Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 29, week 2 Monday, 15th July 2024. TOPIC: MOVING WITH THE CROWD 2: Negative Report Intake

TOPIC: MOVING WITH THE CROWD 2: Negative Report Intake

MEMORY VERSE:
Matthew 18:19-20.
19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

BIBLE READING:
Numbers 13:31-33.
“31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”
32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature.
Thinking Point:
Moving with the crowd generates intake of multiple of negative reports if care is not taken.
Welcome to the first working day of the week, all uncompleted expectations of last week shall be perfected this week by the power in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Moving with the crowd most times generates bad report. The crowd always have the strength to agree on whatever they want but their decision most times reveal their weaknesses. When you are in such circle they decide what happens to you, dictates how you live your life and help you see less of you. The crowd are always selfish in their decisions, they put them selves into consideration and less of others. They think negative than being positive in their selfishness. They see reasons why things can’t be done rather than seeing the possible side of it. They are good at suppressing your ability if care is not taken
Moses sent twelve spies to the land of Canaan but the multitude, the ten, came back with bad report, all they saw were negative rather than being positive, their bad report infiltrated the Israelites and discouraged the whole assembly. When you’re around them you’re tempted to reason low and negative, to think of reasons why things can’t be done. You don’t need to be with the crowd always, be the Caleb of our time who will stand out for positive report, who sees the other side of the situation. Be positive to be different from the crowd. That things happened to others isn’t a prove it must happen to you. That your dream looks different from others is not a prove that it’s not attainable, keep your focus on God not the crowd’s expectations of you. You are not design to function like multiple, we are design to function according to our assignment. Avoid be influenced by the crowd, be the one who sees possibility in all impossibilities.
Good Day and God Bless you.

TOPIC: MOVING WITH THE CROWD? 1: Brings Confusion

1 Samuel 13:8-12.
“8 Then he waited seven days, according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.
9 So Saul said, “Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.” And he offered the burnt offering.
10 Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him.
11 And Samuel said, “What have you done?” Saul said, “When I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash,
12 then I said, ‘The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the LORD.’ Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.”
God isn’t move by crowd, I never mean God is against the crowd, but crowd will hardly unite in making good decision. Jesus said, wide is the road that leads to destruction, meaning the wide road can conveniently take the crowd to destruction and confusion, but narrow is the way, Few persons walking together can be led to success, Math. 7:13-14. When you walk with the crowd you may possibly end in confusion. When you live by what others say and do, you are likely to miss what God has for you, may we not be confuse in Jesus Mighty name.
King Saul, the first King of Israel fell victim of the crowd. The crowd led him to carry out the duty of Prophet Samuel which led him to loosing the throne to King David. When you focus on crowd, you loose your focus on God and remain confused. Are you crowd freak? Do you do things because others are doing it? When you are alone in your decision, do you change because no one is following you? Jesus said, where two or three gather in His name, there He is in their mist not until thousand gathered in His name. You prefer to be in the crowded church but you are not making any impart. When you are crowd freak, it determines what happens around you and your home. Beware of crowd’s decision.
Good Day and God Bless you.

TOPIC: LEAD ME FATHER: Prayers (7)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 33:14.
“14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 30:21.
“21. And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”
Faithful God, I’m grateful for your love and care towards me and my household. For all the benefits you’ve shown us. Thank you for not abandoning me in the mist of challenges of life. For speaking for me, fighting for me and meeting all my needs, to you alone belong all the glory and praises forevermore, Amen.
This day Father, I ask that you lead me in all ways, I want you to be in charge of my life, my home, my finances, my decisions, my health and relatives. Go ahead of me, I surrender to your leading. I’m holding nothing back from you Father, in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Jesus you are the way, the truth and the life, show me the way to go, reveal the truth to me about my life, and give me life Father. Lord Jesus, teach me what you want me to know, tell me what you want me to do and show me where you want me to go so I can become who you’ve ordained me to be. I receive the Grace to harken to your instructions daily, when convenient and when it’s not. I receive grace to go through the huddles in my path, in Jesus Mighty name. Take over father from now on, in Jesus Mighty Name, I have prayed, Amen.

TOPIC: LEAD ME FATHER: We Need To Aks (6)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 33:14.
“14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

BIBLE READING:
Jeremiah 33:3.
“3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
Thinking Point:
God is all Knowing but He takes pleasure in hearing our request before badging into our lives.
Today being the last working day of the week, your effort shall not be in vain in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
We call God the Alpha and Omega, the all knowing One, the one who knows the thought of our heart while thinking. That God Is all knowing, doesn’t mean He will give us anything at will, No, He will always wait to hear our request before granting them. We can allow him to lead us in diverse ways, He said we should call on Him and He will answer us and show us mighty secrets we have no idea, How?
1. Cornelius called to God before He intervene, how? Through he’s way of life and devotion to God.
Acts 10:2.
“2. A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.”
This was how Cornelius called on God and the Lord sent him an angel in order to lead him to His will. Calling on God doesn’t end in prayer and going to church but being devoted to God, living in His fear and His will. God will not lead someone who will not humble himself.
2. Asking without doubt.
Matthew 7:7-8.
“7. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
“8. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
God leads us when we call to Him in prayers, when we surrender to His leading. God doesn’t speak to those who will not yield to His instructions. He responds to those who are ready and willing to be led. God wants us to call to Him, make request and receive them but He will respond to those who will believe in Him totally.
Do you want to be led by God? Are you ready to surrender to His leading, be more devoted, reflect the fear of God in your daily activities, obey Him to the fullest and meeting other’s needs? He want us to call Him but He’s response will be for those who are willing to yield to Him.
Good Day and God Bless you.

TOPIC: LEAD ME FATHER: Parental Wilderness (5)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 33:14.
“14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

BIBLE READING:
2 Samuel 21:1, 3 & 6
1 There was a famine during David’s reign that lasted for three years, so David asked the lord about it. And the lord said, “The famine has come because Saul and his family are guilty of murdering the Gibeonites.”
3 David asked them, “What can I do for you? How can I make amends so that you will bless the lord’s people again?”
6 So let seven of Saul’s sons be handed over to us, and we will execute them before the lord at Gibeon, on the mountain of the lord.”“All right,” the king said, “I will do it.”
Thinking Point:
Parents can be the reason children are in the wilderness of Life, courtesy of their attitude.
This day, whatsoever reason behind that wilderness of your life, the Holy Spirit will intervene In Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
God can refine us using wilderness experience.
Our way of life, both present and past, can also lead us into the wilderness of life. Lastly, our parents can also be the reason we are in that wilderness. Many parents live an irresponsible life which goes a long way to affect their children. When people are in authority, some sow negative seeds, and some greed for money, power and wealth inflict their children with wilderness experience.
King Saul’s nonchalant attitude caused the land of Israel to go in to famine for three difficult years which was averted with the blood of seven of His children. We all need to trace the reason we are in that wilderness of life. Until we identify the reason we might be praying amiss. Until we know the source of our wilderness we might remain there for life. Parents, are you not the reason for your children’s wilderness? Some parents still try to control and dictate to their married children till their home gets broken. Many other wilderness can be contacted through the place of work, working with ministers of God, disobedience to parents and many more. But the major sources of wilderness are God, parent and self inflicted wilderness.
Father, we ask today, that you will reveal the source of our present situation /experience to us, show us the way out and set us free in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Good Day and God Bless you.

TOPIC: LEAD ME FATHER: Individual Wilderness (4)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 33:14.
“14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

BIBLE READING:
Luke 15:12-13, 17-18.
“12. And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.”
“13. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.”
“17. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!”
“18. I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,”
Thinking Point:
“Not all wilderness are God’s ordained, many are self inflicted. Identify the source of your wilderness.”
It’s a new day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
We were able to see some of our fathers who went through the wilderness ordained by the Lord to try and refine them. Today, our focus will be shifting to individual inflicted wilderness. Our Bible reading is about the story we often call ‘the Prodigal son’. This is an example of self inflicted wilderness. When we leave our assigned place to search for greener pastures elsewhere (outside God), we may end up in self wilderness. The younger brother took what belonged to him and went to a far country from home, without investing, he spent large and devoured all His wealth which landed him in the wilderness of begging. Many landed in the wilderness of wrong marriages, wrong country, wrong place of work and some are locked up in prison for cases they knew nothing about all because they left their rightful place or took their decisions without involving God.
Esau finds himself in the wilderness of denied blessings because he couldn’t control his appetite. He gave his birthright away and lost his blessing. Self inflicted wilderness can be handled by identifying one’s mistake and returning to God. The prodigal son came back to his senses and returned to his father. Esau realized his mistake, he tried remarrying a woman to please his parents and later regained little of the lost honour.
That wilderness we are in, may be inflicted by us. You’ll need to sit back to identify where you got it all wrong. Go to God to guide you right and retrace your step.
Father, I am sorry for ending up in this self inflicted wilderness. Oh Lord deliver me and direct my step back to you in Jesus name, Amen.
Good Day and God Bless you.

TOPIC: LEAD ME FATHER: Out Of All Wilderness (3)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 33:14.
“14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 43:19.
“19. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Thinking Point:
Every forms of wilderness need our involvements to attain freedom.
Welcome to a new day filled with God’s favour and His Grace upon all your endeavours in Jesus name, Amen.
Yesterday we discuss about wilderness and God making ways in the wilderness. Today, I would like to speak about diverse types of wilderness in a believer’s life. Yes, wilderness have different forms according to individuals. These types of wilderness has been categorized into three types which are;
1. God’s wilderness.
2. Individual wilderness.
3. Parental wilderness.
Of all these wilderness, the most easiest to handle is God’s wilderness. God can put us through a wilderness in order to prove a point, either to Try us or Refine and prepare us for where He is taking us to.
Job
Dwelling on God’s Wilderness, from the life of Job chapter 1 and 2, we read how God permitted Job to entered into a life time wilderness without his knowledge. God was tryin to prove to satan that, Job will be faithful till the end, that he will never turn away from Him no matter the wilderness he may be faced with. This is an example of Trying Wilderness, God was trying to showcase Job’s Uprightness and perfection, and He did scaled through the wilderness. In such wilderness, it’s God that determines our way out of the wilderness.
‘Abraham’
In the case of our Father Abraham, he was not able to cross the Trying Wilderness easily, Genesis Chapter 16. It took thirteen years silence between God and Abraham to speak again, Genesis 16:16 – 17:1. Another short wilderness season came for Him to be tried when God requested for Issac to be sacrificed and this time around, our father came through the wilderness of life.
‘Joseph’
Joseph’s Wilderness wasn’t a trying wilderness but Refining wilderness. He was suppose to unlearn the attitude of loose and untamed mouth before becoming whom God has ordained him to be. He needed to learn the language of Egypt in order to rule over the land. He was refined and was presented to be the second in command in Egypt.
Many Christians are going through this wilderness. A wilderness of trial and refining, we only need to make Him the focus to scale through this wilderness. If we will not submit to His leading we might end up in the wilderness. Many Israelites entered into the wilderness but couldn’t see the end because they couldn’t submit to the leading of God. I pray today that, may we be able to submit to His leading in our wilderness in Jesus mighty name, Amen. All we need to do is to surrender to His leading in the wilderness like Joshua and Caleb did and we will see the end of the wilderness.
Father, help me stay put in this wilderness you’ve placed me. I don’t want to end up in the wilderness, help me come through it in Jesus name to Amen.
Good Day and God Bless you.

TOPIC: LEAD ME FATHER: Make A Way In My Wilderness (2)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 33:14.
“14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 43:19.
“19. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Thinking Point:
Where you are may seems like a wilderness, but with God ahead of you it becomes a city.
May this day brings us strength and wisdom from God in Jesus name, Amen. Where you are located or based may not be palatable or comfortable. Everything may seems dried and empty. Isaac was once in that situation in the land of Gerar. There was famine and the indigene were taking flight, but God led Isaac by saying, Stay in the land, Genesis 26. When God is leading, you enjoy supplies even in the wilderness; water flows in the desert and exempted from being a victim of circumstances. Whatever wilderness you may be presently, either waiting for a partner, for the fruit of the womb, troubling children, waiting for job or promotion, I see God stepping into that wilderness with you Jesus name, Amen.
Before God every wilderness is a city in the making. Every trouble is testimony coming through. When He’s in charge, what troubles us is what He uses to make us who He had designed us to be. Abraham saw wilderness but God saw a flourishing land,
Genesis 13:15, 17-18.
“15. For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.”
“17. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.”
“18. Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.”
In that wilderness, if God is the one leading you, it’s become a place of surplus in Jesus name, Amen.
Father, I need your help in this wilderness of mine. I await you to make way for me, make all dryness filled with water in Jesus name, I hand over to you totally, lead me through in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: LEAD ME FATHER: Go Ahead Of Me (1)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 33:14.
“14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

BIBLE READING:
Exodus 33:15
“15. And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.”
Thinking Point:
Without God’s leading, one’s safety is unsure. When He leads everything gives way.
I officially welcome you to the beginning of the seventh Month of the year. We were able to recount God’s faithfulness towards us in our one week study and we return all the Glory to Him withholding nothing, may our appreciation be acceptable to Him in Jesus name, Amen.
This week we are starting a fresh lesson for the next six months and our request this week is for Him to accompany us as we journey the next six month. His presence is all we need to make this journey greater and better than the first six months of the year. Moses speaking in our Bible reading for today, said, Father If you will not be the leader we are not ready to move an inch because without you we are like blind men crossing the road. This is our request today, that the Lord will go ahead of us to make every crooked path straight, fill up the valleys and level the mountain before us in Jesus name, Amen.
Father and our God. We surrender ourselves to your leading, to lead guide and direct our path through the next six months. We can’t make the journey without you Lord, let your presence go with us from now on, in Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen.
Good Day and God Bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 27, Day 7: Saturday, 6th July 2024. TOPIC: CELEBRATING GOD’S FAITHFULNESS: For He Mercy (7)

TOPIC: CELEBRATING GOD’S FAITHFULNESS: For He Mercy (7)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 136:1.
“1. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

BIBLE READING:
Psalms 103:10.
“10. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.”
Thinking Point:
If we claim we have no sin, we are increasing our sins because we lie the most.
The faithfulness of our Lord God covers a lot of areas of our lives as believers which we have seen in some areas this week. I’m rounding up this teaching this week with the Faithfulness of our God over our sins. As fathers and mothers, we know how to reserve our children’s punishment when they deray from our instructions. We pretend to have forgotten but after some moment we unleash our anger on them, that is not God. He sees our wrongs, finds means to correct us, brings us back to Himself and forgives our sins. Many times we get Him angry, disappoint His trust in us but He still behold us with His merciful eyes. You claim you are not a sinner? What about the thought of your heart to your spouse? What about those secrets you buried away from him/her? What about your mind set to your colleagues that just had that promotion which they deserve, how did you feel about them? Sin starts from thought and leads to action or words as an expression, but God overlooks all these because of His faithfulness towards us.
“He hath not dealt with us after our sins;”
There are judgements for those attitudes but God waves them away with little punishment. He looks away from them because of His mercy and faithfulness.
“… Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.”
He changes our rewards from bad to Good that was why Apostle Paul said, “He makes all things work together for good to those who love him and are called according to His purpose” – Romans 8:28. He replaces our punishment with favour, turning our wrong steps around for us. He is Faithful even in our sins. Many didn’t escape such sins but we did, are we better than they are? No, for His mercy endures forever. His faithfulness is forevermore.
Father, we come to thank you today, for your faithfulness all through the last six months. We celebrate your faithfulness over our Iives, receive our appreciation today. Faithful God, lead us through the next six months with better results all around us in Jesus name, thank you Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed, Amen.
