Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 9, Day 4: Wednesday, 21st February, 2024 TOPIC: CRITERIA FOR HIS CALLING: By Diligence (18)

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 9, Day 4:
Wednesday, 21st February, 2024

TOPIC: CRITERIA FOR HIS CALLING: By Diligence (18)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
Psalms 78:70-72.
“70. He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds:
71. From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.
72. So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.
May the angel of the Lord lead and guide our paths today, direct us alright to our destined place in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
As we proceeds today, another criteria that God looks out for before calling His worker is Diligence, how diligent we are with our endeavours. God will never call the lazy because His call to duty is not meant for lazy ones. Most great men today are called while diligently doing their personal works. Being active in what you do is another criteria for God’s call. When Elisha was called, he was a mechanize farmer and wealthy. He was at his duty post when God sent Elijah to anoint him as his own replacement.
David was in the bush shepherding his father’s sheep when God located him as the next King of Israel. God said,
“19.Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20. I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
Psalms 89:19-20.
God found David in the bush where he was diligently doing his best for his father’s flock. Your diligence, hard work and zeal is another criteria for God’s calling, either to the altar or outside the altar. Jesus called most of His disciples while some were fishermen and tax collection, and so on. Being diligent is another thing God looks for before He calls.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 9, Day 3:
Tuesday, 20th February, 2024

TOPIC: CRITERIA FOR HIS CALLING: By Service (17)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
Exodus 33:11.
“11. And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.”
This day I declare, your labour shall not be in vain, your effort will yield greater results, it is said that, result is the end of argument, you will have result to show for your efforts in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
We are still focusing on the criteria for God’s call. Our Services in His vineyard is an invitation to God’s call. When you have the heart to make God’s work move forward, the Gospel to reach the unreached and ease the burden on those He called, there is an assurance He may call you to be His harvester. Samuel wasn’t predestined to be a prophet but his presence and continuous service in the temple of God made Him received God’s call. God didn’t have to go far to search for Eli’s replacement since the boy (Samuel) was always serving in the temple,
“21. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD. 1 Samuel 2:21.” When you are active in God’s temple you may be a heading for His call.
Joshua, a committed servant of Moses, served God through Moses in his days untill the death of Moses. The scripture said he remain in the Tabernacle even when Moses leaves. He was also called Moses’ servant. Serving the Lord is one of the criteria to God’s call. When you serve Him wholeheartedly He knows and will fit you in to where you belong.
Good Day and God bless you.

Week 9, Day 2:
Monday, 19th February, 2024

TOPIC: CRITERIA FOR HIS CALLING: By Righteousness (16)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
Luke 1:26-27.
“26. And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27. To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
This week, you shall prosper, progress and be bless with your desires in Jesus name, Amen.
Today, as we move further with the criteria for God’s call, we shall be studying “By Righteousness”. When you are righteous you’ve already sent an invite to God that you are available for His assignment, for his call. Job attracted God’s call upon his lives through righteousness.
Our case study for today is Mary and Joseph. There was prophecy about the birth of Jesus Christ through a ‘Virgin’ without a specific name. But the act of Mary, being a virgin, with an exceptional life style qualified her to be the mother of Jesus. Not that alone, Joseph also who was to be her husband was also qualified by his righteousness. Their righteous lives brought the fulfillment of God’s prophecy after hundreds of years. Remember, God’s call is basically not to the altar or pulpit, it’s carrying out what God has ordained concerning you. Mary and Joseph received the call of God through their righteous ways. The way we live our lives matters to God’s call upon us. How righteous are you?
Your way of life attracts or repels God’s call upon your life.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 9, Day 1: Sunday, 18th February, 2024 TOPIC: CRITERIA FOR HIS CALLING: PREDESTINED (15)

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 9, Day 1:
Sunday, 18th February, 2024

TOPIC: CRITERIA FOR HIS CALLING: PREDESTINED (15)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
Romans 8:29-30.
“29. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
Today, as we worship His Majesty, He will renew our strength and give us His blessings in Jesus name, Amen.
Welcome to the third series of DIVERSE CALL. We shall focus on criteria of God’s calling: what does God sees in us before calling us to do His work? The first criteria is “Being Predestined”. Do you know many are willing to be called by God but God didn’t look their way? Many are called by Mercy, not by service, faithfulness or commitment, although God does call people through this services but some have been predestined to be called.
Calling of Abraham wasn’t as a result of his righteousness or service, it was predestined. You see a chronic armed robber being called by God. A herbalist being called into God’s kingdom to liberate others. Apostle Paul was one of the wicked men in his days but he was predestined to be called of God. Such persons, their past has nothing to do with the call of God. The mercy of God will beacon on us in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. Many are predestined to be called by God while some are called due to some other criteria which we shall be studying together.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 8, Day 7: Saturday, 17th February, 2024 TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – DISOBEDIENT TO GOD (14)

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 8, Day 7:
Saturday, 17th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – DISOBEDIENT TO GOD (14)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 13:9, 18-19.
“9. For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest.
18. He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. 19. But he lied unto him.
So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.
Happy Weekend to you brethren, this weekend shall be a refreshing One in Jesus Name, Amen.
As we conclude on Killers of Call, we shall be studying the most important of it all, which is “Disobedient to God”. If God called us who should we obey? God of course and not man. God’s instructions, guidance and directives is the tools to succeed in His calling. God’s instructions seems foolish, stupid and meaningless, until we do as He says then will the wisdom be revealed. Instructions like, move forward when the sea is stirring at you. Instructions like ‘I will feed six Hundred people in the wilderness’, yes they all seems impossible but when God says it, He already meant it.
Our case study today which is “The small and the old Prophet”. The small prophet disobeyed the Lord because the old prophet said God spoke to him and out of reverence. God can’t say two different words to two different people on the same issue, No. His words are Yes and Amen, it doesn’t change. The small prophet disobeyed God because of the word of a man. We have to hold on to the instructions of God no matter the condition. The three Hebrew boys in Daniel 3:16-18, held unto God’s word against the word of a king and the Lord did showed Himself to the obedient. Whatever man says can’t override what God has spoken. Do not be deceived, strive to obey your caller and not men. Do it the way He propose not as men dictates. We will not fail our maker in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 8, Day 6:
Friday, 16th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – DISTRACTION (13)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
Matthew 14:3-5.
“3. For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife.
4. For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.
5. And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.”
May the good Lord grant us the wisdom to overcome the tricks of the devil against our lives in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
So far this week, we have studied some numbers of Call killers as ministers and servants of God. We started with; Comparism, Imitation, Love for Money, and Pride. Today we will be adding DISTRACTION to the killers of call. What do I mean, there is a saying that, “To Distract A Man From His Vision, Give Him A Vision That Looks Like His Vision”. Distraction from one’s calling will make such kill his calling. When you are called to be a servant and you started desiring taking over from your master, that is distraction. The focus has shifted from what you are supposed to do, to what doesn’t involve you.
John the Baptist wasn’t called to warn the king of marrying his brother’s wife but to proclaim the coming of Jesus Christ. Your protection lies under your calling. When you move out of your calling, you are out of the secret place of the most high. John the Baptist was locked up and beheaded because he was distracted, Matthew 14:1-10. Our safety is guarantee in our calling. Demas was distracted by the things of the world and he lost his place in God’s kingdom, 1 Timothy 4:10. Samson was distracted by women until he lost his childhood Nazarite, Judges 16:1. Watch out! What is distracting you from your God’s calling? Fetch it out and do away with it. Is it women/man, money, position, power, fame, wealthy or pride, do away with it for you to fulfil your calling. Remember what Jesus said in Luke 9:62,
“62. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
We will not look back in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 8, Day 5: Thursday, 15th February, 2024 TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – PRIDE (12)

Mobile Daily Devotional  with Pst. Oluboye  Emmanuel
Week 8, Day 5:
Thursday, 15th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – PRIDE (12)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
1 Corinthians 15:10
“10. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God, and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us forever more, Amen.
This morning, I declare, we will not fail in our calling, killers of call will not overcome us in Jesus mighty name, Amen. We will be checking another killer today which is “PRIDE”. This is another deadly killer of calling. If there’s any attitude God disliked it is Pride. The scripture says in James 4:6.
“6. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God Resisteth The Proud, But Giveth Grace Unto The Humble.”
God resist any man with this attitude no matter one’s height. Nebuchadnezzar, was called the deputy of God but when pride sets in, God dethroned him, Daniel 2. No matter who and where you are before God, pride will bring such person down, I pray we will not experience this in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Tame that pride today, we are who we are by the Grace of God which located and qualified us. We are nothing without His calling. The call is the reason for the grace that brought you where you are. To avoid disgrace and termination of your calling, kill pride before it penetrate your life. You are not the healer, you’re just an instrument through which God works, so stop claiming God’s glory. Humble yourself before the Lord so He can honour you.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 8, Day 4: Wednesday, 14th February, 2024 TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – LOVE FOR MONEY (11)

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 8, Day 4:
Wednesday, 14th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – LOVE FOR MONEY (11)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
1 Timothy 6:10.
“10. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Today, the Mercy of God shall be accessable to us in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Killers of Call, we check another killer fighting every called servant of God which is the “Love Of Money” or Money oriented. It’s true that every labourer is worthy of his wages but not at the detriment of our calling. Mind you, we are talking about the “Love of Money” not “Money” itself, meaning, our attitude with money, how we view or submit to money. In ministry and other calling, money is paramount, King Solomon called it a defence, yes but when the love of money is more than the love for God and the soul we are to bless, it’s becomes a killer disease, a weapon against our calling.
No matter the area you are called in to, when money controls what you do, your call has been tampered with. Many ministers today enthrone the rich in positions like; Elder, Deacon, Deaconess and won’t be able to speak the truth anymore because they are afraid of their next meal from the wealthy leaders. Love of money has taken many out of their calling like Demas 1 Timothy 4:10. We need to make Jesus the author and finisher of our faith not money. Gehaze, in 2 Kings 5:20-27, would have been the next Elisha but the love of money and other things denied him his place. I pray this morning, the Grace to overcome temptations of money and the rest be available to us all in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Love your calling beyond money.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 8, Day 3: Tuesday, 13th February, 2024 TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – IMITATION (10)

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 8, Day 3:
Tuesday, 13th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – IMITATION (10)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
Acts 19:13-16.
“13.Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16. And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
This day shall be good to us, it shall bring us blessings not curse, and exemption from negativities in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Welcome to the continuation of “Killers of Call”. Another attitude that kills the Call of God is “Imitation”. Imitating others, using others as yardstick to know what to do. Let’s be clear about this, learning from others is totally different from imitating or copying others. When you imitate others, you’re forcing yourself to do what you’re not called to do. This was the case of Ananias and Sapphire in Acts Chapter five (5). They were trying to imitate the likes of Joses called, the Barnabas, who sold his property and gave it to the Apostle, but they weren’t called to do that so they ended up loosing their lives.
The Seven sons of sceva is another example of imitation. They were sons of a Jew and a chief priest. They imitated what they are not called to do, what they aren’t endowed for, so, the spirit enquired of them, who are you? When you imitate other’s calling, you will be questioned by the powers in charge of those areas.
The apostle said in, 1 Corinthians 11:1,
“1. And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.”
We are called to imitate those who imitate Christ according to our calling. When you are not endowed to heal, face what you’re endowed to do. Imitation is the reason for inferiority. Your call isn’t inferior to others, imitate Christ not others.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 8, Day 2:
Monday, 12th February, 2024

TOPIC: DIVERSE SERVICES: Killers Of Call – COMPARISON (9)

MEMORY VERSE:
Exodus 23:25.
“25. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

BIBLE READING:
2 Corinthians 10:12-13
“12. For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
13. But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
This week, the Lord will lead your path, guide you to succeed, and give you new height to scale through in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
The call of God has been our focus since last week and we shall be diving into “Killers Of Call”. For every assignment there are “Dos and Don’ts” which is what we are about to dig into. The first of it is “Comparison”, comparing ourselves with others in the same calling. Most times we see those we started together or even before making wave and flourishing in the same calling and begin to compared ourselves with them, comparison is a killer of call. We all have starting time, training time, manifestation time and finishing time but our seasons differs from one another even in the same call.
Apostle Paul said we should not be like them that compare themselves with themselves. We need to wait on God and listen to His instructions. Our calls may be the same but our timing differs. That they shine ahead of you doesn’t means God didn’t call you into that area. Stop comparing your call with others, focus on working out your calling with trembling and fear in order not to miss your caller. Only compare where you are to where you should have been, that is success. Someone says, success is comparing what you have done with what you should have done. Locate the difference and tackle it. Men didn’t call you so stop the comparism with men. We will not fail God in our calling in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Good Day and God bless you.
