TOPIC: TEACHINGS ON GIVING – Giving To Your Helpers (11)

MEMORY VERSE:
Acts 20:35.
“35. …, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 41:9, 14
“9. Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:
14. Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.”
No one gets to where they are without the help of someone. Every man or woman made today was helped by someone to the top. If God will help you, He will send someone, yes. Those helpers also need your gift without requesting it. Showing appreciation after getting to the top shouldn’t be the end of giving to our helpers. They also have a need you can attend to. God didn’t send people to help you so you can leave them where they are, no He assigned them to help you so you can attend to a need in their lives also.
The butler was helped by Joseph to ease his stress about his dream. When it was time for Joseph to be freed, the Butler spoke about Him. You have something to give to the lives of those who have helped you in the time being. Think, remember them like the butler did, search for them and gift them what you can to put a smile on their faces. It’s not just an appreciation but a giving to also affect their lives. Be the butler who remembered Joseph after some years and give a gift to your helpers.
Good Day and God bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: TEACHINGS ON GIVING – Giving To Colleagues (10)

MEMORY VERSE:
Acts 20:35.
“35. …, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

BIBLE READING:
Ecclesiastes 11:1-2.
“1. Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.
2. Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.”
Most times God leads us to give to people we feel are okay and never need our help. People who looks better and richer than we do in appearance (but we are more better than they do). Talking about giving to our colleagues in our places of works may sound absurd but there is what God want to achieve with this. Their payroll may be more than yours, they may look wealthier than you do. Some may even be your antagonist in your office and God is leading you to give them a gift, it’s not the devil, it’s God’s voice harken to the Voice and be a blessing.
King Solomon, from our Bible reading, categorize all human as WATERS to release our bread to. Their should be no segregation to who to give a gifts. There should be no limitations to why we shouldn’t give our bread to our colleagues and friends. Most time God leads us to give, it is to unlock what He, (God), have in-stock for us through the declaration of who we are giving our gifts. It doesn’t matter if your colleague was your antagonist to your boss, if God has directed your mind to what He lacks and you have it, release it and let God have His way. Stop doubting whom God is leading you to give gifts. If God shows you, He has a purpose. Your colleague is not your enemy to your progress, carry out the duty God is sending you to them.
Good Day and God bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: TEACHINGS ON GIVING – Giving To those in Need (9)

MEMORY VERSE:
Acts 20:35.
“35. …, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

BIBLE READING:
Matthew 25:34-36.
“34. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35. For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36. Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Am glad to let you know this, no matter how righteous we are or may be, without giving we are not complete in God. Everything God did for us was founded on Giving, without giving we are not obedient to God’s command. Giving is what builds us, links us and bring impact on one another. When we withhold from giving to others we are more or less closing the gate of heaven against ourselves.
Jesus speaking to Believers in our Bible reading said, “You gave me, You took me in, You clothed me, you visited me.” These are all “Givings” in different level. When we talked about giving, it’s not just about money but attitude and helping others. No one lacks what to give.
Galatians 6:9.
“9. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
All Giving has reward and it’s seasonal. Reach out to that family, that neighbor, that friends who is need of that gift of yours. Learn to give, it’s part of God’s command and entering ticket to God’s kingdom.
Good Day and God bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: TEACHINGS ON GIVING – Giving To Believers (8)

MEMORY VERSE:
Acts 20:35.
“35. …, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

BIBLE READING:
Galatians 6:9-10.
“6. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
7. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, ESPECIALLY UNTO THEM WHO ARE OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH.
Apostle Paul speaking of doing good to others and He was specific of those to consider as priority which are, The Believers, the same Household of Faith. It’s a shame to be good outside but wicked in the household of Faith. Most times we prefer to give gifts to those outside our faith, it’s not wrong but there are people to consider First.
In Acts 4:34-35,
“34. Neither was there any among them that lack, for as many as possessed lands or houses, sold them and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35. And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.”
These the believers did in those days, they brought what they have, what they could give out, and it was distributed to the needy. Most times we look down on those who are the less privileged in our worship places, still take our gifts to those who have nothing to do with God. Many of our gifts falls to the ground where they can’t grow. GIVING of gifts to people of the same faith is more paramount to grow our faith. It encourages and build other’s faith. It’s an answer of prayers to many in our folds. Giving is more powerful when you give to those have nothing to give back in return. Check your household of Faith and give gifts to those who really need them, including the actives ones in God’s work.
Good Day and God bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: TEACHINGS ON GIVING – Giving To God’s Servants (7)

MEMORY VERSE:
Acts 20:35.
“35. …, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

BIBLE READING:
Matthew 10:41
“10. He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.”
Today, we are discussing about Giving to Men of God. I know many will say, “They have enough” but it was also given to them by someone like me and you, and do you know what, those givers are receiving the blessing. Ministers of God deserves gift in and out of season. They are a link and a representative of God to us. They close the bridge between us and God. They intercede for us even when we’re not aware, in a nutshell, they are our coverage through God.
Giving to ministers is showing gratitude to God not to man. Ministers have needs and responsibilities too. They have dependant and expectations. Yes, they are being paid by their churches, but very minimal to their responsibility. The Lord would have directed Elijah to the synagogue and not to the widow. Elisha would have be taken care of by the ministry of prophets but the shunamite did. When we give to ministers, it attract unspeakable blessings of God. Aside the tithe and offering, which are called for by God, showing gratitude of gifts of cloth, shoes, cars, house rent, children’s fee and many more sweetens their heart as much as God. God can’t take away His eye from our gifts to them. They also have needs, give to Ministers of God, not just your church Pastors, even in other Ministries as God lays it in your heart. Be a blessing to God’s servant and you will be rewarded by God.
Good Day and God bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Week 32, Day 6:
Friday, 11th August 2023.

TOPIC : TEACHINGS ON GIVING: Giving To Parent (6)

MEMORY VERSE:
Acts 20:35.
“35. …, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

BIBLE READING:
Ephesians 6:1-3.
“1. Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
3. That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.”
Our focus today is Giving To Parent, not as duty but as a blessing. Giving to parent is more blessed than other givings because God recommended it with a blessing. As parent, their focus was to bring up a child in the way of the Lord and prepare them for a better future so that these children can reciprocate this gesture when they are grown and the parent are retired so to say.
According to King Solomon in Psalms 127:3-5, children are the hope of parents at old age. They are to stand the gap between their parents and their enemies, these are our responsibility, but aside these, we are to make them happy by presenting to them special gifts, buying them things that reduces stress and brings conveniences- exercise equipment and domestic aid machines can go a long way.
Most excuses we make are,
1. Let me be rich enough before buying them what I desire. It might be too late, give what you have when you have it.
2. They don’t ask for it. Likewise Your spouse doesn’t ask for everything before you gift them.
3. They have everything. That’s not true, check around you’ll find what they lack and need.
4. They have no time for pleasure. Buy them new cloths, dress them up and take them out, they’ve been waiting for it.
Most time, they need our time, just sitting with them and having good time is part of the gifts we can give. Giving to parents makes God releases His blessing on us.
Good Day and God bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC : TEACHINGS ON GIVING: Giving To God (4)

MEMORY VERSE:
Acts 20:35.
“35. I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

BIBLE READING:
Psalms 29:1-2.
“1. Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
2. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”
6. Giving Thanks To God.
What is Thanks Giving? This is an attitude of appreciation to God. Returning gratitude to God for all His doings for one. When one shows gratitude for what he or she has received, that is Thanks Giving. That we are alive we need to be thankful. For protection, preservation, substance, increase, blessings and favour received, we are to give God thanks.
Psalms 136:1-3.
“1. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2. O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
3. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
We are to also give thanks in all circumstances, not only when things are good. When we don’t understand the situations around us, we still need to give God thanks, the Bible says in,
1 Thessalonians 5:18.
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
God deserves our thanks without any complain. We are indebted to Him for the life we live. God is expecting our Thanks giving always. Give it to Him, no one else deserve it.
Good Day and God bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC : TEACHINGS ON GIVING: Giving To God (2)

MEMORY VERSE:
Acts 20:35.
“35. I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

BIBLE READING:
Psalms 29:1-2.
“1. Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
2. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”
As we continue on our Topic, Giving To God, we shall be studying more areas we can give to God.
3. Finances/Sacrifice.
No matter how rich we are, it’s by the blessings of God not by man’s effort.
Deuteronomy 8:18.
“18. But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
1 Kings 3:4.
“4. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.”
God is the giver of wealth not our strength, so give unto God what is due tó Him. Give your Tithe, Offering, Vow, Sacrifices to Him from the resources He blesses you with. He is still the owner of you and the wealth.
4. Our Time.
Our time is to bring glory to Him. Not specifically dedicating a time but in our endeavours creating time to do His will and speak to others about Him.
Good Day and God bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Welcome to this week devotional, with the Topic, Teachings On Giving. We shall be studying Who to give, What to give, When to give and the rewards attached to Giving. Today, we are starting with “Giving To God (Part 1)”. God is the first and only immortal being that deserves to receive from us without complaining. Before we had, He gave us the life in us. Without life nothing is achievable through us. He gave us His only Son as our Saviour, He was killed that we may live and be free from sin. What can we give to reciprocate His sacrifices for us;
1. Our Life:
He owns it from the onset. We are living for Him, so we should give Him our lives according to John 3:5-7.
“5. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Our lives belongs to Him to do as He wishes.
2. Our Resources.
John Speaking In John 3:27, saying,
“John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.”
Apostle Paul said, 1 Corinth. 4:7
“7. For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?”
Those things you think you have all belongs to Him. Give it to Him, for He never withhold them from you.
To be continued tomorrow…
Good Day and God bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Week 31, Day 7:
Saturday, 5th August 2023.

TOPIC : Psalms 23: Confidence Assurance of Safety (7).

MEMORY VERSE:
John 10:11.
“11. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

BIBLE READING:
Psalms 23:6
“6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
These last part of Psalms 23 has been the chorus of all believers worldwide, declaring the summary of those whose Shepherd is Jesus Christ. Goodness and Mercy is of the Lord not of any Man. God alone is able to give this to whosoever He desire to release it to. The shepherd made all these possible for the sheep who listens to His voice, abides by his instructions and relies on him. Any sheep that forsakes the shepherd is prone to the opposite of these until he gets back to the fold.
“All the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
The shepherd determines the safety of the flock. May I let you know today that Jesus is the only Good Shepherd who can guarantee you complete safety. Goodness, Mercy and Safety for the rest of someone’s life can only be found in Jesus Christ. When you accept Him as your Lord and Saviour, He becomes your shepherd for the rest of your life. In Him alone is our completeness found. Do you have the Good Shepherd Jesus in your life? It’s time to decide and make things right with your maker.
Good Day and God bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
