Week 8, Day 6:
Friday, 16th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – DISTRACTION (13)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
Matthew 14:3-5.
“3. For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife.
4. For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.
5. And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.”
May the good Lord grant us the wisdom to overcome the tricks of the devil against our lives in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
So far this week, we have studied some numbers of Call killers as ministers and servants of God. We started with; Comparism, Imitation, Love for Money, and Pride. Today we will be adding DISTRACTION to the killers of call. What do I mean, there is a saying that, “To Distract A Man From His Vision, Give Him A Vision That Looks Like His Vision”. Distraction from one’s calling will make such kill his calling. When you are called to be a servant and you started desiring taking over from your master, that is distraction. The focus has shifted from what you are supposed to do, to what doesn’t involve you.
John the Baptist wasn’t called to warn the king of marrying his brother’s wife but to proclaim the coming of Jesus Christ. Your protection lies under your calling. When you move out of your calling, you are out of the secret place of the most high. John the Baptist was locked up and beheaded because he was distracted, Matthew 14:1-10. Our safety is guarantee in our calling. Demas was distracted by the things of the world and he lost his place in God’s kingdom, 1 Timothy 4:10. Samson was distracted by women until he lost his childhood Nazarite, Judges 16:1. Watch out! What is distracting you from your God’s calling? Fetch it out and do away with it. Is it women/man, money, position, power, fame, wealthy or pride, do away with it for you to fulfil your calling. Remember what Jesus said in Luke 9:62,
“62. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
We will not look back in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 8, Day 5: Thursday, 15th February, 2024 TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – PRIDE (12)

Week 8, Day 5:
Thursday, 15th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – PRIDE (12)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 15:10
“10. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God, and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us forever more, Amen.
This morning, I declare, we will not fail in our calling, killers of call will not overcome us in Jesus mighty name, Amen. We will be checking another killer today which is “PRIDE”. This is another deadly killer of calling. If there’s any attitude God disliked it is Pride. The scripture says in James 4:6.
“6. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God Resisteth The Proud, But Giveth Grace Unto The Humble.”
God resist any man with this attitude no matter one’s height. Nebuchadnezzar, was called the deputy of God but when pride sets in, God dethroned him, Daniel 2. No matter who and where you are before God, pride will bring such person down, I pray we will not experience this in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Tame that pride today, we are who we are by the Grace of God which located and qualified us. We are nothing without His calling. The call is the reason for the grace that brought you where you are. To avoid disgrace and termination of your calling, kill pride before it penetrate your life. You are not the healer, you’re just an instrument through which God works, so stop claiming God’s glory. Humble yourself before the Lord so He can honour you.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 8, Day 4: Wednesday, 14th February, 2024 TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – LOVE FOR MONEY (11)

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 8, Day 4:
Wednesday, 14th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – LOVE FOR MONEY (11)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
1 Timothy 6:10.
“10. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Today, the Mercy of God shall be accessable to us in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Killers of Call, we check another killer fighting every called servant of God which is the “Love Of Money” or Money oriented. It’s true that every labourer is worthy of his wages but not at the detriment of our calling. Mind you, we are talking about the “Love of Money” not “Money” itself, meaning, our attitude with money, how we view or submit to money. In ministry and other calling, money is paramount, King Solomon called it a defence, yes but when the love of money is more than the love for God and the soul we are to bless, it’s becomes a killer disease, a weapon against our calling.
No matter the area you are called in to, when money controls what you do, your call has been tampered with. Many ministers today enthrone the rich in positions like; Elder, Deacon, Deaconess and won’t be able to speak the truth anymore because they are afraid of their next meal from the wealthy leaders. Love of money has taken many out of their calling like Demas 1 Timothy 4:10. We need to make Jesus the author and finisher of our faith not money. Gehaze, in 2 Kings 5:20-27, would have been the next Elisha but the love of money and other things denied him his place. I pray this morning, the Grace to overcome temptations of money and the rest be available to us all in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Love your calling beyond money.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 8, Day 3:
Tuesday, 13th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – IMITATION (10)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
Acts 19:13-16.
“13.Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16. And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
This day shall be good to us, it shall bring us blessings not curse, and exemption from negativities in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Welcome to the continuation of “Killers of Call”. Another attitude that kills the Call of God is “Imitation”. Imitating others, using others as yardstick to know what to do. Let’s be clear about this, learning from others is totally different from imitating or copying others. When you imitate others, you’re forcing yourself to do what you’re not called to do. This was the case of Ananias and Sapphire in Acts Chapter five (5). They were trying to imitate the likes of Joses called, the Barnabas, who sold his property and gave it to the Apostle, but they weren’t called to do that so they ended up loosing their lives.
The Seven sons of sceva is another example of imitation. They were sons of a Jew and a chief priest. They imitated what they are not called to do, what they aren’t endowed for, so, the spirit enquired of them, who are you? When you imitate other’s calling, you will be questioned by the powers in charge of those areas.
The apostle said in, 1 Corinthians 11:1,
“1. And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.”
We are called to imitate those who imitate Christ according to our calling. When you are not endowed to heal, face what you’re endowed to do. Imitation is the reason for inferiority. Your call isn’t inferior to others, imitate Christ not others.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 8, Day 2:
Monday, 12th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – COMPARISON (9)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
2 Corinthians 10:12-13
“12. For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
13. But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
This week, the Lord will lead your path, guide you to succeed, and give you new height to scale through in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
The call of God has been our focus since last week and we shall be diving into “Killers Of Call”. For every assignment there are “Dos and Don’ts” which is what we are about to dig into. The first of it is “Comparison”, comparing ourselves with others in the same calling. Most times we see those we started together or even before making wave and flourishing in the same calling and begin to compared ourselves with them, comparison is a killer of call. We all have starting time, training time, manifestation time and finishing time but our seasons differs from one another even in the same call.
Apostle Paul said we should not be like them that compare themselves with themselves. We need to wait on God and listen to His instructions. Our calls may be the same but our timing differs. That they shine ahead of you doesn’t means God didn’t call you into that area. Stop comparing your call with others, focus on working out your calling with trembling and fear in order not to miss your caller. Only compare where you are to where you should have been, that is success. Someone says, success is comparing what you have done with what you should have done. Locate the difference and tackle it. Men didn’t call you so stop the comparism with men. We will not fail God in our calling in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Good Day and God bless you.

Week 7, Day 1:
Sunday, 11th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Calls Has Hierarchy  (8)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
Matthew 25:20-21,28
“20. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
28. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.”
Happy Sunday to you all. As we appear in His presence today, fullness of Joy shall be ours in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
For a week now we’ve been studying about the diversity of Calls. We’ve been made to know that, not all calls ends on the pulpit. We are called into different career to make the Gospel known to the world. Today, I will like to let us know that, “The Call of God Expands, it spreads, or let me put it this way, it increases and It’s hierarchy. Your success, faithfulness, diligence and loyalty in that area of your calling can bring you promotion into other areas. The heart to finance missionaries may promote you to become an Evangelist. That heart of Servant may promote you to be a Pastor. The success in your career-calling may promote you to be a teacher, because everything one does in life, faithfully, increases. When God finds you committed He engages you the more, that’s why great men of God keep growing till they become greater.
The servant with Five (5) talent made extra five (5) talent profit, and his Lord was excited, so He collected the one (1) talent of the unfaithful servant and added it to the servant with five (5) talent, then he has eleven (11) talents to start with again, that’s a promotion. That extra talent comes with another gift, may be gift of healing, miracle, more grace to fill up the kingdom of God and many more. We will be promoted in Jesus name, our result will gladen the heart of God for a greater works in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. May I ask you and myself this morning, How faithful are we with our call? Are we hiding it or functioning with it?
Good Day and God bless you.

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
25 “You must serve only the lord your God. If you do, I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness.

BIBLE READING:
Daniel 2:47-49
47 The king said to Daniel, “Truly, your God is the greatest of gods, the Lord over kings, a revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this secret.”
48 Then the king appointed Daniel to a high position and gave him many valuable gifts. He made Daniel ruler over the whole province of Babylon, as well as chief over all his wise men.
49 At Daniel’s request, the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be in charge of all the affairs of the province of Babylon, while Daniel remained in the king’s court.
Welcome to another weekend with God’s grace flowing within us in Jesus wonderful name, Amen.
In our generation, it has been seen as a taboo for a Christian to be in politics. We often criticize believers who run for a political office not knowing that some believers are also called into political offices. Politics is a ‘calling’ to many christians but “what will people say” has killed this call in Christianity. We always believe ‘calling’ is for the altar and not to politics which is not so.
Daniel rose to a political post with four different kings in his days at Babylon. At his request, his friends were also brought into power.
In the next chapter, the bible said,
30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to even higher positions in the province of Babylon. Daniel 3:30.
Some Christians are called to politics, to reign and rule the nation. Solomon said, In Proverbs 29:2.
“2. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
When the called believer mount the politics arena God is in control, so therefore politics is also a call to some believers who are prepared for the task ahead of them. There should no more be criticism. That you can’t go for it doesn’t stop those that are called to do it. Politics is also a calling.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 6, Day 6:
Friday, 9th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Your Possession, Your Calling (6)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
25 “You must serve only the lord your God. If you do, I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness.

BIBLE READING:
Matthew 26:17-19
17 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to prepare the Passover meal for you?”
18 “As you go into the city,” he told them, “you will see a certain man. Tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My time has come, and I will eat the Passover meal with my disciples at your house.’”
19 So the disciples did as Jesus told them and prepared the Passover meal there.
By the power in the name of Jesus, every expectations for the week that are yet to manifest, shall be perfected today, in Jesus Powerful name, Amen.
We’ve been able to established the fact that, the Call of God doesn’t literally mean to preach or teach on the altar. Calling doesn’t mean you have to found a church, be a Pastor, Reverend or Bishop, No. Every one has a call he/she is to fulfil both inside and outside of the church. Today, our focus is “Releasing our Possession”. Yes, am not talking about tithe and offering, pledges or fund for the Gospel, but sacrificing our special resources. A good example today is found in the book of Mark 11.
Mark 11:2-3,6.
2. And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
3. And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
6. And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
Why will someone rear a colt and never sat on it and someone came to loose it without permission and they were let go with it? it has been preordained, it was his calling to give the colt. Have you heard of testimony of people being stirred up to be a blessing even without request? That’s their calling. Remember Joseph the Arimathea who came to ask for Jesus’ body and place him in his personal tomb in Matthew 27:57-60, that was His calling, we no longer heard about him. This calling involves sacrificing special resources for free. Do you belong to this calling? You just have the leading to be a blessing to an unknown person with their immediate need, that may just be your calling. Be sensitive to perform your calling.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 6, Day 5: Thursday, 8th February, 2024 TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Your Profession, Your Calling (5)

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye  Emmanuel
Week 6, Day 5:
Thursday, 8th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Your Profession, Your Calling (5)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
25 “You must serve only the lord your God. If you do, I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness.

BIBLE READING:
Exodus 31:1-5.
“1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2. See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:
3. And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4. To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
5. And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.
May the God of heaven attend to that persistent situation giving us sleepiness night in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
As we move forward on the topic, “Diverse Services” our focus is shifting to “Profession Calling”. As I said earlier on, that God didn’t call everyone to the pulpit but into different offices to serve Him and propagate His Kingdom. Professionals also have their calling, it may not be to carry the Bible around and be shouting, “Jesus is the saviour of the World” but servicing in our specific fields faithfully.
King Solomon said, in Proverbs 22:29,
“29. Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”
When we talk about business, we are talking of what God has called us into, whichever field we are, as an Engineer, Accountant, Footballer, News Caster, Lecturer, Teachers, Civil Servants, Trader, name it, that profession of yours can also be the calling of God upon your life, all you need is to be sure and glorify God with it. Let others see the difference between your business and theirs, that it’s a profession to Honour God.
God directed Moses to Bezaleel the son of Uri whom He has called into craving all forms of mineral resources. He wasn’t called to help Moses in the ministry work but with his profession. Likewise, pulpit calling might not be yours, your profession may be your calling. Be sure to identify what your calling is and be focus to carry out that assignments. Preach the gospel through your profession.
Good Day and God bless you.
