TOPIC: VISION AND PROVISION 10: Provision Time Frame 2 (Long Time Provision)
MEMORY VERSE:
Habakkuk 2:2.
2. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 17:8-9.
“8. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
9. Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.”
Yesterday, we studied Short Time Provision which lasted just for a while. Most time we think we have them all and want more of such provision but they are soon exhausted.
Today, we shall be checking Long Time Provision. These provisions are always available for long, so most times, we take them for granted. We have developed over familiarity with them and they seems not to be seen as provision but as right which is the mistake. Also, these provisions become too engrossed with the vision carrier that they belittle them. Long time provision helps one’s ministry and vision, that without them quiting would have been the option
Elijah finished with the short time provision and God led Him to the long time provision which was a widow with her little son. We saw how God gave Elijah a long time provision till the rain returns to the land. Also, it’s good to know that, long time provision also expires, but one good thing about long time provision is this, it still accommodates short time provisions, they can run concurrently. Hur and Bezalel were short time provision for Moses, while Joshua and Caleb were long time provisions for Moses. But all these provisions are meant to fulfill God’s given vision in our individual lives. Which ever provision that’s available for us at every point in time, we need to know and see them as God’s provision and not our effort. Stop being angry with the short time provision which has elapsed, focus on the present provision and thank God for them always.
Good day and God bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
