Topic: ELIJAH AND THE THREE CAPTAINS 4: Leaders Responsibility

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 75:7.
“7. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.”

BIBLE READING:
2 Kings 1:9-10
“9. Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.”
10. And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.”
Our focus today is “Leader’s Responsibility”. Leadership is a responsibility, leave it or take it. As a leader your decision has powerful impact over those you’re leading, either for good or bad, they are your responsibility. As a father, you are a leader, as first child, male or female, you are a leader. As a mother, yes, you’re a leader too. I always say this, everyone is a leader one way or the other, and It’s your responsibility to protect those you’re leading.
Those two captains couldn’t recognize they are responsible for the survival of those fifty Soldiers that follows them each. Their words to Elijah brought destruction on those they were leading. You need to know that, those lives that serves under you are your responsibility, you will give account for their lives. Every decision you make, you need to consider them and not be selfish on pleasing yourself alone. How responsible are you to those people you’re leading? Remember, as a leader, you’re accountable to the Divine Leader, so be responsible for their lives.
Good day and God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
