TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Receiving Blessing (10)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 32:8.
“8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

BIBLE READING:
Ruth 2:12.
“12. The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.”
It’s the last day of the month, to God be the Glory for His presence around us throughout, may His name alone be praise forevermore, Amen.
My charge for us this morning is this, Are you receiving blessings or curse? Do men freely releases blessings on you or avoids speaking of you? Blessing is provoked likewise, curse is provoked. When your impact is felt even people who knew you not nor benefited from your act will bless you knowingly and unknowingly.
I remember an instance over twenty years while living in Lagos state, Nigeria. A little boy was playing his ball in a place close to an opened suck away. His ball ended up in a suck away and the little boy jumped along to retrieve it. I came in at the right time seeing the boy floating in the suck away, then I did all that’s in my power to rescue him while others were watching and shouting. After that scene, it was rain of prayers on me coincidentally, his father was a Pastor. Everyone around releases one blessings and the other on me. When your presence and contribution is felt it attracts blessing, when it’s a thorn in other’s flesh it attracts curse or rejection. What are you attracting, blessings or curse? It may be time to check your ways and your life. It may be the last opportunity you have to be a new person. Boaz rained blessings on Ruth because of her contribution to Elimelach’s family. What do people release on you? It’s time to think.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Your Sacrifices Are noted (9)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 32:8.
“8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

BIBLE READING:
Ruth 2:8-11.
“8. Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:”
“9. Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.”
“10. Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?”
“11. And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.”
Your efforts, sacrifices and contributions are known and will be rewarded in Full.
Like I said early last week in one of my teachings, your sacrifices will be rewarded, it can’t be overlooked or forgotten. I will say that again, many are watching that will soon speak to someone about you, don’t be discourage when you can’t see the reward of your labour, keep spreading your seeds till the harvest come. Many may be trolling you, reproaching and mocking your efforts, close your eye to them, someone is somewhere watching and ready to reward you. Your diligence, hard work and consistency are recorded, don’t quit till the rewarder will come.
Boaz called Ruth and explained to her about all he has heard and seen about her before coming to his farm. He’s been hearing of her sacrifices and the help rendered to Naomi way back from Moab and now she’s proving it again and again by fending for her. Keep doing your best to be of help because you don’t know the day of your visitation. Your impact speaks ahead of your presence, her person was already known to Boaz before he met her in his farm. Your attitude, diligence, effort and kindness speaks ahead of you don’t quit being good, don’t quit being helpful and Influencing others because God has ordained someone to reward you. And I pray today, the grace, strength and enablement to keep the fire on will rest on you in Jesus name, Amen. In that marriage, ministry, workplace, and over those situations, don’t be discouraged because God has arranged someone to lift that burden off you, it will soon be a reality in Jesus name, Amen.

TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Her Helper Noticed Her (8)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 32:8.
“8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

BIBLE READING:
Ruth 2:5-7.
“5. Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damsel is this?”
“6. And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab:”
“7. And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.”
Beloved of God, Happy Sunday to you all. This Week shall speak well for us in Jesus Name, Amen.
Ruth, being the stranger with different stories was noticed by all in Bethlehem. Her diligence, attitude and sacrifice was known, even the foreman of Boaz couldn’t resist helping her. Boaz came to check on his business and found a stranger working zealously to the extent of noticing her present. It was as if she worked harder than the other women who had been working in his farm before then. He was forced to inquire about her, why? She was noticed because of her activeness.
You know, many civil servants dodged responsibility in places of work to the extent that their absence is never noticed or relevant. They are always coming with one excuse or the other to avoide being active. Whereby some will be seen as “Oga pikin”, meaning, “The Boss Children” just because they are more active and always available for any assignments. They tend to enjoy favour more than others in place of work and elsewhere, which side do you belong, the Noticed for activeness or Noticed for laziness? When you’re around is your presence relevant or not? Do you carry out every assignment directed to you or you give excuses why you can’t do them? Ruth was noticed by her activeness not idleness. Think on where you belong and take the necessary step to be noticed. When you are noticed favour isn’t far from you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 17, Day (7) Saturday, 27th April, 2024 TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Divine Direction (7)

TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Divine Direction (7)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 32:8.
“8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

BIBLE READING:
Ruth 2:3.
“3. And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.”
Divine Direction is linked to our personality and diligence.
Yesterday, we discussed about Ruth’s diligence, she wasn’t familiar to the terrain but decided to go look for something to do in order to take care of the family. Today, our focus is shifting to how she was led to the right place to glean on her first day on duty, this is God in action. When you diligently do God’s will He divinely leads your path accordingly. Ruth enjoyed divine direction by going into the farm of someone who was their relative, wealthy and a good person and finally showed her favour. Divine favour is worked for you don’t just earn it. Let’s take a thought backward, if she had stayed back in Moab will she be connected to this favour? The answer is No. When we sacrifice for others on behalf of the Lord He rewards us beyond our expectations. She walked in to the farm of Boaz, a soon to be husband to her.
Our attitude to life and human is a link to what we are going through and experiencing at the present. Our commitment to serve and follow others has a way to open the doors of unexpected favour to us. Sometimes the risk or sacrifice seems like a waste but take it and move on. Divine direction is always attached to an attribute. Remember the servant of Abraham in Genesis 24, who went on a mission to get Isaac a wife, he learned how to pray from Abraham whom he has served for years and did the same and Divine direction was the result. Yes, you’ve sacrificed for many but it turned out to be a regret, that’s not the reason to stop helping, sacrificing or taking risk, do to someone else and that may open you up to Divine Direction. Ruth sacrificed all by leaving Moab to follow the God of Naomi and He gave her Divine Direction, may your services opens you up for Divine Direction in Jesus name, Amen. Keep serving and be on the look out for your reward.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 17, Day (6) Friday, 26th April, 2024 TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Ruth: The Diligent Woman (6)

TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Ruth: The Diligent Woman (6)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 32:8.
“8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

BIBLE READING:
Ruth 2:1-2.
“1. And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband’s, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz.”
“2. And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.”
“God does not bless a lazy hands, for an idle hand is a workshop of the devil. Be diligent.”
We all know that Naomi was an old woman by this time and she can’t do much for her living. Ruth was young and active but she knows no where she can turn to because she was new to the city but because of her diligence she seek for the survival of both of them by telling her mother-in-law,
“Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace.”
She neither ask for where to go or wait for her to instruct her on what to do, she acted and went in search of their survival. Are you that man or woman, lady or guy waiting for manna to fall from heaven without doing anything? That’s laziness, good fortune doesn’t follow those who never dare to do something with their lives. Ruth would have given an excuse of being a visitor, a Moabite among the Hebrews. She would have asked the woman to direct her or introduced her to someone but Instead, she went out to search for where to earn for their survival. Stop waiting for empty promises, stop praying inside the room without going out in search for job. Stop waiting for someone to introduce you to someone, go out there and search for what to do. Diligence is all about “responding to your ability” – Responsibility. Search for something to lay your hands on. Remember the book of proverbs, 22:29, which says,
“29. Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”
Diligency announces a man not idleness. Get up and find something to do. If job is not visible, get a hand work to learn, go for a seller rep, make something out to sell, you can’t continue to wait for someone who has forgotten your existence. Start a small business till you get what you desire. Be diligent in something.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Recognizing Your Ruth (5)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 32:8.
“8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

BIBLE READING:
Ruth 1:22.
“22. So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.
Today, every destiny helpers waiting for our recognition shall be identify in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
Naomi lost all she had in the country of Moab. She left Moab with nothing except an unrecognized helper destined to restore her fortune. In her mind all that occupied was, “How will I care for this lady when I have nothing else in Bethlehem?”, “Who will marry her or won’t she be a burden to me?” But God already planned it that Ruth will be the lifter and a restorer of her joy. Ruth, on the other hand, had it in mind to make life comfortable for her mother-in-law any how in Bethlehem. Most times we look down on our helpers not knowing they are our destined helpers. Naomi never knew it was God in charge when Ruth rejected her offer of going back to her people. How often do we reject offers from others not knowing they are ordained for our establishment?
Remember Job, when all he had was destroyed and consumed by fire he still had four servants left who surrounded him, Job 1:15,16,17 and 19 “And I Only Am Escaped Alone To Tell Thee.” Recognize those people left around to be of help to you. No matter the situation, God will never leave us without a sustainer when we are going through hard times. Stop seeing them as outsiders, different clan or a burden, they are your destiny helpers, may we not be blindfolded by our situations to reject our present help in times of need in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
There is a Ruth around you, she’s not just an inlaw or friend, they are the helper assigned for your restoration. Open-up and allow them carry out their duties in your life.

TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Don’t Tag Naming Yourself (4)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 32:8.
“8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

BIBLE READING:
Ruth 1:19-21.
“19. So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?”
“20. And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.”
“21. I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?”
May we not introduced ourselves wrongly below God’s purpose for our lives in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Naomi and Ruth started the long journey back to Bethlehem, after many days they arrived. The scripture said, “the city was moved when Naomi arrived”. Her absence all along was felt, now, seeing her, regardless of the losses, her presence moved the whole city. That you look like nobody today doesn’t mean you should give others room to call you names. I don’t know who I’m speaking to this moment, you’re still on a journey, yet to arrive where God is taking you to, so don’t conclude that it is finished, God is still working on you for a better place in Jesus name, Amen. Jesus was beaten, tortured, reproached and humiliated, but that wasn’t His place or the end of Him, His end was at the right hand of God, beloved, don’t call this your end.
Naomi concluded by telling her friends and relatives to call her Mara, meaning bitterness, because she lost her husband and two sons. But look at who she became at the end of the day. Stop tagging/ naming yourself because of your present situation, it’s a journey not a destination. Listen, you don’t have it or you’ve not made it doesn’t mean you can’t have it or make it. It simply means you haven’t had it yet or made it yet. Listen to those who made it, there was one time in their life when they never had it. Stop naming yourself according to your circumstances. Naomi is still Naomi not Mara. Yoruba adage said, “We don’t get taller the same day we begin to grow” we grow gradually, so while growing don’t conclude you can’t grow more than a particular height. Yes, God might be angry and disciplining you but my scripture tells me that, “FOR HIS ANGER ENDURETH BUT A MOMENT; IN HIS FAVOUR IS LIFE: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.- Psalms 30:5.
God has forgiven you along time ago according to His words in Psalms 103:10,
“10. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.”
Stop reminding God you sinned against Him. Call yourself whom God called you, “A Royal priesthood”, “A Holy name”, “The apple of God’s eye”, not names that attract negativity. Start calling yourself the right name according to where you are going not where you are.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 17, Day (3) Tuesday, 23rd April, 2024 TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Ruth’s Determination (3)

TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Ruth’s Determination (3)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 32:8.
“8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

BIBLE READING:
Ruth 1:14-18.
“14. And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.”
“15. And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.”
“16. And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:”
“17. Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.”
“18. When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.”
My prayer this Morning is that, may we all recognize what and who God has assigned for the manifestation of our destiny in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
What price can you pay for what you value? How far can you go to keep and protect what and whom God has used in blessing and lifting you? How do you value the source of God’s grace over your life? It’s a pity that many Christians don’t even identify the vessels God uses for their breakthroughs. If you identify them, do you reward them? How do you pay them back? Ruth recognized the source of God in her life and was ready to go the extra mile to keep her.
Three reasons for Ruth’s determination:
– Ruth, a determined woman, knew the changes she experienced while living with Naomi and she’s not ready to loose it at all.
– Secondly, she knew Naomi has no more hope and needed someone to encouraged her in life. She needed a shoulder to lean on as an old woman without a husband and children, so she determined to make herself the only shoulder left.
– Thirdly, she has tested Naomi’s God, knows the God and she’s not ready to go back to the god of moabites, and the only means of escape from that god was to go with Naomi.
How far do you go to keep those things that changes the stories of your life? Are you not a “Use And Dump” person? When you enjoyed other’s blessings and grace then you jumped to someone’s else. That’s not who Ruth was, she was ready to contribute her quota to the life of Naomi and she said,
“16. And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:”
Be determined to reward others for their kindness, influence and help in your life and their God will have a record about you.

TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. Naomi’s Life Style (2)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 32:8.
“8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

BIBLE READING:
Ruth 1:8-9, 14.
“8. And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother’s house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.”
“9. The LORD grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept.”
“14. And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.”
By the power In the name of Jesus, may you never experience an untimely death of your loved ones in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Naomi lost all she came with in the land of Moab. Her two sons were also objects of causality after marrying for ten years without children, leaving her with their wives. Then she heard that, the Lord had visited the land she left back at home. So, she told her daughter in-laws, Go back home and start a new life, you’ve been a good daughter to me but they protested to go with her, why? Because of her attitude, behaviour, motherly role which is enviable. Naomi was a mother-in-law with a kind heart, her walk with God was glaring to these daughter in-laws, they’ve learn and become a better person with her, so they thought who can be of that worth to them again? They made up their mind to go with her until Orpah accepted to return home.
As a mother-in-law, father-in-law, Boss, Master, church founder, leader and husband, wife, mother and father, do you make people comfortable around you or frustrate their lives? Do you treat people as slaves or servants? Can people go the extra mile for you or are they willing to end their contract with you before the agreed date? How do you treat the less privilege around you? As God’s Ministers, do you give your proteges room to grow or disarm their spirit with your attitude? Naomi wasn’t paying these ladies but they chose to go the extra mile with her, to serve her God and remain with her till the end. How accommodating are you to your in-laws and relatives? Are they comfortable around you? When you need people may you not lack them because of bad attitude in Jesus name. Be more accommodating to those you lead and those that come your way. Naomi’s daughter in-laws preferred to stay with her rather than going elsewhere because of her life style.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 17, Day (1) Sunday, 21st April, 2024 TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. INTRODUCTION (1)

TOPIC: LESSON FROM NAOMI AND RUTH. INTRODUCTION (1)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 32:8.
“8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

BIBLE READING:
Ruth 1:1 – 5
1 In the days when the judges ruled in Israel, a severe famine came upon the land. So a man from Bethlehem in Judah left his home and went to live in the country of Moab, taking his wife and two sons with him. 2. The man’s name was Elimelech, and his wife was Naomi. Their two sons were Mahlon and Kilion. They were Ephrathites from Bethlehem in the land of Judah. And when they reached Moab, they settled there. 3. Then Elimelech died, and Naomi was left with her two sons. 4. The two sons married Moabite women. One married a woman named Orpah, and the other a woman named Ruth. But about ten years later, 5. both Mahlon and Kilion died. This left Naomi alone, without her two sons or her husband.”
I welcome you all to this new series of Lesson from Naomi and Ruth. Today, we shall be doing a study on this family and what went wrong in the cause of their migration. Elimelech was a Bethlehemite with his wife Naomi, there was famine in Bethlehem so he relocated to Moab, why? Was the instruction from God? No. There was famine, and many relocated and he did too with his family. Jumping to decision without God’s involvement has a lot of consequences. Yes, many did it and it worked for them “Now” (we don’t know what will happen later) doesn’t mean you should also go into it. He did and this brought destruction on his family. Going to Moab wasn’t the plan of God for him but he ventured in to it. How often do we seek God’s counsel before making decision?
Proverbs 14:12.
“12. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
We need to involve God in our decisions no matter what the case may be. Jumping into decision without God’s leading have a lot of consequences. I pray today, that we won’t miss God’s leading in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
