Change Your Countenance
Memory Verse: Is. 40:29
“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.”
Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 1:18
And she said, “Let your maidservant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.
Often, believers tend to wait for a change in situation before they change their countenance. We want to feel and experience changes before we cheer up. Our countenance to the occurrence around us matters a lot. The look we wear, the attitude we show and the words of our mouth should be against our predicament, (am not saying you shouldn’t seek for help). We have prayed, fasted, heard from God, then we need to be rest assured that help is on the way and then change our countenance inline with what we are expecting.
Hannah, she believed every response she received after her prayer. She changed her gesture – smile in faith, stopped staving herself – she went to eat, lived like she was seeing her complete testimony. She acted the words of Prophet Habakkuk which say,
“17 Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— 18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:17-18.
Change of countenance is a boost for God to act your faith. Let the faintness attitude and your mentality change to the positive you are expecting from God. Begin to declare in faith that all things has changed. Start by praising Him in advance and your faintness will vanish before you realize it. Change your expression after you have prayed and begin to praise God in advance.
Good Morning.
