MEMORY VERSE:
3 John 2.
2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
BIBLE READING:
Luke 17:11-19
11 Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.
13 And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”
19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well”
“Thank you sir” “Thanks for your gift”. “God bless you for the help ma”
This simple but powerful statement has shattered many Christian’s destiny. Inability to show gratitude for love and good gesture, has brought many to a position of stand still in life. Even in the household of God, many abuse this privileges and this character has stopped others, even God, from releasing blessing on them.
Ten lepers met our Lord Jesus and asked for mercy to be healed. He gave them an instructions to carry out as their healing process. The process worked out, and they were healed. Nine leper had this ingratitude character while just one of them had a grateful heart. He returned to show gratitude to Jesus. Jesus was surprised that he was a Samaritan, a stranger, not a Jew, meaning, not a believer but an unbeliever.
A heart of gratitude is a character that opens doors of blessing, while ingratitude closes the door. Heart of gratitude says, “I’m still available for more”, ingratitude says, “I can leave without your help”. Many repay gratefulness with complains and grumbling like the Israelite did. They never saw help and assistance as something to be grateful for, and this made God stop helping such. Gratitude is an act of appreciating the little received in order to welcome the greater. It’s time to have a rethink. Stop locking doors against yourself. Be grateful to God and men.
Good Morning And God Bless You.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
