TOPIC: LESSONS FROM HANNAH

Memory Verse: Heb. 13:8
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

Bible Reading: 1 Sam. 1:9-14
“9 So Hannah arose after they had finished  eating and drinking in Shiloh. Now Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the doorpost of the  tabernacle of the LORD. 10 And she  was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish. 11 Then she made a vow and said, “O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will  give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.” 12 And it happened, as she continued praying  before the LORD, that Eli watched her mouth. 13 Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips  moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk. 14 So Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from you!”
BE FOCUS
Hannah was a focus woman. She was determined to get her desire met by the Lord. Nothing was going to stand between her and her request. She went in to pray, prepared her mind against any distraction and the distraction was even from a man of God, Prophet Eli. While praying, the man of God was watching and concluded she was drunken.
Many might not know what you are going through. They might be saying alot about  your life, be focus on God and not on their opinion. Man can’t be trusted. They can stand by you now and stand against you some minute later. Eli was suppose to have known Hannah and her predicament on before then. He wasn’t suppose to rebuke Hannah the way he did. He called her a drunkard but Hannah was not ready for that, she was focus with her request.
Stop being carried away by people’s opinion about you. Remain standing with God as Hannah did. Yours might not be a pastor, may be your spouse, friends, parent or siblings, whoever or whatever the discouragement might be, remain focus with God. Your testimony will be announced in Jesus Mighty Name.
Have a Great Day ahead.
