Week 27, Day 6:
Friday, 7th July 2023.

Topic: RISK TAKERS 6. Obedience; Friuthful Risk

MEMORY VERSE:
Deuteronomy 1:6.
“6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:”

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 22:1-3.
“1. And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
2. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
3. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
The hardest risk to take is the risk that comes as an instruction from God and through His servants. Risk that looks so foolish and selfish. Imagine an old man with only a son and God said give me your son as a sacrifice. Am hungry for the sacrifice of your child, I feel like taking him back to myself. The Old man foolishly took his son, without the knowledge of his mother, went to the mountain to give him to God, that is risk in obedience.
2 kings 4: 1- 7, A widow went to a man of God for the debt of her late husband. The lender came for his money and God’s servant said, “Go and borrow again” how do you respond to that? Risky Obedience
2 kings 5: 8 -14, Naaman, a warrior with leprosy, needed healing, was before Elisha for cleansing and was told to go to a small (unrecognized) and dirty river to wash himself up, Risky Obedience.
This is what God wants from us, not to question His instructions, are we willing to go this far with our risk.
Good Day and God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Topic: RISK TAKERS 5.
Loyalty Is a Risk

MEMORY VERSE:
Deuteronomy 1:6.
“6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:”

BIBLE READING:
Ruth 1:16-18.
“16. And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
17. Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.
18. When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.”
One of the stories of the Bible that is filled with lessons whenever I read through it, Is the story of Ruth. Who was she? A young widow without a child also no brother in-law, and still determine to remain with her Mother in-law. Reasoning about what was on her mind when she made this risk? I believe this was her thought, “I am married to this family till death do us part. This is my mother in-law and I can’t leave her alone without a Husband or a child. I will surely stand by here as loyalty to my late husband, I will remain as her only daughter and we will be together.” What a deep thought. That is one of the greatest risk of the Bible, no hope for marriage because she wasn’t ready to let go from the woman.
To be loyal to that spouse of yours in challenging times is a risk you need to take as long as you are together. Her loyalty to that family earned her a great-grand -mother to David and the linage of our Lord Jesus Christ. There are risk to take in our marriages, ministries, place of work, even our extended family that may seems foolish but it’s a sign of loyalty. How far is your loyalty with your challenged friend? God rewards risk of loyalty with lasting reward. We are reading about Ruth but nothing more about Orpah. What will be said about you also?
Good Day and God Bless you.

Topic: RISK TAKERS 4.
Risking Praise In Challenge

MEMORY VERSE:
Deuteronomy 1:6.
“6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:”

BIBLE READING:
2 Chronicles 20:20-21.
“20. And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
21. And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.
What do we do when things aren’t working our ways? What do we say when we’ve tried all our best but still end in futility? How do we go about reoccurring failures around us? When all roads seem blocked and we’re caged, what is the easiest risk to take? Praising God for His awesomeness. Praise Him for what He has done, what He will do and How He will do it in His own ways. Most times we wait for someone to cajole us to Praise God even when things are good. We wait for reasons to give God Praise which is not meant to be so. May I let you know that, Praises in challenging time is a risk that need to be taken always.
King Jehoshaphat saw a great opposition which is enough to swallow Judah all at once. He didn’t wait for God’s Instructions for Praise but he declared the Praise of God against the weapons of war, they danced and sang in the presence of their enemies vividly. Praising God is a risk to be taken seriously and daily in the face of opposition. When you Praise Him He shows you why He is God. Let’s take the risk of praise today, no matter the situation, risk His praises in your heart today.
Good Day and God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

To Be Good, Is A Risk.

MEMORY VERSE:
Deuteronomy 1:6.
“6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:”

BIBLE READING:
Luke 10:33-35.
“33. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34. And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
Beloved, we’re all called to take risk not by ranks, anointing or position but as believers. We are risk takers anywhere we are, this is where our identity is revealed as true believers. That was the case of the good Samaritan in the parable of Jesus Christ.
A man was robbed, left wounded according to Jesus’ parable. He was left to die on the road and needed an urgent help from someone. Jesus said a priest and a levite saw him and passed by the other side without taking the risk to save him. But a Samaritan, (then Samaritans are considered to be an unbeliever), came to the point, stoop low, attended to the man, carried him on his horse and took him to a nearby inn (hospital) for treatment.
What a risk on his own life. I know as Nigerians many thoughts are running through our mind, yes, the same thoughts went through his mind but he took the risk to save a life. When your risk doesn’t attract mockery or fear then it’s a normal step. Your risk should worth people condemning you if possible. Sometimes your risk may be to save a single soul and not multitude. Can you risk your life for one?
Good Day and God Bless you.

Week 27, Day 2:
Sunday, 3rd July 2023.

Topic: RISK TAKERS 2.
Esther Risk Her Life For The Jews.

MEMORY VERSE:
Deuteronomy 1:6.
“6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:”

BIBLE READING:
Esther 4:15-17.
“15. Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,
16. Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
17. So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.”
“Taking Risk to save lives,” is a simple theme to be given to Esther’s decision. Despite being the loved Queen, there are rules guiding when to see and meet with the King (her Husband). There are consequences if these rules are bent, but her Uncle also told her the consequences if the risk was not taken, then she sent this message back,
“16…. and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.”
What a risk! The scripture said, the next day she went to present herself before the king and she was favoured by the King. If she had made up her mind not to go because she was safe in the palace, God would have raised someone else according to Modecia, but she took the risk and saved all the Jews in Susa from the plot of Haman.
To take a risk means breaking a rule for a positive reason. Esther was placed at the palace for this reason so she could be the saviour for the Jews. Your position isn’t just for your family but for generation to be save. What’s the risk presented before you that you deem dangerous? That’s the reason you are in that marriage, that office, and that ministry. You’re to take the risk and save lives. God is telling you this for you to move and risk it all.
Good Day and God Bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 27, Day 1: Sunday, 2nd July 2023. Topic: RISK TAKERS 1.The Widow of Zarephath

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 27, Day 1:
Sunday, 2nd July 2023.

Topic: RISK TAKERS 1.
The Widow of Zarephath

MEMORY VERSE:
Deuteronomy 1:6.
“6. The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 17:10-11, 15.
“10. So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
15. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.”
We shall be studying some of our “Heros and Heroines” from the scriptures as example of risk takers. Today, we shall be seeing the Widow of Zarephath, who had little left for her survival but took the risk to give to God’s servant, Prophet Elijah. The risk was initiated by God, as a proof that every risk was from God. God directed Elijah to the widow to demand this risk from her. God knew what she has left before sending Elijah but because He was willing to bless and sustain her He tempted her with this risk. We saw how the woman passed the test by taking the risk to prepare the last meal for Elijah and she and her household did ate many days later.
Many atimes we avoid taking risk because of what we have left, God doesn’t see it that way. He intentionally directed that risk to you for a Blessing, for Lifting and Promotion. Your risk will be different from others risk. We need to be sensitive not to miss our ordained risk. Are you willing to take that risk Jesus is directing towards you? Risk is always demanding. Be ready to take the risk.
Good Day and God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 26, Day 7: Saturday, 1st July 2023. Topic: TAKE THE RISK 7: Your Risk, Fulfilment Of A Prophecy

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 26, Day 7:
Saturday, 1st July 2023.

Topic: TAKE THE RISK 7:
Your Risk, Fulfilment Of A Prophecy

MEMORY VERSE:
Deuteronomy 2:2-3.
“2. And the LORD spake unto me, saying,
3. Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.”

BIBLE READING:
2 Kings 7:16.
“16. And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD.”
Every risk that comes across our way have been ordained before creation. Those risks are meant to move us forward and solve certain challenges in our lives and others. Let me put it this way, every godly risk is a fulfilment to prophecies. When you take risk, is to fulfill a spoken word of God, either known or unknown to you. So not taking risk is working against the fulfilment of God prophecy.
Every risk presented before you, that seems impossible, are all ordained by God to accomplish a spoken word of old. When the leper took the risk to go to the enemy’s camp, little did they knew they were fulfilling the prophecy from Prophet Elisha. We are all instrument to fulfilling God’s prophecy through our risk. Now, when we refuse to take that risk, we are working against the prophesy, that is why God will raise someone else’s to take that risk to fulfill the prophecy. What risk do you need to take concerning that child of yours, your spouse, you career, ministry, work or health, it’s time to take the step and stop fighting against God’s prophecy because, taking that risk is to bring to pass what God has promised in time past.
Good Day and God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Week 26, Day 6:
Friday, 30th June 2023.

Topic: TAKE THE RISK 6:
Taking Risk Makes You A Blessing

MEMORY VERSE:
Deuteronomy 2:2-3.
“2. And the LORD spake unto me, saying,
3. Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.”

BIBLE READING:
2 Kings 7:9.
“9. Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.
Risk taking and the result therein isn’t meant for personal gain, Yes, it’s for the good of all. Not for self consumption, but to affect lives around us positively. We’ve got to know that, every risk is a door opener for a better life, when the door is open, allow others to have access in. We don’t become great to suppress others, we become great to make others great.
The four lepers enjoyed themselves and had in abundance, then they said to one another,
“We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.”
Meaning, we can’t enjoy all these alone, it’s even dangerous. We need to let others benefit from it. We need to be a blessing to the city even if we are forbidden from entering the city. Famine in the city and surplus here and we in between them without linking them isn’t right, let’s reach out to the king. They broke the good news to the city and everyone was relived of famine. That is how it should be, the positive result of your risk should help people out of their difficulties. Don’t hold it all to yourself, spread it over for there’s danger when you withhold it to yourself alone.
Good Day and God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
