TOPIC: YOU ARE REPLACEABLE:
CONTROL YOUR ANGER

Memory Verse: 1 Kings 19:18
Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

Bible Reading: Num. 20:7-12, Deut. 1:37-38
“7 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
8 “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.”
9 So Moses took the rod from before the LORD as He commanded him.
10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly  together before the rock; and he said to them,  “Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for  you out of this rock?”
11 Then Moses lifted his  hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and  water came out abundantly, and the  congregation and their animals drank.
12 Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron,  “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”
Deut. 1:37-38
“37 The LORD was also angry with me for your  sakes, saying, ‘Even you shall not go in there.
38 Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall go in there. Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.”
As a leader, you need to be able to accept people as they are. You need to always close your eye to some attitude from your follower. Likewise, as Christians, we need to work on our anger. People can make us angry to the extent of offending God and this can make God replace us with someone better, younger and more accepted than we do, may we not get into anger that will destroy us in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
The most humble man on earth, who has been pleading on behalf of the Israelite many times made a mistake angrily and this led to the end of his journey with God and a replacement was made for him, what a mistake? He took these people out of Egypt, led them through the wilderness, crossed many challenges but  because of anger, God ended his journey. Father, help me not to make a costly mistake with anger in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
How do you handle your anger? Does it have power over you or you do control it? With anger Moses forgot the instructions of God and struck the rock twice instead of speaking to the rock. Work on your anger. Control it before it cause your replacement.
Oh Lord, help me put my anger under control on a daily bases, I need your Spirit to help me out   always, in Jesus Mighty Name I pray, Amen.

TOPIC: SELF AFFLICTED TROUBLE

Memory Verse: Ps. 7:15
15 He made a pit and dug it out, And has fallen into the ditch which he made.

Bible Reading: Gen. 4:3-12
3 And in the process of time it came to  pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD. 4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering, 5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain  was very angry, and his countenance fell.  6 So the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” 8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed  him. 9 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where  is Abel your brother?”  He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” 10 And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground. 11 So now you are cursed from the  earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.12 When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its  strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.”
CONTROL YOUR ANGER
The first murderer in the world was Cain and he was the first born In human race. Cain raised his hands to kill his younger brother, Abel, because he was angry that Abel’s offering was accepted by God.
When things doesn’t go well with you control your anger towards others that are making it because, you will also make it soon. Things being wrong doesn’t means things will always be wrong. Life is in phases and situations are not permanent.
Cain would have try to know why his offering was rejected but instead he went on to kill his brother and by so doing, he was cursed by God. His uncontrolled anger led to the killing and the killing brought curse on him and his generation.
To be angry is not a sin, according to Ephesians 4:26, “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath”, it’s what you do when  you are angered that can lead to sin. Control your anger in order not to attract trouble for yourself. May God help us control ourselves when we get angry in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Do have a wonderful week ahead.
