TOPIC: LET’S  INTERCEDE

Memory Verse: 1 Tim. 2:1
“1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.”

Bible Reading: Exo. 32:9-14
“9 And the LORD said to Moses, “I have  seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked  people! 10 Now therefore, let Me alone, that My  wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”  11 Then Moses pleaded with the LORD his God, and said: “LORD, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out  of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, ‘He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn  from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people. 13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’ ” 14 So the LORD relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people.”
INTERCEDE FOR YOUR FOLLOWERS
Many leaders this days hardly intercede for their followers. Most leaders only focuses on how their children will enjoy and continue with their successes. Leader of our days never desire their followers to take their place but to work for them and leave. When leaders intercede for their followers God is always happy to grant their request. Leaders with the heart of God seek for the progress of their followers.
Moses was given an open lifetime cheque to benefit all the promises of Israel, but as a leader, He turned it down and interceded for the children of Israel. He reminded God of all His miracle and protection towards the children of Israel. He reminded Him of His promises from ages past to the children of Israel until God harkened to His intercession. Moses would have thought of His children inheriting all the promises of Israel but He didn’t.
As a leader, do you intercede for the weaknesses of your followers or you laugh at them? Do you intercede on their behalf or find a replacement for them? How often do present their cases to God? When you prefer your children and relative to your followers you need to check on your leader role. Moses as a Great and Good leader, blesses the children of Israel when it was time for him to depart the world, Deut. 33:1-end. As a leader, intercede for those who God has assigned to be of help to your ministry, businesses and organisation. When you intercede for them that makes you a great leader in the making.
Lord, help me intercede for my workers as many as you’ve assigned to be of help to me in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
