TOPIC: GOD AT WORK IN US: APPRENTICESHIP OF GOD (4)

MEMORY VERSE:
John 5:17
“17. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”

BIBLE READING:
Romans 8:28
“28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Learning a trade as an apprentice isn’t an easy task. It takes determination, sacrifice and self-control. An apprentice can be older in age, be a graduate, master holder or even married while the master is still single. Whatever your qualification or status, you have to obey your master. He can send you on errand while he continue working. He can shout at you, insult you and ridicule you as your boss. The only reason for accepting all these is to learn the skill of that trade.
This is how it is with our God, although, He is God over all and above all but He sometimes allows us to experience shame, reproach, rejection and mockery before we acquire the needed skills to bring out His purpose for our lives. During those period, God is bringing out the best in us in order to be a master tomorrow.
In the days of King David, as a boy, He acquired the needed skills; he was trained in the bush, trainned to war and defeat with the sling. He was trained on how to cast out evil spirit with His instrument and the Praise of God. He was already a leader of mighty men while King Saul was after him. God is impacting skills into us through those pains. He is working all things for our good. As long as we love God, He is giving us the needed skills for the mission ahead of us, building in us the ruggedness we will need ahead. He is working for our good. Be a faithful Apprentice, you will soon be freed to be a master.
Good Day and God bless you.

Week 5, Day 3:
Tuesday, 30th January, 2024.

TOPIC: GOD AT WORK IN US: Learn New Things (3)

MEMORY VERSE:
John 5:17
“17. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”

BIBLE READING:
Genesis. 42:22-23.
“22 And Reuben answered them, saying, “Did I not speak to you, saying, ‘Do not sin against the boy’; and you would not listen? Therefore behold, his blood is now required of us.”
23 But they did not know that Joseph understood them, for he spoke to them through an interpreter.
Today, the Holy Spirit shall breath upon you for greater exploit in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
A lot of Christians today has a similar story with Joseph, the son of Jacob. We are familiar with his story. He was sold out by his blood brothers, bought by a slave master, went into slavery, was lied against and finally imprisoned. Many thought that was his end, none ever looked for him nor remembered him. But God was working on him through out those period.
During those times, Joseph was able to learn the language of the Egyptians fluently and was conversant with it. Even in the prison, he interpreted dreams with their language. When he met the king, we aren’t told he was using any interpreter, meaning, he spoke to the king in Egyptian’s language. He was able to hear and speak the language that his brothers never realize it was the same Joseph they sold out.
What are you learning in that challenge? God wants to teach you some lessons. He want to show you new things you know not. Are you just seeing the challenges or utilizing it to get knowledge? Many go through hardship, made it, but couldn’t sustain it because, they’ve refuse to learn during the challenging time. There is something God want you to gain from that situation. Stop focusing on the negatives, see the positive side in that situation. Gain new experience. The examination time is coming when your experience will be tested. Open up yourself to learn new things in that situation of yours, God Is still working on you.
Good Day and God bless you.

Week 5, Day 2:
Monday, 29th January, 2024.

TOPIC: GOD AT WORK IN US: Wait For The Set Time (2)

MEMORY VERSE:
John 5:17
“17. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”

BIBLE READING:
Jeremiah 29:10-12
“10 For thus says the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place.
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.”
Welcome to this new week, our going out today will be result oriented and our coming in will be with harvest of proof in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
God hasn’t forgotten neither has He abandoned you. He is working on you and for you. It doesn’t matter what you are going through, God is still on your matter. Listen to this,
“11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
This is the promise of God to us all, but before this, there is a specific time assigned to us before He perfect His plans for our lives.
Let me paraphrase it this way,
“10 For thus says the LORD: After seventy (some) years are completed at Babylon (in that challenge of yours), I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place, (your rightful place).”
What He says He will do, He will do. You don’t have to run to men but wait on God. Man only promise without fulfilment, but God has the ability and the power to speak and achieve what He says.
As my Father in the Lord, Rev. Steve Ayegunle, will always say, “God can never be late, He can only come later.” That later is when you need Him. That is the set time He has predestined for your glorification. Stop comparing your case with someone else, you have different assignment and different timing. Wait for your set time. That time will surely come and the work will be completed in you.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: GOD AT WORK IN US: BE CONFIDENT OF THIS (1)

MEMORY VERSE:
John 5:17
“17. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”

BIBLE READING:
Philippians 1:6
“6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
This new week, shall be a week of fresh testimony, every dream will enjoy the backing of God in a new way in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Our focus this week, will be the reassurance of “GOD AT WORK IN US.” I’ll like us to know we are “God’s Project In Progress.” None is an abandoned project. God is not a man to start and stop a project because of finances or external problem, No. He is the beginning and the end of all things. The first and last. He has the end of everything before the beginning began. He doesn’t specialize in uncompleted job. He perfects whatsoever He starts. God is at work in you, Halleluyah.
Jesus assured us, that, God is at work and likewise Himself. When He was leaven he promised us the Holy Spirit which He did sent to us. May I ask you this morning, whose work are they doing? Who are they working for? You and I of course. God has never retired after the creating the Heaven and Earth. He is working on our behalf. Be rest assured that, He will perfect that which He has started in you. We’re God’s project in progress. Just look around you, no matter how the case may be, if you will be faithful, there are changes around you always, they may be small but positive turn around, visible in and around you. Relax, you’re not forgotten, God is still at work in us, be confident of this today.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 4, Day 7:
Saturday, 27th January, 2024.

TOPIC: ASKING QUESTIONS NOT JUST PRAYING? Requirements For Asking? (7).

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 1:18.
“18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

BIBLE READING:
Psalms 24:3-4.
“3. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4. He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”
Our voice shall be heard, our request shall be granted, and we shall be a living testimony in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Happy weekend friends.
This week, we’ve been studying ‘Asking Questions not Just Praying”. We’ve seen many examples of those who applied these principle and it worked for them. We’ve been made to know that, it’s not all about praying, there are times to ask God and Men questions. There are times to ask questions in order to know if you need to pray or act on the information you get.
How can we access God in order to ask questions? King David answered the question, by saying, Such person must have a clean hand and a pure heart, who never lift his soul in vain. What is he saying? can a wicked person access God’s presence? No. A sinful soul can’t have the access, until he/she is purified, sanctified and living a holy life. God can’t behold sin, He is too Holy to welcome a sinner into His presence. To access God for questions, we need to live a life of Holiness, remember Hebrews 12:14, which says,
“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:”
Without peace and holiness, access to God can’t be granted. How pure are we to access His presence? We need to be cleansed to be able to access Him.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 4, Day 6:
Friday, 26th January, 2024.

TOPIC: ASKING QUESTIONS NOT JUST PRAYING? Jesus Ask Questions, What do you want? (6).

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 1:18.
“18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

BIBLE READING:
Mark 10:51-52.
“51. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.”
Thank God it’s Friday, may the good God give us a good reward for our weekend in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Jesus, our Lord and saviour, understand the principle of asking questions. Most time on His earthly ministry, seeing clearly what the person needs, he still go ahead to ask the questions, “What do you want me to do for you?” Will thou be made whole? John 5:6. Asking questions is the fastest way to getting help from God and men. Can you be of help to me? Please I need you to help me with this? Asking questions shows where your interest lays, making others know what you are in dare need of.
Jesus heard and saw blind Bartimaeus running to him. People helped him to come to Jesus because he cried out by saying, “Thou Son of David ,have mercy on me”. Let me make a clarification here. Mercy only gives you access to God, that’s the reason we get God’s attention, but when mercy brings the access you present your request. That being said, Jesus asked him, after mercy drew Jesus’ attention, what do you want me to do for you? God may know you outrightly but He still expects us to ask our way out of those predicaments of ours. He want us to reason with Him. Have you been asking questions this week? Are you attentive to hear His responses? Please present your request in the form of questions and see what He will say to you. Mercy will open the door in Jesus name, Amen.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 4, Day 5:
Thursday, 25th January, 2024.

TOPIC: ASKING QUESTIONS NOT JUST PRAYING? Gideon Ask Questions, Why? (5).

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 1:18.
“18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

BIBLE READING:
Judges 6:12-14.
“12. And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.
13. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
14. And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
Today, we will recognise and utilize the presence of Angels around us to our advantage in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Gideon, the man of valour, without an idea of who he was is our focus today. Judges chapter six (6) started with the children of Israel suffering in the hands of their enemies and how they’ve disobeyed the Lord’s prophet. Gideon was a mighty man of valour, rightly positioned to deliver the Israelites from the Midianites but he has no knowledge about it. Many times we see ourselves being placed in a position we never thought of and we become afraid because we have no idea of whom God has created us to be, it’s time to ask questions of who we are, what we carry and what we are to do.
Gideon was surprised with the Angel’s words then he ask, why are we in this situation if God be with us? Who is to save us, when will the person start saving us? But angel told him categorically, you are the saviour they’ve been waiting for. Until you ask questions you might not know the “Who You Are” and “What You Are Called To Do”. Ask God the question, what am I doing here? Why am I here? What do you assigned me to do here? It’s time we get to know our specific assignment and who we are assigned to. Ask questions this week for more clearification.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye  Emmanuel
Week 4, Day 4:
Wednesday, 24th January, 2024.

TOPIC: ASKING QUESTIONS NOT JUST PRAYING? Rebecca Ask Questions (4).

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 1:18.
“18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 25:22-23.
“22. And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
23. And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.”
The God who is always ready to respond to all request will today grant responses to all our inquiries in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Today, our focus will be shifting to Rebecca, the wife of Isaac and mother of Jacob. It’s a familiar story to us, how she waited on God for children. The scripture said her husband prayed to God on her behalf and the Lord heard him and she became pregnant.
But she started experiencing some inconveniences within her, this time around she didn’t need to pray but make enquiry of what was happening within her.
‘and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.”
Situations staring at us most times need questioning especially when they are not supposed to be. Why the delay and what’s the way out? She has never heard of someone giving birth to two children at once so she needed enlightenment. Likewise, most times we need to be enlightened in order to know the next step to take. Information is what leads to reformation. It’s time to ask questions about long standing challenges around our lives.  Here 33:3 says,
“3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
He is ready to show us the sources of that situation so we can pray rightly, know where to face with our prayer and stop praying amiss. Start making enquires as the Lord is waiting to respond to us.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 4, Day 3: Tuesday, 23rd January, 2024. TOPIC: ASKING QUESTIONS NOT JUST PRAYING? David’s Ask In Tears (3).

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 4, Day 3:
Tuesday, 23rd January, 2024.

TOPIC: ASKING QUESTIONS NOT JUST PRAYING? David’s Ask In Tears (3).

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 1:18.
“18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Samuel 30:7-8.
“7. And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.
8. And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”
Today, as we step out, the light of the Lord shall shine on every Dark situations around our lives in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Another clear example of David asking God instead of praying was when the Amalekite raided his camp in Ziklag. It was a bad situation when one can’t start praying. The Priest, who should have seek God’s intervention was lost in tears, the men of war were on David’s neck because of their families, none could think of anything else to do except David. The scripture said,
“… but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. 1 Samuel 30:6 “
Not in prayers this time around but to ask God specific questions,
“… Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”
God never hesitated in answering him, but gave him the clear assurance of recovering all. Go to God directly today and make inquiries. Table those prayer points before Him as questions. Encourage yourself in that helpless situation and ask Him specific questions like David did. Not to that Man of God but to God because everyone has questions to ask God. He is 100% available to respond to those confusing situations. Rise to ask God questions and wait for His response.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 4, Day 2:
Monday, 22nd January, 2024.

TOPIC: ASKING QUESTIONS NOT JUST PRAYING? David’s Case, Without Aggressiveness (2).

MEMORY VERSE:
Isaiah 1:18.
“18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

BIBLE READING:
2 Samuel 21:2-3.
2. And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; …
3. Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?
Today, as we go out for our daily living, Favour before men and God shall preceed us in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Time to Ask Questions and not praying. I’ll like to remind us who David was in this story;
1. He was a man after God’s heart, very close to God of all.
2. He was the reigning King as at then, who reigned over the Gibeonites. King David would have used his veto power and dictate what he wanted from the Gibeonites but instead, He ask questions, “What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?”
Not all situation needs prayers or quarrelling, you just need to ask questions, what do you want me to do to be free from this curse? Ask questions. Many marriages going through turbulent times just need questions not fighting your spouse’s fornicator. Some situations don’t need prayers, you just need to seek answers from God and men. The Gibeonites responded to David’s question and David did as they requested and the famine ended. What is the situation that burdens your heart, that you’ve been praying over for years? It’s time to seek for answers and identify the reason, don’t just fast and pray, be wise to ask questions.
Good Day and God bless you.
