TOPIC: CELEBRATING GOD’S FAITHFULNESS: A Good Ending.

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 136:1.
“1. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

BIBLE READING:
Psalms 146:1-2.
“1. Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.”
“2. While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.”
Thinking Point:
If God has done nothing for you this year, seeing this moment is a great deal of the Lord.
Thank God it’s the end of the first half of the year, six month gone and we are still alive rightful in our position and right senses, this can’t be measured, it’s the faithfulness of the Lord and unquantifiable. It’s the biggest reason to celebrate the Lord today. Many are willing and praying to be here today but couldn’t made it. It’s not by power nor by might but by the spirit of the living God, he deserves our appreciation this morning. God has been good no matter the situation we find ourselves presently, because a living dog is better than a dead lion. The living do have hopes while the dead have no expectations on earth, give Him thanks.
King David said in our Bible reading for today, “while I live i will praise God, I will sing unto Him while I have my being”. He has not done some things doesn’t define Him unfaithful. Your responses are still hanging doesn’t make Him a wicked God. What If He answered your requests and it claimed your life, will you be here today? God isn’t wicked to cause delay of our request, He’s only working all things together for our good, He deserves our praises this day. Being alive till this moment isn’t by our contribution or right but His privilege. It’s time to go into His sanctuary and give Him our best praise today as we start the journey of the second half of the year. No blaming games today but appreciation. God has been faithful.
Good Day and God Bless you.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS: Involves Hard Work (7)

MEMORY VERSE: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

BIBLE READING:
Gen. 26:12-14
“12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him.”
“13. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;”
“14. for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.”
Thinking Point:
For every instructions from God, man’s contribution is involve through Hard work.
God discourages idleness. Following God’s instructions doesn’t mean you sit and fold your hands without using your brain. God gave us brain to think and reason, and effect changes. If you will hear me right, God does speaks and instruct us through our thinking. God won’t instruct you on what to do 100%, No, He gave us our reasoning faculty to move in line with His instructions.
No where was it find in the Bible that, God instructed Isaac to farm or dig wells, but His reasoning, which was guided by God’s instructions, led him into doing all these. God doesn’t bless nothing, He blesses something. Sitting down, waiting for the next instructions is not spiritual. Putting your brain to work every moment is a yawning for God’s instruction. Stop being lazy, God doesn’t have interest in lazy people.
Colo. 4:23-24
“23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for ye serve the Lord Christ.”
Philippians 4:8
“8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
Think right on what to do, don’t just sit down waiting for God. He gave you brain to ease Himself (… ye are god) .
Oh Lord, open my eyes and understanding to see what to apply my brain towards in bringing to past your purpose over my life, in Jesus Precious Name I pray, Amen.
Good Day and God Bless you.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS: DIVINE LIBERTY (6)

MEMORY VERSE: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

BIBLE READING:
Gen. 26:32-33
“32 It came to pass the same day that Isaac’s servants came and told him about the well which they had dug, and said to him, “We have found water.”
“33. So he called it Shebah. Therefore the name of the city is Beersheba to this day.”
Thinking Point:
As long as we follow God’s Instructions, we will always experience the confirmation of His presence around us.
Continuous success and achievement is in God. Remember, no one knows you like the one who created you, you can’t be a mis-use in His hands. So when He is instructing you, it’s in the best interest of your expected end, a flourishing place and a settled destination. God will not call anyone to shame and lack, He will always call us to glorification, though, not instant, but in the process of time, and this process is in continuous listening to His directives – Instructions.
Isaac was permanently established after the King and his friends came to make an oath of peace with him. God gave him a sign of divine liberty with the news of a new well with water. May I tell you this morning, that God is not just planning of making a room for us, He is planing to enlarge and establish us. He is ready to make us great, stabilize and liberate us.
How instructive are we? Do we always listen to His instruction or see the negative side of his instructions? Are we really ready for He’s leading? Seek for the next instructions to carry out. He is ready to lead as many as are ready to listen and follow His instructions.
Father, i’m available, speak to me, I need your instructions, direct me rightly, in Jesus Mighty Name have I prayed, Amen.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS: ATTRACT STRIVE (5)

MEMORY VERSE: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

 BIBLE READING:
Gen. 26:18-21
“18. And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham. He called them by the names which his father had called them.”
“19. Also Isaac’s servants dug in the valley, and found a well of running water there.”
“20. But the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek, because they quarreled with him.”
“21. Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that one also. So he called its name Sitnah.”
Thinking Point:
Strive are signs that we are with God and obeying His instructions. Many will strive with you because you are better than they are.
For everyone that obey God and follow His instruction duly, you may have to experience strive from people. God always makes His favorites fearful to their enemies or contemporaries. He instructs them to become great as long as they are ready to fully obey. Every great man in the Bible today read about are men who follow God’s instruction diligently and they all experience strive. Daniel experience strive from other governors during his time in Daniel 6. The Three Hebrews encountered strives with the King and men of Babylon, Daniel 3. When you are ready to fully obey God’s instructions, you are heading for strive.
The King couldn’t contain Isaac again. He told Isaac, “you are too much for us, please give us some space,” Gen. 26:17. The people of the land stood against Isaac even when He went to the valley of Gerar. When you are guided by God’s instructions you have agreed to enjoy strive. So, stop complaining because, you can’t be left alone but be rest assured that the Lord is with you even in all those strives around.
Father, uphold me in the midst of strives from all men. Make me victorious, come what may in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Good Day and God Bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 26, Day 4: Wednesday, 26th June 2024. TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS: BRINGS ENVY (4)

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS: BRINGS ENVY (4)

MEMORY VERSE: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

BIBLE READING:
Gen. 26:13-14
“13. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;”
“14. for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.”
Thinking Point:
Those who follow instructions becomes envied by those who don’t.
Envy, an evil seed and a bad attitude. It makes one feel insecure. Those who envy you see you as an enemy and try to do all they can to inconvenience you. To me, to be envied is a sign of God’s goodness upon one’s life. It’s a sign you serve a God that answers your request. It’s a reward for doing God’s will day in day out. Anyone who Envies you is always lacking something you have in abundance. Envy is traceable to jealousy. Envy simply means, “you are better than me and am angry with you.” ” You have what I’m lacking and am not happy .” That’s all.
Isaac was following God’s instructions regardless of the situations on ground. He would have changed his mind when the famine became severe but he stayed and sowed in the land, meaning, he worked, invested his time into farming and God blessed him in hundred folds, then, envy began. He became the richest man in Gerar. He was so famous that they fought his herdsmen often. Envy was a sign that God was really working with him for he obeyed Him totally.
Are you being envied? You don’t need to fight back, because you already asked for it. When you follow God’s instructions He will bless you, guide you and make you the talk of the city, then, envy follows.
Are you envying others because they are better than you? You are about to see their God fighting you. The God they obey and follow dully is the reason for their greatness. Do you want to be envied? Follow the instructions of God and He will make you a product of envy. To be envy simply means, God has bless you.
Father, Help me follow your instructions as they come. I want to be envied by those who sees me as a fool for following you. Make me a sign of your blessings to others, in Jesus Precious Name I pray, Amen.
Good Day and God Bless you.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS: Brings Victory (3)

MEMORY VERSE: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

BIBLE READING:
Gen. 26:26-30
“26 Then Abimelech came to him from Gerar with Ahuzzath, one of his friends, and Phichol the commander of his army.”
“27 And Isaac said to them, “Why have you come to me, since you hate me and have sent me away from you?”
“28 But they said, “We have certainly seen that the LORD is with you. So we said, ‘Let there now be an oath between us, between you and us; and let us make a covenant with you,”
“29 that you will do us no harm, since we have not touched you, and since we have done nothing to you but good and have sent you away in peace. You are now the blessed of the LORD.’”
Thinking Point:
Every victory in life is a product of godly Instructions. The more we listen the more victorious we become.
A nobody of today can become a capstone of a nation tomorrow. You may not be recognized today but keep being consistent at following the instructions of God, it’s a proof that the world will bow to you very soon. Following God’s instructions will make your enemies seek peace with you without your invitation.
Deut. 28:1&7
“1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.”
7 “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”
Listening and carrying out God’s instructions is the best way to defeat our enemies. Isaac dwelt in the land of famine and he became wealthy that the king envied him and sent him packing. His wealth kept increasing that the King had to pay him a visit in the valley of Gerar to seek for a peace oath. That means the whole Gerar was afraid of Isaac. The King said, “We have certainly seen that the Lord is with you” “You are now the blessed of the Lord”. What a confession. The instructions of God sets you above the expectations and manipulation of the enemy. Obedience to His instructions is a way to guide us out of all evil and make us victorious over our enemies.
Father, I realize I don’t need to fight my battle myself, I just need to follow your instructions day in day out. Give me the patience to listen to your instructions and carry them out accordingly, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Good Day and God Bless you.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS: BRINGS ESTABLISHMENT (2)

Memory Verse: Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

BIBLE READING:
Gen. 26:22
“22 And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth, because he said, “For now the LORD has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.”
God said to Joshua in Joshua 1:3,
“3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.”
Thinking Point:
Every Instructions of God is to bring us to His expected end for our life which is establishment.
When you are under God’s instructions everywhere is your place. No place is called desert when God is leading you.
Gen. 13:14-17,
“14 And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are —northward, southward, eastward, and westward;”
“15. for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.”
“16. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered.”
“17. Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”
Lot thought he cheated on Abraham not knowing Abraham was under God’s instruction, anywhere He went, He was blessed.
Isaac was sent packing and moved to the Valley of Gerar, still it became a blessing to Him till he called it “Rehoboth”. When God is your Instructor, anywhere you settle (by His leading) is your location. His instruction is to transport us to our predestined point. If He instructs you to stay in the location, make sure you adhere to it. When He tells you to move, that means you’re done with your assignment there. Don’t take a step without His instruction because it might move us out of His purpose for our lives.
Father, I don’t just need to go about my way I want to be under your instructions. I surrender myself to your next instructions, give me the heart and courage to harkened to your directives always, so help me Oh Lord, Amen.

TOPIC: FOLLOWING GOD’S INSTRUCTIONS: Brings Blessings

MEMORY VERSE:
Is. 1:19
“19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

BIBLE READING:
Gen. 26:12-14
“12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him.”
“13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous;”
“14 for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.”
Thinking Point:
God’s instructions may not look like the reality of the situation, but it’s always a Blessings in disguise.
It’s a new week that open us up to the abundance of God for His Glory. Watch out. This week we shall be studying God’s instructions. Walking with God starts and ends in instructions. When God’s instructions are dished out, they always look stupid and confusing. Stay in the land with famine, Gen. 26:2-3. Leave your father’s house and go to a land I will show you, Gen. 12:1-3. Fetch water in the jar and take the water to the master of the ceremony, John 2:7-8. His instructions always attract questions, But in all of these, blessings are imbedded. Every instruction of God Carries weighty blessings.
Isaac’s obedience opened his eyes to what others couldn’t see. Many left their farm land for greener pasture in Egypt. Farmers were reduced. Food product became very scarce. Then, Isaac thought of farming, he sowed in the land of famine and reaped in Hundred folds the same year, your total obedience will yield the blessings of God in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Don’t be discourage in as much you are in the will of God, for as much as you follow His instructions in details, His blessings awaits you. All we need is to open our eyes to all opportunities available as we are following God’s instruction and His blessing will be ours. Most times, we follow His instructions without utilizing every available opportunities.
Lord Jesus, open my eyes to see the necessary steps I need to take even in following your instructions in Jesus Precious Name I pray, Amen.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 25, Day 7: Saturday, 22nd June 2024. TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 7: Yielding To His Will

TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 7: Yielding To His Will

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 6:16.
“16. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

BIBLE READING:
Jonah 1:1-3.
“1. Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,”
“2. Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.”
“3. But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.”
Thinking Point:
When our Will is subjected to His Will, we are yielding to His totality.
Beloved, it’s my joy to share with us today my last point concerning Yielding To God. Yielding to the will of God is another aspect we’ll need to check. Nobody is left out of this area, either as a minister or as a believer, young or old,  yielding is necessary for us all. From our Bible reading, we saw how a Prophet of God decided to yield to His will rather than the will of God. He was assigned to go to Nineveh city to deliver a message of repentance but he went to Tarshish instead, why? Not because he was afraid or fearful but he wanted the destructions of the city because of their attitude and behavior. His will differs from God’s Will so he acted on his.
How often do we find reasons not to go the way of the Lord, carrying out His Will because we have a hurt against a fellow. In anger, envy, jealousy we disobey God’s instructions to be of help to others, to be a solution to many and this has put us in the belly of a Whale like Jonah. How often do we try to teach God what to do than to do His Will? Yielding to His will is paramount than our ambitions. Are we sure we’re not in this situation we found ourselves because we decided to go against His Will? We can always go back to God as Jonah did and seek for mercy to fulfill God’s Will for our lives. Yielding to God’s Will is what we should strive to do. Every area of our lives is patterned according to His Will just that we never seek for it. As we round up this week on this topic, I’lI like us to take a deep breath, and ask ourselves, why am I struggling with God’s Will? Make the discovery and surrender to His Will, and things will be better.
Good Day and God Bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 25, Day 6: Friday, 21st June 2024. TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 6: Yielding Of Body?

TOPIC: YIELDING TO GOD 6: Yielding Of Body?

MEMORY VERSE:
Romans 6:16.
“16. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

BIBLE READING:
Romans 12:1.
“1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
Thinking Point:
Vessels of Honour can’t be possible without a body being yielded to God.The Body is honoured by God when it is yielded to Him.
Yielding our mind to God places us under the control of the Holy Spirit, it makes our mind reason in the way of the Lord (but this will not mean our bodies are delivered from the world). When our mind is yielded to God our body also need to be yielded. That was why Jesus said in Matthew 26:41,
“41. Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
The Mind is ready for God’s instructions, but the body is weak because it’s hasn’t being yielded to God. When you feel like fasting, the body gives reasons not to fast, that’s a body yet to yield to God. When you feel like praying, the body shows you the bed, that’s a body yet to be controlled by God.
Apostle Paul said, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, THAT YE PRESENT YOUR BODIES A LIVING SACRIFICE, HOLY, ACCEPTABLE UNTO GOD, which is your reasonable service.”
Meaning, yield that body to God in order to carry out the things of God. Surrender your body to God totally, then you can overcome the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and pride of life, 1 John 2:16.
A Body yielded to God won’t yield to sexual temptation, robbing or cheating others. Let’s Yield our body to the Lord, so He can use it for His purpose and that is what He wants from us. Father help us yield our body to you in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Good Day and God Bless you.
