Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 24 Day (2)Monday, 10th June, 2024.TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Example In Word (2)

TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Example In Word (2)

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Timothy 4:11.
“11. These things command and teach.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Timothy 4:12.
“12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, …”
Thinking Point:
Our words defines us beyond who we claim to be. Believer’s Words speaks volume.
This week, the works of your hand shall prosper, yield profit, bring increase to foot your bills and for your dream till accomplishment in Jesus Mighty, Name, Amen.
“…, But be thou an example of the believers, in word,”. In continuation of Apostle Paul’s word to Timothy and all believers, He specifically listed how to take our stand in order not to be despised. He made it known that, there are words that proofs we are believers. There should be difference in the words of believers and unbelievers. Our words should reflect Christ rather than the world. It should change from when we belong to the pattern of the world. We should taste our words before spilling it out to knew if it will build or break others. The weight and effect of our word should prove to others that, we are Christians, (believers of Christ).
If I may ask, how is our communication to other believers, does it portray us as believers? Can’t the word make others despise us and God in us? As believers, can other believers imitate our words and still make it to heaven? What about the words we speak In our homes, how does it reflect who we are to our children and spouse, a believer or an unbeliever? Apostle Paul’s word was to the believers first before unbelievers. Our words as believers should be what other believers emulate not the words that brings confusion in Christianity. “Be thou an example of the believers, in word, …”, We need to show an example to all believers that we are one and united in our words.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 24 Day (1) Sunday, 9th June, 2024. TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Self Esteem (1)

TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Self Esteem (1)

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Timothy 4:11.
“11. These things command and teach.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Timothy 4:-12.
“12. Let no man despise thy youth;…”
Thinking Point:
Self Esteem is different from pride and low self esteem. Self Esteem is knowing who you are, what you are capable of but not glorying over it.
This week, keep reminding God that uncompleted dreams, work towards it and God will give you breakthrough in Jesus name, Amen.
This week we shall focus on the works of Apostle Paul to Timothy, his beloved spiritual son. Timothy was a young servant who was assigned to shepherd the flock of God who are younger and older than him. The congregation included widows, fathers, mothers, youth and children and it was expected of him to relate with them all regardless of his age and knowledge but by the Holy Spirit. Same instructions we all need in our daily endeavours. Today, we shall focus on Apostle Paul’s word which says, “Let no man despise thy youth;…”. Reading through this word in the Bible, there may be a lot of meaning attached by different believers. This message was directed to Timothy not to loose His leadership responsibility because of his age to those he was leading. It was expected of him to relate with the congregation with the ability of God in him and not by his age. Apostle Paul wasn’t talking about pride, arrogance or being unteachable like many leaders we have in and out of the church today. “Let no man despise thy youth;…” talks about humility, self esteem, self confidence in what you are called to do. It doesn’t mean you should boss it over those you are leading either younger or older than you do. It’s not a criteria to take advantage of others, make others inferior or kill their self esteem, No. Not for you to become unapproachable but to respectfully make use of your calling, gifts and talents to unite your followers.
Let no one look down on you isn’t a reason to look down on your spouse because you have an advantage over him or her or your pastor because of his or her age. Yes, you being wealthy isn’t the reason to look down on those who depend on you. But let no one see you as a nobody, who isn’t fit for what you have been called to do. Show the proof of what you’re assigned to do, that’s what Paul meant, not to be proud and use your power over others. “Let no man despise thy youth, means earn the respect of others through diligence in what you do. This is one of the instructions of Apostle Paul to Timothy then which is applicable to you and I today.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: FATHER, LEAD ME BACK TO YOU: Go Back To Him (7)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 51:11-12
“11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”
“12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 19:15-16.
“15. And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:”
“16. And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.”
Thinking Point:
Nothing is as wasteful as poor time management and fruitless labour. When God leads, there’s no wastage.”
Today, it’s my prayer that every wasted time, resources, effort and seasons will be restore back in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Elijah travelled on foot for forty days and forty night, and was told to go back to where he came from, that’s another forty days and forty night journey, why? All because he put God aside before the journey. That journey of yours wouldn’t have been so tedious if you had involved God. If you have controlled that fear you would have gotten to your location long enough. Now, you have to go back the same way you came but this time around not for full resources. Elijah was to go back to anoint his replacement for not involving God initially. Oh, you are thinking of the shame of going back?
I once heard a true life story of a lady who went to a night club for the first time some days to her engagement and ended up getting drunk and was impregnated. She never knew until the day of engagement when her in-law observed that she was pregnant and the engagement was cut off. Sixteen years later they got marriage again, why? Since they went their separate ways, their lives were frustrating. What they would have settled and moved on took them sixteen wasted year before they came l together. Don’t be afraid to turn back. No amount of wrong steps can lead you back to the right step until you turn back. Go back to your call. Go back to that assignment, that marriage, that work you left due to pride and arrogance, it’s time to humble yourself and go back. God is saying go back to where you came from and put things right. Where and what do you need to work on? Forty days into the wildernesses wasn’t a small journey but it worth going back.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: FATHER, LEAD ME BACK TO YOU: What Are You Doing Here? 2 (6)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 51:11-12
“11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”
“12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 19:11-13.
“11. And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:”
“12. And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: AND AFTER THE FIRE A STILL SMALL VOICE.”
“13. And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, WHAT DOEST THOU HERE, ELIJAH?”
Thinking Point:
Nothing is as good as a sensitive heart to God’s voice, we need to be sensitive to understand God’s mind.
This month our ears and heart will be open to hear and understand God’s mind concerning us in Jesus name, Amen.
When God made up His mind concerning a situation He speaks more than once for clarification. When He was to bring famine upon the land of Egypt, he revealed the same dream to the king twice with the same meaning. In Elijah’s case, God had to proof himself through a strong wind, earthquake, fire and then a still small voice before Elijah could recognize God’s presence. Many times God has spoken to us in diverse ways but we choose not to respond to Him. We lack the sensitivity to recognise the tone of His voice and mind concerning the situations around us. When God speaks through His servants, we criticize them. He speak through our parent, we disobey them. Through our friends, we wave it away, is it until He gets our attentions through calamity? I pray that will not be our portion in Jesus name, Amen
Elijah still proved his righteousness despite the Lord showing him His might. At the end God still came up with the same question, “WHAT DOEST THOU HERE, ELIJAH?”
This question is coming the second time, “what are you doing in that ministry when you know where you are assigned to serve? What are you doing in that office when God called you into ministry work? What’s your purpose where you are presently? It’s time to
Identify your location before He forcefully relocate you brethren. Listen to the still small voice from within and find your calling. You don’t need to seek for powers to assist the works of God or side chicks to enjoy your marriage. It’s time to turn back to your position. What are you doing here after that long Journey?
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: FATHER, LEAD ME BACK TO YOU: What Are You Doing Here? (5)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 51:11-12
“11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”
“12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 19:8-9.
“8. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.”
“9. And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?”
Thinking Point:
It’s very important for believers to know where we ought to be according to God’s plans for our lives.
I pray for everyone this morning, we will not miss our rightful place in Jesus name. May we locate our rightful position and possess it by the power in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Recap of our study this week. Jezebel threatened Elijah and he fled for fear of a woman. Left his servant who could have reminded him of the God he serve. While running away, The Angel of the Lord fed him twice which signifies favour and provision from God. Now, forty days after God was asking him, “What are you doing here? Who sent you to this place? Is this where I placed you? What’s your mission here? Who is in charge of the flock you are to shepherd? The same question to someone out there, God is asking, The family you left behind who is taking care of them? That woman and children you left behind to be with that mysterious woman who is fathering them? The marriage you left, separated and divorced from, are you through with your assignment over there? God is asking everyone this morning, “What are you doing here now, did I send you to minister in the cave? That ministry you left behind, are you through with your calling over there? Like Hagar, who told you to leave where you are assigned to be? What are you doing where you are right now?
This morning, this message is for all to answer. Where are we regardless of the enjoyment, finances, breakthrough and love we think we are enjoying? God is asking us, is that our placement? I know you have an answer like Elijah did, he said to God?
“10. And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.” 1 Kings 19:10.
May i tell you today that your complaint doesn’t move God. The reason you left was because you never consulted God, and if you did, you didn’t listen to hear what He would say, and lastly if you did heard Him, you never followed what He instructed you to do. Where are you? Where are mine? That’s God’s question to us all that needs an answer.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: FATHER, LEAD ME BACK TO YOU: God Still Cares In Our Waywardness (4)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 51:11-12
“11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”
“12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 19:5-8.
“5. And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.”
“6. And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.”
“7. And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.”
“8. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.”
Thinking Point:
God is meeting our needs isn’t a prove that we are on the right side of His will. Be watchful.
May we not take God’s grace over our life as a prove to keep disobeying Him in Jesus name, Amen.
Many Christians, including men of God thinks, the grace to teach, preach and perform signs and wonders is a proof of being in God’s will for their lives. Many has left God behind but still operate in the gift of God over there lives, not remember His calling and gift are without repentance. Many leaders in the household of faith thinks God isn’t affected by their ways of lives that’s way they enjoy the grace to minister effectively and people still falls under the anointing while in sin. Sir’s and Ma’s, God isn’t happy with you, He is taking time to see if you will take the right step and walk back to Him. If you know you are on the path not according to God’s leading, please it’s time to turn back to Him.
Elijah was fed by angel twice, that would have been a prove that God was with him and supported his desire to run from Jezebal but that was a big NO. Every situation that presented itself before the children of God is an opportunity to showcase God not to disappoint Him. That situation can’t be bigger and stronger than God. Don’t be carried away by the miracle, and signs and wonders you’re receiving, always check yourself if you are still with the Lord. Don’t be over confident, check your heart and be sure you are still walking in His will for your life. Elijah thought he was still pleasing God not knowing he left God behind since.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 23 Day (3)Tuesday, 4th June, 2024.TOPIC: FATHER, LEAD ME BACK TO YOU: Wrong Decision Leads To Wrong Conclusion (3)

TOPIC: FATHER, LEAD ME BACK TO YOU: Wrong Decision Leads To Wrong Conclusion (3)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 51:11-12
“11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”
“12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 19:4.
“4. But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.”
Thinking Point:
When you’re moving in the wrong path there’s tendency to make wrong conclusion about yourself and life.
This Month of completion shall serve you better concerning those life dreams and visions in Jesus Name, Amen.
As we move on with our study on Prophet Elijah, I want us to know that, no one is immune to loosing focus or being carried away by present situation. Anyone can be drawn away from God by one thing or the other but the most important thing is that, we learn from other’s experience and apply it so we can be restored back before it’s too late. Prophet Elijah’s wrong decision made him think he is not better than his fathers. He concluded that God should end his life forgetting what God has wroth through him in time past. May I ask you, were his fathers better than him? No, because we never heard of his father and the prophets before him didn’t performed the Miracles he did in his days but because he plight the wrong path he made a wrong conclusion about himself.
Brethren, you are not that worse as you’re thinking. Despite walking away from God, you are still special and very much important to Him and His work. Those conclusion about you were made when you left the Lord’s presence and walked with the wrong company. Other people’s conclusion that made you quit your path was a result of leaving your duty post. All you need do is to go back to where you are assigned. Go back to that marriage like the angel told Hagar in Genesis 16:9. Return to that boss or parent of yours like the prodigal son in Luke 15:18. Before you conclude about you life, search if you’re still in God’s plan for your life. In His plan, you have a brighter future, out of His plan ends in wrong conclusion about one’s life. Trace your path back to God, He still have a better plans for you.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: FATHER, LEAD ME BACK TO YOU: Don’t Leave Him/Her Behind (2).

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 51:11-12
“11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”
“12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 19:3
“3. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.”
Thinking Point:
Retain those who can influence your life positively during challenging period.
Every uncompleted project of your life, this month, God will perfect them and give you peace of mind in Jesus name, Amen.
Yesterday we saw how Elijah fled Samaria for the fear of Jezebel’s threat. He forgot the God that was with him and ran for his life. Where was the authority he has? He forgot about it and escaped for his life, may we not run and leave God behind in Jesus name, Amen. Today, I want to also encourage us that, no matter the situations around us, no matter the voices threatening us, both physical and spiritual, retain those who will always remind you of who you are, those who can remind you of the ability you possess, people that can encourage and lift your spirit up. Elijah ran from Samaria, got to Beersheba in Judah and left “His servant” who would have reminded him that Jezebel was just a woman who can’t stand against his God. He deceived his servant to wait for him and then continued his journey to an unknown destination.
Many of us think that our spouse, children, parents or old friends is the reason why we’re going through those situations whereby we are not ready to face our fears. If you will loose anyone, don’t let it be those who knows your ability or what you’re capable of. Those who can revive your Spirit from weariness, don’t let go of such persons, that servant of yours can be the instrument to rekindle that fire in you. Identify who to do away with in challenging time and retain those who will always encourage you. Elijah would have been restored back to God before going too far. It’s time to reach out to those who know you better, don’t let go of them no matter the challenge around your life.

TOPIC: FATHER, LEAD ME BACK TO YOU: Stop Belittling God.

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 51:11-12
“11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”
“12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 19:1-3
“1. And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.”
“2. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.”
“3. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.”
Thinking Point:
Our walk with God should be intimate and consistent not partial (only when we need Him).
Every voice around your life, sending you away from your rightful position, by the power in the name of Jesus, such voice seize from now in Jesus Name, Amen.
I welcome you to these new series in Jesus name. We shall be taking some lessons from the life of the man that stood with God and we will be applying them to our lives and I pray that the eyes of our understanding be enlightened to behold what the Lord is revealing to us in Jesus name, Amen.
In the last chapter, Chapter 18, Elijah was able to end the lives of 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of the groves who feed under Jezebel, the queen of Ahab. In our chapter when Jezebel heard of what Elijah did, she sent a messenger to him with this words, “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.” and after the message, Elijah fled from Samaria and ran for his life. If I may ask, why was he running? Where was he going? The answer is very simple, Elijah was afraid of Jezebel. Was jezebel stronger than him? No. Was Elijah still anointed? Yes. Then ‘why was he running?’ He responded to stimulus, Fear of Jezebel neutralized the power of the anointing in him at that moment.
Brethren, how often do we run from what is not up to us? How often are we afraid of situations under our control? How often do we give in to fear of the unknown and limiting the God inside of us? Most times we finish prayers and fasting and still go around with the fear of what we have prayed against. We belittle the God inside of us because of threat? Elijah would say, “Before the God whom I stand” where was that God at that moment? He was there but Elijah turned away from Him and fled. Stop rating the situation above the power of God. The ten spices said in Numbers 13:33,
“33. … and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.”
You are more powerful than that threat, just turn to God and hand over the situation and see what the Lord will do. Face the threat, decree what God says about you and what you will do to the threat. Let there be a holy anger from the angle of God because He is with you. Stop belittling God.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 22 Day (7) Saturday, 1st June 2024 TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: Obedient To God Is Better Than Sacrifice (14)

TOPIC: SACRIFICE: What To Know About Sacrifice: Obedient To God Is Better Than Sacrifice (14)

MEMORY VERSE:
Hebrews 13:15-16.
“15. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
“16. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Samuel 15:22.
“22. And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.”
Thinking Point:
Above Sacrifice Is Obedient. No amount of Sacrifice can take the place of Obeying God, Always Listen To His Instructions.
Happy New Month. Welcome To the month of June, it shall be our month of Completion in Jesus Name, Amen.
The last thing to know about Sacrifice is that, Our Sacrifice can’t take the place of obedience to God’s instructions. Every sacrifice should be according to God’s instructions. You can’t be a disobedient child to God and offer Him sacrifice, it can’t be acceptable. God’s instructions can’t be bribed out or replaced with sacrifice, No. God frowns at stealing, cheating and killing, etc if that is your habit, your sacrifice can’t entice Him. If you are that spouse known for frustrating your partner, your sacrifices can’t be a sweet aroma to God, it’s a waste of resources. When you use your body, mouth and your life in a displeasing manner your offering, tithe, dance, singing, even giving of any type is a waste, it can’t replace being obedient to His principles and ways. Where do you belong this morning?
King Saul was sent to destroy the Amalekite including human and animal but he chose to keep the fat and robust flocks claiming they are for sacrifice to God. God doesn’t care about sacrifice like obeying His word. He wants sacrifice but He also wants us to obey His words first. When God demands a sacrifice from you and you replace it with something else, that is disobedience not sacrifice. When your sacrifice is made to impress people, it’s disobedience not sacrifice anymore, Matthews 6:1-4. The sacrifice of Saul became a reproach to God that he sent Prophet Samuel to him immediately. How can you sacrifice an animal that God has marked for destruction? Are we not doing the same? Are we not depriving others of their earnings and still pay the tithe and bring special offerings to God? Brethren, it’s time to know what God wants from us and give it to Him. To be obedient is better than thousands of sacrifices. What you give Him is not as important as what He requested of you. “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.”
Good Day and God bless you.
