TOPIC : SENSITIVITY IN FAMINE 4: Don’t Doubt Prophecy

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Kings 17:2.
“2. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,”

BIBLE READING:
2 Kings 7:1-2.
“1. Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
2. Then a Lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, “Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.”
This season, your word will come, it will not fail, and it will take you out of famine in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
If there’s another area where sensitivity is needed during famine, it’s when God’s servants prophesy, don’t joke with it. Yes, many prophets have been framing the word, “Thus saith The Lord”, but at that, don’t oppose it even if you won’t believe it. When God speaks, it always come in a doubtable form, which is the reason why God is not a man. Many people are faced with serious famine and still reject the prophesies of God’s servant.
Elisha made a decree with the word, “Thus saith the Lord” during famine and someone who thought he knows more than God said, “Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be?” He should have laughed like Sarah did but he opened his mouth to oppose a prophecy, don’t do that. If there’s anything you need now, it’s what God is saying concerning the present situation, don’t doubt any prophecy. Let’s think this together, if a prophecy comes and it’s not fulfilled in your life, you’ve loose nothing but if it’s establish according to the word then, that’s all we need. The right hand man of the king attracted curse upon himself while others kept quiet till the prophecy was fulfilled. Don’t doubt prophecy even if you don’t believe it. Hold on until every prophecy is declared and you will be walking out of that famine very soon.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 11: Day 4:
Wednesday, 13th March, 2024

TOPIC : SENSITIVITY IN FAMINE 4: Famine And Relocation.

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Kings 17:2.
“2. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,”

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 26:1-3.
“1. And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.
2. And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
We’ve established the fact that, famine doesn’t signifies being forsaken by God. It’s natural for famine to come upon a nation and individuals. When famine set in, many relocate from their residence, leaven their marriages, their jobs even their country, thinking that will bring an end to famine. Relocation can’t end famine when God is not involved.
When their was famine in the land of Gerar, God visited Isaac in the dream, told him, you don’t need to relocate like your father did, just stay here and I will bless you and make you great. Not all famine need relocation. All you need is God’s instructions on what to do. God will always guide His children who ask for direction. When Jezebel threatening Elijah, without seeking for God’s instruction, he began to run to no specific location until God came asking,
1 Kings 19:9
“9…., behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and He said unto him, WHAT DOEST THOU HERE, ELIJAH?
Meaning, what are you doing here? Why did you left your rightful position? You don’t need to run for famine, all you need do is to ask him for direction. God is asking many of us this morning, “WHAT DOEST THOU HERE?” It’s time to return to Him for direction and stop running without a location. Yes, Abraham relocated, Elijah was told to relocate, but Elisha stayed and God also told Isaac to stay. Famine doesn’t implies relocation, it implies seeking God’s direction.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC : SENSITIVITY IN FAMINE 3: Investing In Famine

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Kings 17:2.
“2. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,”

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 26:12-13.
12. Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.
13. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
The God that sustains in famine, wilderness and calamity will meet all our needs in Jesus Powerful Name, Amen.
Our first point to Sensitivity In Famine was to “Listen To God’s Voice” for direction. Secondly, “Sow Into Others Life”, affect others with your giving. Today, we move further by saying, “Invest In Famine”. Famine isn’t a time to be idle but a time to invest, do something that brings profit. Work with your hands, brain and your body to gain more in famine. Yes, blessing and helping people is good but you need to sow some seeds that will bring back what you’re sowing into others lives.
Remember, it was during famine that Isaac sow, he went into farming despite the owners of the land crying here and there for hunger, he utilized their resources to plant and he harvested so much that he became wealthy by selling to the indigenes. Famine time might not be your own time to relocate. In the days of Abraham he relocated but during Isaac God said, “stay in this land”. He can’t tell you to stay if He won’t sustain you. Think on what to sow, business to venture into. Taking advantage of the moment to grow your income. This is my prayer for you today, your eyes will be open to take advantage of the moment in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Stop the complain, find something to do and He will make you wealthy.
Good Day and God bless you.

Week 11, Day 2:
Sunday, 12th March 2024.

TOPIC : SENSITIVITY IN FAMINE 2: Sow to Others Life.

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Kings 17:2.
“2. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 17:11-12, 15.
“11. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
12. And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
15. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.”
The Lord shall supply all our needs regardless of the situation of our various country in Jesus Name, Amen.
When famine becomes the course of the day, what to listen to is God’s instructions. What is God saying at this moment? What’s the way He’s leading you through? In famine, after the brook dried up, God still gave Elijah another instruction to go to a widow for his care. When Elijah got there, he told her to give him water and also to come along with a meal, but the widow quickly responded, ‘the last meal is meant for me and my son’. But in her lack and needy, she went on to sow her last meal to Elijah first, then she and her son. The scripture says, they never lacked food till rain fell on the land.
Famine is a season to sow from what we have. The widow made Elijah’s meal first, served him and ate with her son for day. During famine, care for others even when you don’t have enough. Sow seeds to those who needs it more than you do. Be a solution to others in famine and see what God will do in your life. She obeyed the instructions even when it was very strange and dangerous but that was the end of famine for her household. What you eat or keep is not what sustains you in famine, it’s what you give and release to others. So, find what to sow in that famine.
Good Day and God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Week 11, Day 1:
Sunday, 10th March 2024.

TOPIC : SENSITIVITY IN FAMINE 1: Instructions To The Brook

MEMORY VERSE:
1 Kings 17:2.
“2. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 17:2-4.
“2. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
3. Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
4. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.”
I welcome you to this new week, may God make it a fruitful week for everyone in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
We shall be focusing on “Sensitivity In Famine” as our topic for the week. We are all aware of the situations of our various countries at this present time. It’s becoming alarming every where. Is God aware about famine? Yes. Will the righteous be exempted during famine? Yes, then How? By being “Sensitive To His Instructions” before and during famine. God is perfect in making ways in difficult times. He specialises in creating escape route in famine. Today, our focus is yielding to His Instructions even when it seems impossible. God’s instructions may seems negative when in difficult times. Harkening to His instructions is always a way out of famine.
What God is saying in that famine is what singles you out of the famine. So what is God saying? We need to be attentive. When His children are going through famine, God is not pleased. He is forced to give instructions that will change situation but most times we are not ready to listen. Elijah declared famine and instantly God spoke to him, “And the word of the Lord came unto him”, what is the Lord saying? God gave him a specific direction. Until we listen to His word during famine we will be wasting in Famine. May I ask you this morning, what is God saying to you in this famine? Are we ready to hear Him or struggling with famine? We need to be sensitive to hear Him in order to escape hard time.
Good Day and God Bless you.
Happy Birthday to all celebrants and Happy Wedding Anniversary to those celebrating today. May you experience God’s fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Week 10: Day 7:
Saturday, 9th March, 2024

TOPIC: THE LOT OF THE RIGHTEOUS: God Takes The Righteous Home (7)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 125:3.
“3. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.”

BIBLE READING:
Isaiah 57:1-2.
“1. The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
2. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
This weekend will be sweet for you, your desires will locate you and your hopes will come to pass In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen
Often times, we get troubled by the situation of the righteous. Such as when a righteous man dies, (or sleeps in the Lord) either through sickness, accident or while serving the Lord. We tends to be discouraged and ask many unanswered questions that ends with “Why?”. We all know the word, “God is Good” is not just a sentence but an attribute of God. He is always good come what may. “The Righteous Also Dies” is our topic today. When a good man passes away, no matter how it comes God knows about it.
Isaiah was speaking in our Bible reading today, that,
“The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.”
It’s not a mistake or sin but God wants Him back home to avoid the evils ahead of them. What lies ahead may derail the righteous, their strength may not be able to withstand it and God found it faithful to call them home. When the righteous dies it’s not a lost but fullness of Joy that he ended his journey in the Lord. Hear what Isaiah called their lot after death,
“He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.” This will be our reward when we depart the earth in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. The wicked may celebrate and jubilate after the righteous death but it’s a predestined death from God. It’s our lot and we can’t run from it and it’s God’s ordained.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 10: Day 6:
Friday, 8th March, 2024

TOPIC: THE LOT OF THE RIGHTEOUS: Enmity Against The Righteous (6)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 125:3.
“3. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.”

BIBLE READING:
Psalms 37:12-13.
“12. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
This day, no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper, no gang up shall succeed upon you and your family, in Jesus wonderful name, Amen.
The righteous are not loved by the wicked even when they are not wealthy or famous. On daily basis their enemies increase even for doing good. They go the extra mile to destroy and damage their image with deformation of character. To be righteous is to become enemy to the wicked. Enemy within the household and friends, in work place, even in the church, when you’re righteous you attract more enmity to yourself. But this is the good news, God watches over the righteous and protects them from all evil, both known and unknown.
David said,
“The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
But the Lord laugh at their foolishness, He truncate their plans and turned their intention to nothing. Being righteous is living in the secret place of the Most High where evil has no access. If the Lord had not been with the righteous, there would have been no more righteous persons on earth. That we are righteous is not a reason to be exempted from enmity but there’s assurance that God fights on our behalf. Don’t be discouraged, don’t be fearful nor fret because of the wicked for the Lord will laugh at them and give you victory in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Week 10: Day 5:
Thursday, 7th March, 2024

TOPIC: THE LOT OF THE RIGHTEOUS: The Righteous Still Prays (5)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 125:3.
“3. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Peter 3:12.
“12. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.”
May God answer our prayers, grant our request, and make us a testimony in Jesus Name, Amen.
To be righteous is a responsibility because it’s not easy to attain that level. So therefore, for the righteous to remain righteous they need to be prayerful. God is expecting the prayers of the righteous because it’s brings Him joy to grant them. Being righteous makes the Lord’s eyes shines on us, watches over us as He’s expecting our prayers. Being righteous shouldn’t cloud our reasoning when we found ourselves in sin. We should be able to go to God, confess our sins and repent of it. Many righteous feels, “It’s just a little sin, God will understand”, No He doesn’t, He wants you to turn back to Him, confess and repent of that sin in order to retain your righteous position with Him.
David was a righteous man before God, not because he never sinned but he knew how to go to God in prayers to confess and repent of His mistake. He’s always sober when he disappoints God. Our prayers are vital to God when in need of Him, fall short of His glory and when we need directions. If Jesus prayed many times who am I not to do same? Prayer keeps us more righteous, we shouldn’t be over confident of our righteousness, let us be prayerful, May the Lord help us all in Jesus Name, Amen.

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 125:3.
“3. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.”

BIBLE READING:
Job 1:12.
“12. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
May the Power of the Lord go ahead of you today, make ways where there seem to be blockage, part the wilderness for you, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Our focus today says, “Temptation Is Inevitable For The Righteous”. No matter our righteousness temptation will come our ways. Don’t be surprised that God is involved in those temptations, He’s not bringing it for our fall but to prove us. He sends temptation most times to know if we are prepared to go the extra mile with Him.
It was God who announced Job to satan. He was proud of him and gave the devil permission to tempt him. Get this, every temptation has levels and when that level is reached and we’ve proven ourselves, God intervenes.
Jesus was also tempted – Luke 4:1-13. If Jesus was led to the wilderness by the Spirit to be tempted, how righteous are we not to be tempted? Righteousness brings temptation but in that temptation, God will still make a way out for us, 1 Corinthians. 10:13. Temptation may come from anywhere and anyone, righteousness doesn’t exempt us from temptation but how we handle it is what God is after. No matter the level of temptations, we will not fail, we shall all over come in Jesus name, Amen. Temptation is inevitable for the righteous, God knows about it.

Week 10: Day 3:
Tuesday, 5th March, 2024

TOPIC: THE LOT OF THE RIGHTEOUS: Afflictions Is Inevitable (3)

MEMORY VERSE:
Psalms 125:3.
“3. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.”

BIBLE READING:
Psalms 34:19-20.
“19. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
20. He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.”
May the God of Grace, on this 5th day, Grace all our efforts today and forevermore, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
We are studying “The Lot Of The Righteous”, which the righteous may not be aware of. God is not partial nor bias in His dealings with the righteous and the unrighteous. He is God to them both, but there are privileges that distinguishes them from one another, God is very near to the righteous.
Our reading today says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous:”
I may ask, should the righteous be afflicted? Should they experience what the unrighteous faced? This is the truth, the righteous faces many affliction because of His righteousness but this is the promise of God,
“… But the LORD delivereth him out of them all. 20. He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.”
Their righteousness speaks for them during affliction. That we are righteous isn’t an immune to affliction. God said “He will deliver us from all affliction” I don’t know that righteous person going though affliction presently, I’m here to let you know that, He will deliver you, don’t loose faith in Him, your righteousness will speak for you soon in Jesus Name, Amen.
