TOPIC: ARE YOU IN DOUBT? 3: Doubt Can’t Stop God.
MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 1:37.
“37. For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
BIBLE READING:
2 Kings 7:1-2.
1. Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
2. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
When God put His words in the month of His Prophet, they are already established just waiting for fulfillment. God will always proclaim what has been prepared but unseen to the eyes of men. He reveals His long time plans which seems outdated but He is committed to establishing it when He says it. Many believers, because of the present situation they are faced with, doubted when God informed them what He’s about to do.
Elisha was sent by God to speak to the King, that, at Samaria gate, there shall be surplus of food in the next 24 hours. This is what God has planned before the nation was established. God knows when and how to make everything possible for us. His time might look delayed but He’s working with when only Him can earn all the Glory. Then, a right hand man to the king doubted God through His prophet, and destruction was declared on Him. I think we need to know the authenticity of God’s word when He says it. Doubting it can bring destruction but the Word will still stand. The surplus came according to God’s work, the man saw it but was destroyed and couldn’t partake of it. It’s high time we foolishly believe every promises of God and remove doubt. We didn’t ask Him to promise us, He did by Himself and His name. Doubting Him can lead to destruction. Doubt less, for He is capable to do what He says.
Good day and God bless you.
