TOPIC: LESSON FROM MORDECAI AND ESTHER: There Is A Record (8)

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Timothy 2:6.
“6. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.”

BIBLE READING:
Esther 2:23.
“23. And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king.”
Happy Easter to You All. He’s Rising. He’s alive. Our works of Salvation was perfected. Hallelujah.
Welcome to the last day of the month of March. We bless the Lord for keeping and sustaining us till date. Blessed be His wonderful name. As we continue on “Lessons From Mordecai and Esther”, today, the Lord is saying, “There Is A Record”, yes, all we’ve been doing till date are recorded. It may not be in books but people are watching and it’s being noted. Let me share my experience about this.
Some years back, as a practicing Engineer, (although still practicing till date), a Job was sublet to me and coincidentally, the then site supervisor is one of our consistent reader till date, Halleluyah. My contractor and I had a misunderstanding which made me stopped the Job. I left the site for few days and later came back to pick my tools from the site. Suddenly, the site supervisor saw me and asked, Emmanuel, what happened, it’s been some days I saw you last on site? I responded that I quit the work that I’m not satisfy with my contractor. After our discussion, when I was about to leave, he said a word which i never forgot till date. He said, Emmanuel, continue the work, “SOMEONE IS WATCHING”. I was like, who is watching? But He succeeded in convincing me to continue the Job. Not long, when I was back to the site, someone from the same site introduced me to the main Contractor of the site and gave me a new contract because, “Some was Watching”.
This was the case with Mordecai, He wasn’t rewarded instantly but it was recorded in the book of history. May I tell my readers today, “Someone is Watching” and a record is being kept about all your doings and dealings. What will your record bring? Good or bad? Regret or Rejoicing? Your attitude is known to many who will speak of you to someone. Remember, Galatians 6:7, which says,
“7. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
Every attitude is a seed and we will reap the fruit thereof. Do what you will be happy you did.
Good Day and God bless you.

Saturday, 30th March, 2024

TOPIC: LESSON FROM MORDECAI AND ESTHER: Credit Other’s Effort 7

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Timothy 2:6.
“6. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.”

BIBLE READING:
Esther 2:21-22.
“21. In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king’s gate, two of the king’s chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.”
“22. And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai’s name.”
Happy Weekend to everyone. May God reward all your effort and make you smile to His presence with testimony in Jesus Name, Amen.
Welcome to the continuation of our lessons from Mordecai and Esther. Today, we are learning from Esther’s attitude towards her uncle, Mordecai. Our Bible reading today talked about Mordecai revealing an assassination attempt on the King to Queen Esther, who inturn revealed it to the King and gave the credit to Mordecai. She made it known to the king that Mordecai was privileged to hear it, (in order to be rewarded). Esther was the queen who would have told the King the attempt on His life without mentioning Mordecai’s name but reverse is the case.
Who do you give the credit to, yourself or the revealer? When others get the ideas and revealed it to you, do you remember to ascribe the credit to the right source? I once watched a movie where a step-daughter found her father’s lost cash, kept by her step-sister. But her step-mother told her Husband that her daughter found it where the step-daughter kept it. That wasn’t what Esther did, she credited the creditor, mentioned Mordecai to the king for reference purpose. This is an important lesson to learn. Claiming other’s credit won’t reduce them nor increase you but will rather belittle you when the truth comes out. Give credit to whom it belong and let them be rewarded accordingly. Parents and Guardian should learn to do the needful between their children and others, likewise spouse, may God give us the courage to act rightly in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: LESSON FROM MORDECAI AND ESTHER: Be Teachable 6

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Timothy 2:6.
“6. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.”

BIBLE READING:
Esther 2:15, 17.
“15. Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, *_she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed._* And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.”
17.And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.”
Father, Thank you for the sacrifice of Jesus for our sin. Thank you for loving us that much when we were still sinners to Christ as the lamb of God.
Happy Good Friday.
In our world today, there’s what we call, “Too Know” which has led many away from their opportunities. Some preferred to be the head without having idea of what to do. Pride, being full of oneself, has caused many to fail in their endeavors and life generally. Today, I’ll like you to know that in every venture you are into, there’s always how to do it, there are people ahead of you, who knows more than you do, relax and learn, don’t be the, “I know it all”.
Esther had the opportunity to show case her beauty before the king. Her time came to be presented like others. Others did all their best to be the winner of the contest but Esther decided to listen to the instructors on what to do, what to wear and how to present herself before the King. The scripture said,
“She required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed.” She made her job easier by trusting Hegai to decide what she need to go with, and the scripture said,
“And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.”
That is, all those who were present when she surrendered herself to the woman in charge, favoured Esther right from the room.
In every game, marriage, work place including our churches, there are principles we have to follow if we must succeed. You can’t know above those who are ahead of you, lower your pride to know the principles and to apply it. Search out the principal that works in your area and function with it. Always know that, no one knows it all.
Good Day and God bless you.

Week 13: Day 5:
Thursday, 28th March, 2024

TOPIC: LESSON FROM MORDECAI AND ESTHER: Close Monitoring 5

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Timothy 2:6.
“6. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.”

BIBLE READING:
Esther 2:11.
“11. And Mordecai walked every day before the court of the women’s house, to know how Esther did, and what should become of her.”
This day, the Holy Spirit shall inspire you to all around success in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Today, our focus is how Mordecai monitored her cousin even in the king’s palace, Close Monitoring. Actually, this is the attribute of mother over their children but in this case, it was a man doing it repeatedly. This is a lesson for every parent that, upbringing of our children and other children around us is to be handled diligently, it’s a collective duty. Many children today lack total monitoring and that is the reason for many vagabond around everywhere, even in our pleases of worship.
Parent, especially, fathers, are not to leave the upbringing of children to the woman alone. Close monitoring is expected by both parents, like knowing who they walk with, where they visit each time, what and who they listen to. Collective monitoring shapens children in the fear of the Lord.
Proverbs 22:6, says,
“6. Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Training our children, in this generation of “Gen Z” involves a great monitoring and teaching them the word of God. Many messages are flying here and there, they need to be fed with the right word and attitude, so a close monitoring is the best way to direct them. I pray this morning, none of us will fail God in our responsibility to our children as parent in Jesus mighty name, Amen. Closer monitoring is required to bring up our children by both parties.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: LESSON FROM MORDECAI AND ESTHER: Keeping To Instructions 4

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Timothy 2:6.
“6. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.”

BIBLE READING:
Esther 2:10.
“10. Esther had not shewed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai had charged her that she should not shew it.”
No matter what happens, you will be exempted from all negativity within and without in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
As we continue on the “Lessons of Mordecai and Esther”, one lesson to learn from Esther was “Ability to listen to Instructions”. Mordecai instructed her not to expose her personality as a Jew and she kept to the instructions. Revealing her nationality would have jeopardize her chances from participating in the contest. Yes, she was beautiful, loved and favoured but never allowed all these to take over her, she still listens to her Uncle’s instructions.
Inability to listen to instructions or disobedient has caused many their marriage, work or rightful place in life and ministry. When you can’t obey little instructions you can’t earn your rightful position. Abraham’s obedient to God’s instructions to sacrifice Isaac attracted God to sworn to blessing Abraham. Obedience to instructions from your superior, spouse, leaders and parent pave way to the top. How diligent are you in keeping to instructions? Esther did and she made her way to the queen’s throne.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 13: Day 3: Tuesday, 26th March, 2024 TOPIC: LESSON FROM MORDECAI AND ESTHER: Favour Answers to Risk Takers 3

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 13: Day 3:
Tuesday, 26th March, 2024

TOPIC: LESSON FROM MORDECAI AND ESTHER: Favour Answers to Risk Takers 3

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Timothy 2:6.
“6. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.”

BIBLE READING:
Esther 2:8-9
8 As a result of the king’s decree, Esther, along with many other young women, was brought to the king’s harem at the fortress of Susa and placed in Hegai’s care.
9 Hegai was very impressed with Esther and treated her kindly. He quickly ordered a special menu for her and provided her with beauty treatments. He also assigned her seven maids specially chosen from the king’s palace, and he moved her and her maids into the best place in the harem.
This week, the right risk we will take, Favour will answer to us and we will be lifted in Jesus Precious Name, Amen.
May I tell you today that, not taking risk is also a risk but such end in fruitlessness. Taking risk is going the extra mile, going further beyond your altitude. When risk is taken you have access to what others can’t access. The more you move further the more opportunities you access. Favour is one of the access you gain when you take risk in life. Esther listened to the advice of Mordecai by taking the risk to participate in the contest then she came in contact with favour, she was shown by Hegai, who was in charge of all the ladies in the contest, and she cared for her more than the rest. When you’re afraid to take risk you risk enjoying the favour of God and men.
Remember the three leper in the book of 2nd Kings chapter 6, they made up their mind to take the risk and face the beat but fortunately for them, they met the favour of God, got everything they need for life. That extra mile – risk- brings favour and positions you for the best. It’s time to enjoy favour. What’s that risk that seems fearful? Go after it, it’s favour standing behind it. God will grant you favour by taking the risk, favour await you over there.
Good Day and God bless you.

Esther 2:8-9

This week, the strength of God will rest on you, to profit, to succeed and please the Lord in Jesus name, Amen.
Lessons from Mordecai and Esther is our focus for this week. We studied how Mordecai took responsibility over Esther by raising her as his own daughter. The lesson to learn from Mordecai today is the ability to take risk, what risk? Allowing Esther, a Jew and a slave, to participate in a contest for a new Queen. The king needed a replacement for his queen which means, he will need a woman without blemish or someone from a royal family. But a slave was disguised to participate. Come to think of it, if the king later discovered during the contest what would have happened? That will be beheading her, but above all hold, Mordecai sent her for the contest.
Most times our fears would have become our breakthrough if those risks were taken. We loose many privileges and opportunity by thinking too deep about our decisions. Discussing our fear with the wrong people can also discourage us from taking certain risk. Joseph’s case was different from this case because the king knew him to be a Hebrew before requesting for his service but Esther disguised to be an indigene to contest and she later won. That risk is not what you should broadcast before taking. Seek God’s face concerning it, then take the leap of faith and you will land right in the King’s palace.

TOPIC: LESSON FROM MORDECAI AND ESTHER: Be Responsible (1)

MEMORY VERSE:
2 Timothy 2:6.
“6. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.”

BIBLE READING:
Esther 2:7
“7 This man had a very beautiful and lovely young cousin, Hadassah, who was also called Esther. When her father and mother died, Mordecai adopted her into his family and raised her as his own daughter.” (NLT)
Welcome to a unique week in the history of your life. You will get it right this week, no power will hold you back, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Our focus this week will be lessons inferred from Mordecai and Esther which can be apply to our lives. Mordecai was a slave captured by the babylonia with his cousin. Mordecai isn’t the father of Hadassah also known as Esther. Esther was an orphan, but Mordecai took the responsibility to train her till she became a Queen. We never heard about Mordecai’s children throughout the book of Esther but we knew him today because he took up the responsibility to raise Esther.
Many of us select responsibility. We treat ours well and treat others badly. We treasure what belongs to us and look away from those who need the help. Many servant has been turned to slaves, service and slavery have no difference to many leaders, service is intentional but slavery is enforcement. Most times, what we turn away from, always become the only way to the top, how are you responding to those responsibilities around you? Are you prioritizing your responsibility? If Mordecai had selected who to train i’m sure we wouldn’t have read about him. The first lesson, Don’t be partial or selfish when handling your Responsibilities. Respond to everyone as you’re being led.
Good Day and God bless you.

Vision and Provision

 About the book

Vision and Provision are two topics that can’t be separated. One leads to the other, and one can’t stand without the other. God so much understands this that He releases the two together. Your vision has a provision, identify the vision and recognize the provisions. His provision also comes in different forms and they are timely, you need to know this to be fulfiled in your vision.
