Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 25, Day 5: Thursday, 20th June 2024. TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 5: Yielding Your Mind?

TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 5: Yielding Your Mind?

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 6:16.
“16. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

BIBLE READING:
Romans 12:2
“2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Thinking Point:
The seat of God in man is the Mind. When the seat is not sanctify, He can’t abode in such Mind.
Yielding to either God or devil has it’s origin from the mind. The mind is the foundation of every occurrences we see happening around us today. What goes on in the mind determines what happens in the physical. Who and what you yield your heart to determines who and what controls it. Our thoughts, imagination, and reasoning all springs up from the Mind. So, who controls the mind determines the product of the mind.
Apostle Paul said we should not be conformed to this world, you may want to ask, but we are in the world? Yes, we are, but we are not to think like them. A referee is on the pitch of play with other footballers but with a different mindset. What the players considers fair play is different from what he sees as fair play. He is on the pitch but thinks differently from them. That is how it is when a mind is yielded to God. We are to separate our minds from the ways of the world. Our mind must be guided by the things of God and not of the world. Yielding our minds to God makes us walk and live like the god we are created to be. When we think the way the world thinks, we become what the world becomes; evil, heartless, wicked, greedy and selfish. To yield your mind to God you need to guide your sight, ears and heart because those are the entrance to your mind. Guide them jealously.
Good Day and God Bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 25, Day 4: Wednesday, 19th June 2024. TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 4: Yielding In Resources?

TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 4: Yielding In Resources?

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 6:16.
“16. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

BIBLE READING:
Deuteronomy 8:17-18
“17. And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.”
“18. But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
Thinking Point:
Whatever you own, is given to you by God, make sure not to withhold it from Him so He won’t withdraw all from you.
This Day shall open you up to new opportunities beyond your expectations in Jesus name, be sensitive.
Humans are made by God no matter who we are and whatever we possess. We are all created, sent to mother earth to fulfill a predestined purpose. Yielding to God is what brings the fulfillment of those purpose. Little did we know that we can’t secure our lives without the help of the Almighty. So, no matter who we are, we are made so by God.
God was speaking to the Israelites, reminding them not to forget all He did to make them great. He declared that, “He is the reason for them making wealth and becoming great”, so it will be too foolish for them to say, “The power of their hands has made them great”. Likewise, no matter our levels in life we are to yield our resources to God who made them available because we are who we are by the grace of God upon our lives. All those wealth are given by God to fulfil His purpose over our lives. We’re to use our resources to better the world no matter how great or small the resources. Apostle Paul was speaking in his letter to the Corinthians ,
“For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? ” 1 Corinthians 4:7
We are a product of God with our resources, we earned those resources because He purpose it to be. So, we’re to surrender to Him and not withhold it from Him. Using our resources to make lives better is yielding to God our maker because He made us who we are and blesses us with what we have.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 25, Day 3: Tuesday, 18th June 2024. TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 3: Yielding In Marriage

TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 3: Yielding In Marriage

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 6:16.
“16. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

BIBLE READING:
Ephesians 5:21-22, 25
“21. Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”
“23. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.”
“25. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;”
Thinking Point:
Not yielding to the principles that guides marriage is the reason for separation and divorce in the world today.
Yielding to God goes beyond what we do in church. It spans through every facet of our lives. As couples, we’re not to be an angel in the house of God and a lion in our marriages. The way you live in your marriage – secretly and openly – clearly defines who you are yielding to.
There are principles meant to guide marriages. Apostle Paul, speaking to the Ephesians says,
“Couples Should Submit To One Another”.
This is the first principle of marriage. Couple should honour and submit to one another, it’s not a one sided principle. A home that’s control by God is not authoritatively built but jointly built on the principles of God. He continued by saying,
“Wife, submit to your husband… And Husband love their wife…” Without any condition attached. You’re not to submit to your husband because of wealth, age difference, or perfection. You’re not to love your wife because she’s better and beautiful than other women outside there, you’re to love and submit to one another unconditionally.
This is one of the proofs of yielding to God. Not absents of weaknesses but knowing how to handle it and forging ahead.
Is your home yielding to God or the devil? Can you be proud to give a full details of the happenings in your home as a testimony? Yielding your home to God is joint responsibility in marriage. No man or woman exist without weakness, but yielding to the God through the Holy Spirit is what makes a beautiful and happy marriage, not wealth or authoritarian behaviours. If you are willing to yield your home to God as a woman, be submissive, do what builds your home willingly not by nagging and complaining. If your home will be an example to other believers and unbelievers as a man, Love your wife in absentia and always, love covers all weaknesses. If there’s any situations against your home jointly find time to speak to God, it’s a sign of a yielded Home to God. All divorced and separated homes today are not signs that God doesn’t ordained them, many are caused by lack of yielding their homes to God and marriage principles. Surrender your marriage to God and your home will be the best place on earth.
Good Day and God Bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 25, Day 2: Monday, 17th June 2024. TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 1: God or The Devil?

TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 1: God or The Devil?

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 6:16.
“16. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

BIBLE READING:
Romans 6:16-17.
“16. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
“17. But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.”
Thinking Point:
Yielding is a choice made knowingly and unknowingly. What you do determines who you yield to.
Beloved, it’s a wonderful week for us all in Jesus Mighty, Amen. This week, our focus will be, “Yielding To God”. To who do you belong? Whose Will do you run after? What guides your decisions and who do you submit to? This and many more will be discuss this week, may God give us entrance to His word in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
We can only yield to a power and authority. We can’t be in between, it’s either we are for God or devil and this can be identified by who we obey, listen to and try to please. Jesus speaking in the Matthew 6:24, said,
“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”
I like us to search ourselves this day, who do we love and who do we hate, God or the devil? Being in the church doesn’t implies who you yield to, it can only be determined by what you do. My question today is, Who are you yielding to? What determines your decision?
Good Day and God Bless you.

TOPIC: FATHER’S DAY: HAPPY FATHER’S DAY

MEMORY VERSE:
Genesis 2:15-16.
“15. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”
“16. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:”

BIBLE READING:
Ephesians 5:25.
“25. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;”
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
We dedicate today to all Father’s on our platform and pray with them, that the role of a Father figure will never depart their lives in Jesus Name, Amen.
Who is a Father?
A Father is a source, an umbrella, a provider, a watch man and a way maker. A Fatherly role isn’t just about children, it begins from being a father to his wife(help mate) to fathering children. Fatherhood is biological and a responsibility. Not all that has child(ren) are completely a father. In the world of ours today many fathers are baby maker not children caretaker.
A Father is the;
Priest of His house.
Role model of his home.
The leader of the home.
He is a lover of His wife, and His children.
He is a disciplinary
He provides and care for His home.
Above all, He is a listener.
Responsibility of a Father:
1. To keep His garden, (Home, family) meet the present need in his garden, (Provider), Gen. 2:15-16.
2. To Love his wife as Christ loves the Church, Eph. 5:25, Colo. 3:19.
3. Not defraud His wife his conjugal right as a husband, 1 Corinth. 7:3-5.
4. To train his children in the way of the Lord, Gen. 18:19, Colo. 3:21, Eph, 6:1-4
What does Fathers need?
1. Support and encouragement from his Help mate, Gen. 2:18
2. Respect and Submission from His wife, Eph. 5:22-24, Colo. 3:18
3. Conjugal right when needed and when due, 1 Corinth. 7:3-5.
4. Obedience from children, Colo. 3:20.
5. Prayers against temptation, Matth. 6:13.
6. Patience and Rest of mind, Prov. 21:19, 31:10.
Do you have a Father around you today? Please do try to celebrate Him(them), for today is their day. They have many things going on within unrevealed. Encourage a father today by putting a smile on their faces. Mummys, no fault findings today, take father’s out. Children make your father happy today, it’s their day, and God bless you all, Amen.
Happy Father’s Day.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 24 Day (7) Saturday, 15th June, 2024. TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Example In PURITY (7)

TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Example In PURITY (7)

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Timothy 4:11.
“11. These things command and teach.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Timothy 4:12
“12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in PURITY.
Thinking Point:
“Remember, without Holiness, no one can see the Lord” Hebrews 12:14.
What we thought we have lost will be restore to us in full in Jesus mighty name, Amen
The last but not the least on what Believers should possess is Purity – Holiness.
Psalms 24:3-4.
“3. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?”
“4. He that hath CLEAN HANDS, AND A PURE HEART; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”
Ascending the Hills, the presence of the Lord, purity is another criteria because the eyes of the Lord cannot behold iniquity. Believers that will be an example to the world must be a purified believer, who is presentable before God. When you are not holy you can’t speak to the unholy about Holiness. Your holiness is enough to win soul for Christ without long sermon. A purified life motivates others to imitate and follow you to your God. Remember, for the unbelievers not to despise us, Holiness must be in place. Holiness from within and without, in words, thought and action. We can’t prove to be holy when our ways are crooked. We can’t prove to be holy when the words of our mouth are unholy.
As we round up today, which area do we need to work on ourselves? What do we need to improve on? I want to believe none is without a fault in all these areas. I’m not accusing anyone, i’m only saying we need to improve in our walk with Christ. We shouldn’t be to comfortable with how we are when we can go farther than where we are. I pray for everyone today, wherever we are lagging, the Holy Spirit will work on us in Jesus name, we will become a better believer to win souls to Christ in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Example In Faith (6)

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Timothy 4:11.
“11. These things command and teach.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Timothy 4:12.
“12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, conversation, in charity, in spirit, in FAITH…”
Thinking Point:
Faith is the mind set; heart reasoning to connect and walk with God. Without Faith, God is not accessible.
Today, being the last working day of the week, God will make us smile before the day runs out in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
The difference between a believer and an unbeliever is Faith that God exist, that He has a Son called Jesus, the HOLY SPiRIT is the trinity. Having this in mind, makes you walk freely that you serve a God who is all encompassing. Your believe that Jesus came, died and resurrected makes you a believer, which in turns repel others to believe the faith you and I have. This same faith is what gives us access to God, according to Hebrews, “… For without faith, it is impossible to see God.” Hebrews 11:6.
As Christians we are called to live by faith in order to show others that Jesus is the son of God and the access to God. Our confession of Faith should go beyond words to the level of healing the sick, raising the dead and bringing glory to God. Our faith in God should be seen in the face of trials and tribulations, rejection and opposition. We are to live as an example with our faith, not just in words but also in act. Our walk in Faith with God reveals Him the more to the unbelieving world around us. Are we living by example with our Faith?

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 24 Day (5)Thursday, 13th June, 2024.TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Example In SPIRIT (5)

TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Example In SPIRIT (5)

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Timothy 4:11.
“11. These things command and teach.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Timothy 4:12.
“12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, conversation, in charity, in SPIRIT…”
Thinking Point:
The life of a believer should not be lived in carnality but living in and by the spirit of God.
May the Spirit of God,as at the creation, move over our life to achieve what we are created for in Jesus name, Amen.
To be called a believer is to be called the “Son of God”, and without the spirit of God, we can’t be a genuine believer. To live in the spirit simply means being led by the spirit of God. The spirit of God is the reason for easiness for believers, a good example of a believer is one who is led by the spirit in all ways.
Apostle Paul said in Romans 8:13-14,
“13. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.”
“14. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
Believers who still live by the flesh aren’t an example to the world, we are to mortify the flesh, subdue the flesh to live by the Spirit of God, then can we be led and live in spirit in order to be an example to the world. Have we surrendered to the Spirit of God wholly? Do we live by the spirit? Then, can we be called an example of the believer who lives in the Spirit? To win others to Christ we have to be obedient to the spirit at all times. I pray today, that grace to submit totally to the leading of the spirit rest upon us all in Jesus name, Amen.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 24 Day (4) Wednesday, 12th June, 2024. TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Example In LOVE (4)

TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Example In LOVE (4)

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Timothy 4:11.
“11. These things command and teach.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Timothy 4:12.
“12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, conversation, in CHARITY…”
Thinking Point:
The core attribute of a believer is Charity – LOVE, without love every other attributes can’t attract God.
Those ordained to do us good will remember us, locate us, and release those favour this week in Jesus name, Amen.
Let us read these verses together,
1 Corinthians 13:1-4
“1. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.”
“2. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.”
“3. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.”
“4. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,”
Without Christ in us this love cannot exist in human. These are the result of love that a believer should possess. Jesus our Lord summarised all the laws in to two when he said in, Mark 12:29-31,
“29. And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:”
“30. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.”
“31. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”
Without love, then no proof as a believer. Until we show love that’s when the difference will be noticed. Love conquers all things according to the word of the Lord. Therefore, we believers should be an example by showing love even to our enemies. Love is the greatest of all virtue. Are we loving as God wants us to love? Can unbelievers experience our love?

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 24 Day (3)Tuesday, 11th June, 2024.TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Example In CONVERSATION (3)

TOPIC: LIVING AS A BELIEVER: Example In CONVERSATION (3)

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Timothy 4:11.
“11. These things command and teach.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Timothy 4:12.
“12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, CONVERSATION…”
Thinking Point:
Our discussion in public should easily define the circle we belong as believers, not until we mention the name of Jesus.
May the strength, wisdom and grace to function rightly today rest upon us all in Jesus wonderful name, Amen.
“But be thou an example of the believers, in word, CONVERSATION…”. We discussed about words among believers reflecting Jesus, it shouldn’t end in our circle, we are to spread it to the unbelieving world, in our discussions at home and especially out of church. Our conversations should easily inform others the circle we belong. Our words at the market place should make people call us believers. It’s a pity today, in the name of wisdom, that many believer’s conversation is against Christ’s kingdom, speaking against ministers and the church of Christ while they claim to be believers. Your conversation out there should have a lot of impart on the unbelievers hearing you not discouraging them the more.
When our conversation weakens, discourage and disgust others, we’re not showing an example of believers. When unbelievers can’t call us with an assurance of words of wisdom or comfort, we are not showing a good example. When we are being avoided because our conversation doesn’t give strength, hope or solution, then we aren’t potraying the believer that Jesus died for.
Apostle Peter said,
1 Peter 1:15
“But as he which hath called you is holy, So Be Ye Holy In All Manner Of Conversation;”
Our conversation should reflect holiness, purity, encouragement and strength to others, with these, unbelievers can be attracted to serving your God because the aim of being an example of believers is to draw men to God. Our discussions need to give salt to other’s life not bitterness.
