TOPIC: IMPROVE YOURSELF 3: Be Different In Character

Memory Verse: 3 John 1:2
“2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all  things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

Bible Reading: 1 Tim. 4:12.
“12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Everyone has a nature which God has imbedded in us. Many influencing factors has taken over our real self, influence of envy, revenge, hatred and poverty. Our words has changed and our faith has been tampered with all in the name of being like someone else. We are so much carried away by what others are and have departed from who God created us to be. We’ve looked down on ourselves the way other sees us and this has killed the self esteem imbedded in us from the foundation of our creation. We’ve been mentored against our real self. We’ve been tutored to be bad examples which we know we are not.
Apostle Paul, speaking to His spiritual son, made it known to him to work on Himself not working on whom others want him to be. He should be different among other believers. We are to be a good and different example to others not like them. We are to work on our real nature to be better on a daily bases and not to be the product of a bad influence. To relate in love, in purity of mind and in faith. We need to improve on our mind set, not to be what the world would have us be but what God would want us be.
Attitude of men are not to be our focus but the attitude of Christ. He refuses to be influence by the Pharisees and the Sadducees. He mede His stand known and till today, billions of soul became His follower. Improve on your faith, your love and purity of heart. Stop seeing yourself as haven reached the best you can but keep working on yourself.

Week 40, Day 3,

TOPIC: IMPROVE YOURSELF 2: Carrier Wise

Memory Verse: 3 John 1:2
“2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all  things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

Bible Reading: Exo. 31:1-5
“1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
2 “See, I have  called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
3 And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4 to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze,
5 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.”
God is not just interested In our spiritual well being alone. He also wants us to improve in our chosen field of work. He wants us all to get to the level He has predestined for us before the beginning of the world. You can do more than what you’ve achieve, all you need is to improve on yourself the more.
God directed Moses to an artisan who will do the work of the temple exactly the way He wanted it. He called him by name and by tribe, “Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah” and God explained to Moses how far he has improved on himself, he could work on any mineral resource to give him what he wants. God said, “he has given him the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.” The same God gave everyone of us the same wisdom, knowledge and understanding in different field He has called us into but we might not have been working on it. We depend on what we know and not ready to go the extra mile to improve on ourselves.
Your income is solely determine by the improvement you are making. How often do you go the extra mile in your endeavour and business? Do you just think that is enough for you? You need to enlarge and increase your intake of ideas in order to increase your income too. God is not one sided or just spiritual only but He wants to introduce you to someone who will be a blessing to you but until you improve on your carrier. Expand your tentacles to enjoy the abundance of God upon you.

TOPIC: IMPROVE YOURSELF: Spiritual Life

Memory Verse: 3 John 1:2
“2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all  things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

Bible Reading: 2 Tim. 2:15.
“15 Study to shew thyself approved unto  God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly  dividing the word of truth.
This week we shall be discussing on which area of our lives we need to improve. Anything or person that stays stagnated can’t be fit for future use. The foundation of everything starts from the spiritual realm. Every success one achieves start from the spiritual, that is why many who wants success search for diverse spiritual means to get it. But the only and right way, without negative repercussion, is through Jesus Christ our Lord.
How do we improve our spiritual life,
1. Through the reading of God’s word, Ps. 119:130. Our memory verse says, study to show yourself approved unto God. The more we study God’s word, the more we know more of Him, then the more He reveals himself to us which will in turn increase our walk with the Lord.
2. Through Prayer, Jere 33:3. Our spiritual life can be improved through continuous prayer life. God want to communicate with us in order to reveal His purpose to us.
3. Through fasting, Math. 17:21, Act 10:30-34. Fasting prepares your body, spirit and soul to communicate better with God. It helps to separate oneself for God and this in turn help in improving our spiritual walk with God.
God wants us to move from the level of milk to bone, from the level of babe to adult and without these three instrument it might not be possible. Work on yourself in order to improve your spiritual life. Create a time to fast, pray and study the word and your life with begin to reflect what God has ordained you for. God bless us all this week.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Fakunle Emmanuel
Week 39, Day 7,
Saturday, 2nd October 2021.

TOPIC: “GOD WITH US” 7: Be Conscious Of Him

Memory Verse: Math. 1:23,
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Bible Reading: Gen. 39:1-8
“1 Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the  Ishmaelites who had taken him down there.
2 The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a  successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD made all he did to prosper in his hand.
4 So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he  made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority.
5 So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the LORD blessed  the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the LORD was on all that he had in the house and in the field.
6 Thus he left all that  he had in Joseph’s hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate. Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance.
7 And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, “Lie with me.”
8 But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand.”
The consciousness of God being present around us sustain His presence. God desire to remain in contact with us every moment in order to enjoy Communion with us. He wants a relationship like that of the Garden of Eden with the first man and woman. But when we are not conscious of His presence around us, it hurts Him.
Joseph’s secret of God’s presence was the consciousness of God being present. Even in a foreign land he maintain that consciousness of God’s presence. The scripture talked of how his master identify God’s presence around him until he made Joseph the ruler of his home. This consciousness was made know when the mother of the house made a request of laying with Him and Joseph made it known to her that, He can’t do such thing because of God’s presence, Gen. 39:9. This landed him in the prison but he still retained God’s presence with him.
What is that act that send away the presence of God? What is the pleasure that takes over God’s presence from you? God want His presence to be made known to others through us. He wants a relationship with us in order to make us the real person He has predestined us to be. How conscious are we of the presence of God? Are we sending him away or retaining him with our words, action and thought? God knows about those temptation, He just want to know how we respond to them. God is always around us, let us stop sending Him away.

TOPIC: “GOD WITH US” 5: Preach The Word

Memory Verse: Math. 1:23,
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Bible Reading: Math. 28:19-20
“19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the  Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”  Amen.”
This is one of the passages we quote out of context. We only extract what we want from it and leave the rest. Yes, God has promised to be with us all the way in our journey. When we received Jesus into our lives, new things begin to unfold and we feel that’s all, No, that’s not all. There is assignment for every believer who chooses to retain God’s presence continuously.
From this passage of the Bible, Jesus was assuring us of His presence if we will go out to preach His Gospel, to speak to others about Him. He has sent us to preach the Gospel from nation to nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. We are to make disciples after Him, then, will He stand right beside us as we witness about Him. To speak to others about Christ retains His presence around us.
Now, you want the presence of God to abide with you everywhere you are, then preach the Gospel of Jesus and He will never leave nor forsake you. He will speak, fight and defend us from every evil. Make Him known to those that are yet to follow Him. Let your way of life preach the Gospel of Jesus. He as promise, if we will do this, He will be with us till the end of the world. May we have the courage to retain God’s presence through preaching of His word in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: “GOD WITH US” 4: AVOID SIN

Memory Verse: Math. 1:23,
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Bible Reading: Isaiah 59:1-2
“1 Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened,  That it cannot save;  Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.
2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden  His face from you, So that He will not hear.”
The first thing that separates God from us is sin, iniquity, transgression. God cannot behold sin, He can’t cope with sinners. Believers with sin stands as a bad odour to God. When we live in sin we’ve successfully separated ourselves from God because He can’t walk with sinner. Now, get this from me, sin doesn’t make God kills one instantly or send you away from Himself, No, you only succeeded in separating yourself from God. But God is watching if you will turn away from such sins.
When we live in sin our voices becomes abomination to Him. Our cry won’t attract his compassion. Still, He is with us but we are far from Him. Every benefit that makes us a son to Him is avoided. We live as a slave to Him and not as a legitimate child. During this period, the devil can taken advantage of us, robbed us of our right in God to the extent of stealing, destroying and killing our soul, John 10:10, still, God will be watching from afar if we will confess our sins and return to Him. He is always willingly to forgive our sins when we confess them.
Are you going through any form of sickness afflicted by the devil or his agent? Seek the face of God and ask for forgiveness of any sin you’ve committed. Cry to God for His mercy if there is any sin you’ve found undetachable in your life.
Acts 3:19,
“19  Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”
Your sins can separate you from God, find redress today and get connected back to God. He is waiting to be with you always.

TOPIC: “GOD WITH US” 3: No losses

Memory Verse: Math. 1:23,
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Bible Reading: Psalms 34:17-20
”17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.
20 He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken.
Being righteous is attracting opposition to oneself, but the joy of it all is that, God will always be with us. He will keep watch over us. The numbers of our challenges doesn’t matter, what’s important is who is with us in that situation. God’s presence might not be seen, felt or noticed around one but He has promised to always be with us and He will never change or fail His word.
Many will envy you in everything you do because of the presence of God around you that others can’t see, feel or comprehend. Many forms of attack, reproach, denials of your right all because of God’s presence. This is the assurance I have for you, You will come out stronger in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. Our Bible reading today says, many are the affliction of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all. All His bones are intact after the difficulties. Since the Lord is with us, no losses,  in Jesus Mighty name. He will not leave us alone nor deny us the needed help at all time.
You will overcome in Jesus Mighty name, you will prevail come what may, you will not be defeated by the power in the name of Jesus because God is with you always.

TOPIC: “GOD WITH US” 2: He Remains With Us

Memory Verse: Math. 1:23,
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Bible Reading: Is. 43:2
“When you pass through the waters, I  will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.”
The Lord has promised us His presence in any situation we find ourselves. He made it known that, no situation can separate Him from us. The mentality of being alone during difficult times is the device of the devil against our faith. If God is no more with us with, the occurrences around us, we wouldn’t have just died but we could disappear somehow, because, the devil meant business in destroying us, but God is with us all the way.
In Isaiah chapter 43, the Lord was speaking of bringing the exile back to Jerusalem, and he promised to be with them. He categorically mentioned what they may/will come across while going back to their inheritance. God is telling us indirectly that, there will be waters, not just water but waters, Rivers, in plural also, fire will appear, but our anchor should be, God will see us through it. God will walk with us all the way. He walked with the Israelite through the Red Sea, through Jordan, the Hebrew boys went through the fire and came out untouched, that is what God is says to us. It doesn’t matter what your boss is bent on doing to you, the situation of your marriage looks like those that has failed, joblessness, childlessness, rejected, abandoned, cast away, perpetual poverty, God is saying, “I am with you”, we are together in it. Don’t feel that is the end. Be confident that the pain will soon end. God is with you.
You might say I don’t understand, Yes, I don’t. Yes, I’m not the one going through it, but this I know, What God says is what He is working on. He said, i am with you. Speak to Him in that condition, not grudgingly, but as a son will speak to His Father who is ready to hear him. As a daughter whom her mother crave to listen to. May He strengthen you to the end, it will end in the praise of God for you in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: “GOD WITH US” 1: Know This For Sure

Memory Verse: Math. 1:23,
23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Bible Reading: Is. 43:2
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.”
Am here to assure you this week that, God is with you. God is right beside you. He is the Over All God who lives everywhere at every time. God’s presence is not the absence of challenges, difficulties, enmity or lack, No, God’s presence is the sustaining strength during those situations.
When Jesus was sent to the world, He was specifically given a name from above, to be above situation, in order to subdue others names and to show the presence of God with us – Immanuel. Immanuel simply means, “God With Us”, this is an Indication to show how God is always ready to be with us all the way. This is my point today, if you have Jesus in you, you have God with you always. If you have renounce other gods and accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour, God is always with you because, Jesus’ name is Immanuel, everyone who received Him received Immanuel, and the name Immanuel answers to them also.
I want you to have this mentality from today on and make the confession that, God is With Me. I have Jesus Christ as my saviour, and He is Immanuel, so therefore, what happens to Jesus happens to me, I am Immanuel, God is always with me. I am secured in Jesus whom God resides with. Hallelujah.
Father, thank for being with me always. I realize that you’ve been with me all the way and that is why am alive today. I have the Immanuel with me, so You are with me, thank you father, In Jesus Mighty name I have prayed Amen.
