TOPIC: OUR RESPONSIBILITY 7: TO OUR SUBORDINATE
Memory Verse: Roman 13:7
“7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.”
Bible Reading: Colo. 4:1
“1 Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.”
A responsible Master will be responsible to his servant or workers. Masters are to be honoured and respected, likewise, Masters are to respect their workers by fulfilling their promises. Masters are to treat their workers the way they want to be treated by God, it is your responsibility. Many masters has presented themselves as small god, unapproachable, fearful boss, authoritative leader which is not meant to be. Always remember, a Master has the same God as the workers. A Master was once a worker, servant or a subordinate. That you were maltreated as a subordinate is not a reason to maltreat others. Be a responsible leader/Master.
Every subordinate will be free and raised some day. Apostle Paul was saying, treat your workers, subordinate, staffs justly and fairly. Your responsibility to them should not be denied. Their payment, respect, freedom of expression, cordial relationship, these and more are your responsibility to them. The way you treat them determine the growth of your establishment. If Naaman has treated his slaves badly, His healing wouldn’t have become a reality, 2 Kings 5:3 & 13. Your responsibility determine their availability to your progress. Be responsible to your workers as this is one of God’s requirements from you
