TOPIC: DIFFERENT SITUATION 3: Mobile Daily Devotional With Pst. Fakunle Emmanuel Week 20, Day 4, Wednesday, 18 May 2022. TOPIC: DIFFERENT SITUATION 3:

“31 Then someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said, “O LORD, I pray, turn the counsel of  Ahithophel into foolishness!”

32 Now it happened when David had come to the top of the mountain, where he worshiped God—there was Hushai the Archite coming to meet him with his robe torn and dust on his head.

33 David said to him, “If you go on with  me, then you will become a burden to me.

34 But if you return to the city, and say to Absalom, ‘I will be your servant, O king; as I was your  father’s servant previously, so I will now also be your servant,’ then you may defeat the  counsel of Ahithophel for me.”

The third way God handling our situation is by “Praying and Acting” at the same time about a situation. We all know what we want in line with the purpose of God concerning us. We have an idea of what God has predestined us to become but limitations may set in and we decide to pray about it, still, we wait instead of taking a bold step towards it, God won’t respond in such  situation. Joseph knew he wasn’t suppose to be in the prison, he wasn’t a criminal neither was any wrong found in him but he was wrongly accused. He kept doing God’s will and acting towards he’s release from the prison. He spoke to the Butler, “Remember me when all go well with you”. He acted against he’s present situation. God never gave him a response of “Speak to the butler” but he did and  two years later, he was sent for. You don’t just keep praying, act along. 

David knew whom Ahithophel was, that His counsel was so powerful. When he was told about Ahithophel collaboration with Absalom, He prayed to God to frustrate his counsel and still went further to act by sending “Hushai the Archite” to carry out a plan to destroy Ahithophel’s counsel, it wasn’t a response from God, it was David acting He’s prayers and God sealed it. I hope you are not waiting for God to do all for you? It’s time to start acting that purpose of God upon your life as you pray along. 

Keep praying and start acting against that situation. 

It’s one of the ways God respond to the cry of His Children. As you open your heart to pray and act, you will get it right in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
