Week 43, Day 6:
Friday, 27th October, 2023.
TOPIC: Lessons from The Blind Bartimaeus. Don’t Mind The Noise (6)
MEMORY VERSE:
Ephesians 5:16
16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
BIBLE READING:
Mark 10:48-49.
“48. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.”
Welcome to this beautiful day that the Lord has made, may it be filled with testimony in Jesus name, amen.
Today as we move forward, i like to tell you, “Don’t mind the noise” like Blind Bartimaeus did. When he started shouting at the top of his voice, the crowd bid him to be quiet that the Master can’t hear him. Many saw his request as noise and irrelevant cry and hence discouraged him to be silent but the more they stopped him the more his shouted until Jesus sent for him. Do you know you have to keep praying and crying to God regardless of opposition, man’s talk and discouragement? God listens to persistent cry not just a cry. He said to Moses, i have heard the cry of my people, Exodus 3:7. How often do we persist with our request to God? How often are we discouraged when responses are not forth coming? Do you noticed from the verse, the same people silencing him were the same persons who said, “be of good cheer, the saviour is calling you”. Those who try discouraging you will still come to celebrate with you, if you will remain persistent. Keep asking and quit not for God is still busy with other cases until your cry reaches to Him to stand still, then it will be your turn. Don’t give in to the noise of men, keep crying to God.
Good Day and God bless you.
