you use your body, mouth and your life in a displeasing manner your offering, tithe, dance, singing, even giving of any type is a waste, it can’t replace being obedient to His principles and ways. Where do you belong this morning?
King Saul was sent to destroy the Amalekite including human and animal but he chose to keep the fat and robust flocks claiming they are for sacrifice to God. God doesn’t care about sacrifice like obeying His word. He wants sacrifice but He also wants us to obey His words first. When God demands a sacrifice from you and you replace it with something else, that is disobedience not sacrifice. When your sacrifice is made to impress people, it’s disobedience not sacrifice anymore, Matthews 6:1-4. The sacrifice of Saul became a reproach to God that he sent Prophet Samuel to him immediately. How can you sacrifice an animal that God has marked for destruction? Are we not doing the same? Are we not depriving others of their earnings and still pay the tithe and bring special offerings to God? Brethren, it’s time to know what God wants from us and give it to Him. To be obedient is better than thousands of sacrifices. What you give Him is not as important as what He requested of you. “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.”

TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: Every Genuine Sacrifice Has It Reward (13)

Genesis 8:20-21.
“20. And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.”
“21. And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.”
Thinking Point:
God rewards Genuine Sacrifice even with generational blessings.
Every hindrance to the rewards of your sacrifice, by the mercy of God, they will be cleared away in Jesus name, Amen.
Our God is not evil neither is He forgetful to enjoy our sacrifices without repaying us. When a meal is served and the taste satisfies the eater, blessings are pronounced upon the chef. Likewise, when God is pleased with our sacrifice He pronounces blessings according. In the case of King Solomon, God asked him what he desired after thousands of burnt offerings, 1 Kings 3:3-13. In the case of Noah, He pronounced a generational blessing that is active till date, not to destroy the whole world with flood again, Genesis 8: 20-22. When Elijah made a sacrifice pleasing to God, He came and lighted it up himself to prove His supremacy, 1 Kings 18:1-end. Abraham’s sacrifice revealed what was about to happen in the next four hundred years, Genesis 15:8-17. The sacrifice that pleases the Lord comes with blessings.
In the new testament, the sacrifice of blood was long outdated, most sacrifices were presented in currencies, food and grain to individuals and ministers . That was why Jesus said in Luke 6:38,
“38. Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
Every giving to men, minister of God, the needy, the poor even the well to do person (as led by God) are all sacrificed to God and none of them will go on rewarded. Service to God is a sacrifice, stewardship, kingdom service, financing projects, your offering, tithe, gifts are all sacrificed to God. It may be received by men but the intent of your heart defines who your seeds belong to, and when it’s directed to God the reward is coming speedily. It may not come in currency or gifts, but God will never deny you the reward of a genuine sacrifice. There’s a reward for your commitment, sacrifice, and seeds, God will surely bring them to pass and it will be a generational blessing in Jesus name, Amen.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 22 Day (5) Thursday 30th May 2024 TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: Make God The Focus Not Man (12)

TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: Make God The Focus Not Man (12)

MEMORY VERSE:
Hebrews 13:15-16.
“15. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
“16. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

BIBLE READING:
Acts 5:1-3
“1. But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,”
“2. And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.”
“3. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?”
Thinking Point:
Every sacrifice should be seen as being presented to God not the man receiving it (he/she is just a medium).
Today, I pray for you that while presenting your sacrifice, may you not be distracted in Jesus Name, Amen.
There is a cry going across the world presently which is ‘the focus on giving by believers’. Many sees it as a form of making God’s servant rich and accumulate wealth. Many speaks against tithe, gift or sacrifices which has caused a lot of division, even between the so called Men of God. The focus shouldn’t be on the man of God but on God. Believers who knows what they are doing will never deter from following the scriptures to the latter. They will not be distracted by what people say about becoming wealthy. This is that fact, God doesn’t welcome sacrifice of blood of animal again but that doesn’t mean no more sacrifice. In old testament those who receive the burnt sacrifice are men of God and for every sacrifice brought to the temple, the priest and the Levites have their share from it. In this dispensation, every sacrifice is presented at the altar and those who work at the altar benefits from it because God is their portion. When you present your sacrifice to the Lord, let your focus be on God not the man serving at the altar because this is where the distraction comes in.
God doesn’t spend money neither does he eat anything presented to Him. It’s the portion of His servants, so when the focus of your sacrifice is on the servant of God, that’s where it end. Sacrifice is not to please men but to please God. Ananias and sapphire’s focus were on the Apostle and not God. Their sacrifice was to gain what people will say about them and not to please God, I pray for someone today, your sacrifices will not work against you in Jesus Name, Amen. When you go with your sacrifice, make God the focus, stop expecting the praise of the men or other members who saw your sacrifice. You are giving to God through His servant not giving to God’s servants. Keep this in mind, your sacrifice is to God through God’s servant and not directly to God’s servant. Make God the focus not the man at the altar.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 22 Day (4) Wednesday 29th May 2024 TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: You Must Give Your Best. (11)

TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: You Must Give Your Best. (11)

John 12:3-5.
“3. Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.”
“4. Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him,”
“5. Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?”
Thinking Point:
Our sacrifice should move God, not by quantity but the quality.
May our sacrifice find its way to the presence of God in Jesus name, Amen.
The third thing to know about sacrifice is that, it should be our best not just any sacrifice. God is the best of all best, He is equal to none so, we can’t just give Him our left over or option B. Remember the widow with two coin, it wasn’t the quantity but the quality of her offering, Jesus said, “All She had”, Like 21:1-4. This speaks volumes about the heart. We might not drop all that we have physically, but the state of our heart can present us as completely dropping all (before God).So let it worth giving to God.
When Hannah was presenting her vow, she made a dangerous vow, “I will give him back to you” without having another child? That sacrifice prompted God to give her other children, 1st Samuel 2:20-21. When your sacrifice is the best of the moment, God receive and reward it, it will never be a waste. Don’t stop making sacrifices just always make it the best at the moment. God isn’t after quantity but quality sacrifice. The widow gave all she could afford and that was what she had on her, and Jesus said she gave the best. ₦1,000 or $1 dollar could be your sacrifice, you don’t need to run into debt to make your sacrifice. You don’t need to be dubious to please God, just present to Him a simple and quality sacrifice, and you will receive His blessing upon you. He’s more concern in quality than quantity.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 22 Day (2) Tuesday, 28th May, 2024 TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: Give Him When He does Mighty Things (10)

TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: Give Him When He does Mighty Things (10)

Exodus 15:9-12.
“9. The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.”
“10. Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.”
“11. Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?”
“12. Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.”
Thinking Point:
Sacrifice becomes unavoidable when the Hand of God is revealed in our situations.
Reasons for genuine and willing sacrifice shall not seize in our lives within the remaining days of this month, in Jesus name, Amen.
Yesterday, we talked on the first thing to know about sacrifice and we said, it should be given without demand. Today, sacrifice to God is paramount when the Lord revealed Himself in our situation. We often make mistake by celebrating our achievements before giving God His sacrifice, that is if we even give Him the sacrifice at all. For every breakthrough in life God deserves the sacrifice of praise first, not the vessel he used. When the children of Israel crossed the red sea, they made sacrifice to God not Moses or the elders or the rod of Moses but to God the maker of way (even in the red sea.) They sang songs which Mariam led the procession. They told God “No one is like you in your act”, do we do the same?
When Solomon became the King of Israel, he made sacrifice of thanksgiving to God. He never deserved to be the king of Israel but it came to pass and he recognised it as the act of God so therefore, He gave God sacrifice of thousands of sheep. When God does the extra ordinary, He expects us to bring Him the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Remember, sacrifice of praise can be individual praising God with his/her body, resources or something we can let go for God. So, another thing to know about Sacrifice is that, every act of God towards us deserves our sacrifice which shows Him we are grateful for the victory.

TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: Give despite Him not Requesting (9)

2 Chronicles 20:21(NLT)
21 After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the lord and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang: “Give thanks to the lord; his faithful love endures forever!”
Thinking Point:
If there’s anything God loves to receive from us without His request is giving Him our Sacrifices.
This week, the needed strength, help, favour and grace for the task ahead is made available in Jesus Name, Amen.
What we need to know about Sacrifice as believers, Number one is
that, God appreciate Sacrifice without His request. When we decided to make sacrifice to God for no reason, He is always please to receive and release what we desire. Many atimes, we give God our sacrifice because of the victory we enjoyed, or some needs are met or for rescuing us from the hands of our enemies, it’s good to do this, but let there be times when you decided to give God sacrifice when the situation doesn’t warrantee it.
Jehosaphat was faced with the vast of armies of Moab, Amorite and Edom. They knew they can’t handle the situation. Then God spoke through His servant, prophet Isaiah, that, they should go against the host of the enemies the next morning. But in the midst of this confusion, Jehoshaphat chose song ministers to sing before the battle without any weapon of war with them. God never gave the instruction but they chose to make the sacrifice in the face of battle and God moved against their enemies. If there is anytime to sacrifice to God it’s when the situation isn’t palatable, when God’s voice is not even heard, give Him sacrifices of praise. When the enemy is standing in front of you, give God your sacrifice and see Him move on your behalf. Don’t wait for God to request for sacrifice before giving Him.

TOPIC: SACRIFICE: Examples Of Sacrifice: Your Service (8)

MEMORY VERSE:
Hebrews 13:15-16.
“15. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
“16. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

BIBLE READING:
Romans 12:6-8.
“6. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;”
“7. Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;”
“8. Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.”
Thinking Point:
You aren’t gifted for self pleasure alone, your gifts should be a sacrifice to God.
Beloved, I welcome you to a new week. As you appear in Zion today, your sacrifices shall attract God and open every door shut against you in Jesus name, Amen.
Today, we shall be discussing the last form of sacrifice we can offer to God. No man or woman is created empty, God endowed all with special gifts and talent in and out of the church. I am confident of this, you have something special that makes you different from others. This uniqueness is a form of sacrifice to God, either in your office, home, church, ministry and environment, your talent/gift is a form of sacrifice to God, how are you using it?
Apostle Paul was speaking to the Corinthians about the use of their gifts as a sacrifice to God. He admonitions all to use their gift diligently to serve men in order to be a sacrifice to God. When you have the gifts, either spiritual or Physical, and God is not glorified through it, it’s not a sacrifice. When your talents benefits you and doesn’t benefit God, it isn’t a sacrifice. Even in your office, your position should be a sacrifice to God who placed you there. In your marriage see your position as a sacrifice to God and not to your spouse. Everything we do with our lives is a sacrifice but to who do you make your sacrifice, yourself or God? Sacrifice is not just in the church but everywhere we find ourselves. How will your sacrifice be today, will it be acceptable to God? Let your sacrifice be the one that attracts God into your life.
