Topic: HANDLING DEPRESSION 2: Go To God First.
MEMORY VERSE:
Proverbs 24:10.
“10. If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
BIBLE READING:
1 Samuel 1:7-10.
“7. And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.
8. Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?
9. So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.
10. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.
Welcome to May, “OUR MONTH OF ESCAPE”. Evil targets against you are failing in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Today, our focus is “Going To God during Depression”, which is one of the hardest step to take during depression. Many feel neglected and forsaken by God when in depression. Some turn to look for man’s help, connection or diabolical means to escape from depression. Some even turn to suicide like Judas did but those are not the best way to handle depression, after identifying the source. Take it to God. When you go to God, you have full details of what to present to Him since you’re fully informed of the source.
That was what Hannah did. She knew the source of depression wasn’t Peninnah, so she presented her case to God directly, without mentioning Peninnah nor her reproach. She gave God a detail of her depression and the man of God, (after the misconception) gave a seal on her prayer and she left without sadness of heart.
When you present your depression to God what do you say? Are you focus and direct with your request or casting blames instead of speaking to God? Present your depression to God not your reproach, and He will attend to you.
Good Day And God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
