TOPIC: LESSONS FROM HANNAH
Memory Verse: Heb. 13:8
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”
Bible Reading: 1 Sam. 1:12-17.
“12 And it happened, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli watched her mouth. 13 Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk. 14 So Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from you!” 15 But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. 16 Do not consider your maidservant a wicked woman, d for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now.” 17 Then Eli answered and said, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.”
MEN OF GOD ARE HUMAN
Being called “Man of God” or being called by God doesn’t mean He is a spirit or can’t commit error. First, He is human before being acknowledge / called a Man of God. They can’t be in the spirit 24/7, it’s not possible because they also have blood and water running through their veins. Many focus on the mistakes of Men of God and thereby misses their blessings. Many criticize God’s servant for revealing their human nature which should not be.
Hannah took her mind away from the way Prophet Eli approach her situation. Her response of detailed information to the Man of God perfected her request from God. Prophet Eli realises He was wrong and helped to seal up the request of Hannah. The same Servant of God who rebukes you, corrects you or even embarrassed you might still be the same vessel to bring about your establishment, don’t judge them according to their human nature. They are still vessel in the hand of the Lord. Understand their mistakes, accept their differences and be patience to receive your blessings from them like Hannah did. Don’t be led astray by their mistakes because, they are human.
Have a Great Day ahead.
