Week 47, Day 2:
Monday, 20th November, 2023.

TOPIC: 1st Samuel 1 Study: Don’t Be Partial (2)

MEMORY VERSE:
Hebrews 6:10.
“10. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

BIBLE READING:
1 Samuel 1:4-5.
“4. And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:
5. But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb.”
Welcome to the first working day of the week, our going and coming shall be blessed this week in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
The second point to note from our Bible Reading is the attitude of Elkanah, He wasn’t a partial Husband to his wives, both were given portions according to their numbers. He was conscious to give them their portion as wives and children. He never favoured any of his wive than the other. How many of us can walk this same path without showing favourism? May be to give Peninnah much and little to Hannah or vice verser, but He chose not to do so. Many of us, especially parents, choose one child above the other as favorite. In our places of work, partiality by tribe, gender, nepotism, or by religion, this is not meant to be seen amongst belivers.
Apostle Paul said to Timothy, in 1 Timothy 5:21,
“I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.”
Elkanah showed no partiality, though he loved Hannah, he still loved Peninnah and showed them love always. Are you not partial in your dealings? If that same partiality is being shown towards you by being denied a privilege, will you be comfortable with it? Doing nothing by partiality.
Good Day and God bless you.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 47, Day 1:
Sunday, 19th November, 2023.

TOPIC: 1st Samuel 1 Study: Faithfulness Not Immunity to Challenges (1)

MEMORY VERSE:
Hebrews 6:10.
“10. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

BIBLE READING:
1 Samuel 1:1-3.
“1. Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:
2. And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.
3. And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there.”
Good morning Beloved of God, I welcome you to this new week, may our strength be renew in Jesus mighty Name, Amen. This week, we will be studying 1st Samuel Chapter One, to see what God will be saying to us. Our first Sub Topic says, “Faithfulness Not Immunity to Challenges”.
From our reading, the Man, Elkanah was a faithful man, who worshiped and served God with his family. We are made to know, they do worshipped the Lord at Shiloh yearly not naming their weekly and monthly worship in their home. With all these, one of his wives, Hannah was still barren after many years of marriage. Serving God is not proof that we will not go through challenges. Paying our tithes, rendering kingdom services and blessing others isn’t immune to difficulties. When we’re faced with opposition, it is not the time to start complaining of our services but a time to keep serving and remain focused on God. Elkanah never stops serving God yearly with his family despite the long distance and Hannah’s delay in child bearing. Don’t let those challenges reduce your commitment to God, keep doing your best regardless of the challenges.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: Walking In The Wisdom Of God.
Daily Increase In Wisdom – (18)

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 2:52.
“52. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

BIBLE READING:
Luke 2:52.
“52. And Jesus increased in wisdom…”
Happy weekend to everyone this morning, i wish you all a peaceful relaxation in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
As we round up for the week, i want us to know that, wisdom shouldn’t be dormant, one shouldn’t be stagnant when it comes to wisdom. In every areas of life we all need wisdom, deficiency of wisdom in marriage and sufficient of wisdom in career isn’t a success, it should be all wise. Likewise, wisdom can’t be enough, it should grow on a daily basis because every day comes with different challenges. Our Bible reading said of Jesus, “…And Jesus increased in wisdom…” Meaning He gained wise consistently, He wasn’t static at a point of wisdom but He was metamorphosing in wisdom, that is how it should be for every children of God.
When King David was encouraging his son King Solomon, he said, “Now therefore hold him not guiltless: FOR THOU ART A WISE MAN, and knowest what thou oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave with blood. – 1 Kings 2:9”
He acted wisely before becoming the king, and do you still remembered He’s request from God after his sacrifice? He said,
“Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? – 1 Kings 3:9”
He asked God for understanding to judge His people, is understandable possible without Wisdom? No. Wisdom is knowing How to handle situations. Wisdom is the application of what you know and understand. With wisdom, he understood, that was why, when he show forth His wisdom to judge the two women with a dead children, the scripture said,
“… for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment. – 1 Kings 3:28.
Brethren, we need to increase in wisdom in every area, as Jesus increased in wisdom we also should do. Yesterday’s wisdom is outdated, seek for new wisdom for the day and that is why the reading of God’s word is so important to every believer. That is when we can give the right answer to all situation presented before us, so therefore, in all thy getting, get wisdom on a daily bases, then can we be a good example of Jesus Christ to the world.
Good Day and God bless you.

Wisdom Through Multiple Counsel – (17)

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 2:52.
“52. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

BIBLE READING:
Proverbs 11:14.
“14. Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”
Proverbs 15:22.
“22. Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.”
We bless God for the entrance of His word into many lives for the past two (2) weeks on the topic “Walking In The Wisdom Of God” through this Daily Devotional. I want to believe that God has spoken to us a lot, may His name alone be praise for ever more. As we move toward the end of this topic, i ‘ll like to talk about more ways to gain God’s wisdom which is through “Multiple Counsel”. Counsel means to seek for advice, to get information, dig deep from multiple person with God’s wisdom. Lets take an example, an intending house owner won’t dabble into building a house without detailed counsel. This counsel will need different engineer expertise to give him the detail about the house. Likewise, for any assignments to be carried out multiple counsel will be needed from spiritual fathers, those who have plight that path before you and above all, God the giver of the dream.
Moses needed the counsel of Jethro, His father-in-law, to know how to work with time and preserve his health. To get wisdom, we need to seek for godly counsel, sieve them and focus on the applicable ones. King Solomon said, in multitude of counsel, safety and purpose are establish. You need to speak to people about that dream and purpose of yours to get the mind of God. Seek multiple counsel to get wisdom.
Good Day and God bless you.

What Wisdom Is Not – Turning From God (16)

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 2:52.
“52. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

BIBLE READING:
2 Timothy 4:10.
“10. For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.”
Good day beloved of God, may the presence of God not depart our lives in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. There’s no wisdom in turning from God for any reason. Many turned away from God for one reason or the other such as barrenness, poverty, love of the world, lack of partner or attitude of christians, none of these reasons worth turning from God. When we turn from God or backslide who do we go to? Running to rituals, occultic powers, running to idols or turning away from God’s law of holiness isn’t a guarantee that all needs will be met outside God, there’s no wisdom in it. King Saul turned from God to spiritual medium but none was able to save him. King Solomon thought he has seen it all after all the wisdom gathered and turned away from God to other gods but this led to his destruction.
Apostle Paul talked about Demas, a fellow worker, who left the faith and turned to the world, he was carried away by lust of the flesh. May i say this, what you can’t find in God can’t be found in the world, yes, you were promised having children, wealth, riches and fame, do you think they are for free without consequences? No, no wisdom in turning away from God. I don’t know who this message is meant for, if you are on the verge of turning from God, it’s a wrong step, no promises is worth it. If you have turned away from Him, He is calling you back today. Apostle Paul said “Who shall separate us from the love of God? Roman 8:35, Nothing but we ourselves. It’s not wise to turn from God, remain with Him and He will answer your request.

Week 46, Day 4:
Wednesday, 15th November, 2023.

TOPIC: Walking In The Wisdom Of God.
What Wisdom Is Not – Is Not Slavery (15)

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 2:52.
“52. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

BIBLE READING:
2 Kings 4:1.
“1. Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.”
We bless the Lord for another wonderful day, may it work for us better things than we expected in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Today, our focus is, Wisdom isn’t Slavery. Many persons has converted wisdom to be slavery, using any opportunity that present itself to enslave others all in the name of wisdom. With every little advantage they enslave and suppress people and call it help, assistance or support but they are despitefully using them, that isn’t wisdom. No matter the level God places us, we are to be a blessing and not to enslave others.
The widow of the late Prophet came to Elisha to seek for help on how her children will be free from their creditor. On the part of the creditor this isn’t wisdom nor business, it was purely enslavement. That we have the privilege over others is not a reason to put them under pressure and slavery. When you use others despitefully without being rewarded accordingly, that wisdom is devilish. Wisdom makes you treat others as your family, spouse, sibling, children and as the Lord pleases. That was why Apostle Paul said in, Colossians 4:1,
“1. Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.”
Doing things that your Master in Heaven will be proud of or what you desire from him to do to you. As a master, differentiate servant-hood from slavery, wisdom treat others as servant and not slaves. Let wisdom guide your dealings with your subordinates.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel Week 46, Day 3: Tuesday, 14th November, 2023. TOPIC: Walking In The Wisdom Of God. What Wisdom Is Not – Is Not Deceitful (14)

What Wisdom Is Not – Is Not Deceitful (14)

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 2:52.
“52. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

BIBLE READING:
1 Kings 13:18-19.
“18. He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
19. So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.
A wonderful day ahead in Jesus mighty name. Today, i will like us to know that, wisdom isn’t Deceitful. When you deceive others to make wealth or take advantage of them, that isn’t wisdom. Many deceived their spouse into marriage, business or/to end their lives. Our God is not deceitful in nature, so therefore His wisdom will have nothing to do with deceit. The wisdom of God is far from selfishness and destroying others.
Our Bible reading today speaks of the old prophet who deceived the young prophet which led to his death. He called himself a prophet, and being elderly, the young prophet believed him and followed him home but it was a deceit. When you deceive others for any reason you aren’t wise at all, it’s a sign of foolishness, envy, revenge and lack of self-esteem. God’s wisdom is truthful and pure without deceit. Check your life, have you been calling deceit wisdom? It’s time to desist from this act and walk in the wisdom of God. Stop deceitful marriage, business and ministry, it will never end well. Walk in the wisdom of God, nothing gathered with deceit will ever last longer, it will always attract the wrath of God. Be wise and stop deceiving others trust in you.

Week 46, Day 2:
Monday, 13th November, 2023.

TOPIC: Walking In The Wisdom Of God.
What Wisdom Is Not – Is Not Cheating (13)

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 2:52.
“52. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 13:10-11.
“10. And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
11. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.”
Beloved of God, i welcome you to this new week, may the Lord guide our path in wisdom in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
As we move further to know more about wisdom, our focus is to identify what wisdom is not. Many has termed many thing wisdom which is not. Let’s start with Wisdom Is Not Cheating. Cheating is a deception to profit oneself, not being faithful to one’s spouse, changing acceptable standard, taking what belongs to someone or depriving others their full wages. Cheating is cheating, either small or big, it can’t be wisdom. When you award a contract and cut the profit to your self, it isn’t wisdom, it’s cheating. When files isn’t treated because you weren’t settled, it’s not smartness or wisdom, it’s cheating.
Lot was presented with an open check by his uncle, Abraham, but he saw it as an avenue to cheat thinking it’s wisdom. With his physical eyes, he chose the best part ahead of His uncle. He never considered how Abraham’s livestock would live, but God who was with Abraham, (the wise man) gave him a pleasant and milky land better than Lot. When you cheat others in the name of wisdom you denied yourself God’s real purpose for your life. Cheating is not wisdom and God doesn’t bless through it. Blessing from cheating doesn’t last compare to God’s wisdom, ask Lot he will tell you. Differentiate Wisdom from cheating.

Mobile Daily Devotional with Pst. Oluboye Emmanuel
Week 46, Day 1:
Sunday, 12th November, 2023.

TOPIC: Walking In The Wisdom Of God.
The Need For Wisdom – Freedom From Slavery – (12)

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 2:52.
“52. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

BIBLE READING:
Genesis 31:4-6.
“4. And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock,
5. And said unto them, I see your father’s countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me.
6. And ye know that with all my power I have served your father.”
Happy New Week. We are seeing another reason for wisdom which is; Wisdom Sets Free From Bondage. Yes, the easiest way to be free from any form of bondage is through the wisdom of God. Many times we feel we know the way out of that situation, until wisdom is applied, freedom is not ascertained. Jacob, was a good deceiver but he met Laban who was better than he does. After all experience was applied by Jacob and freedom wasn’t real, God spoke with him, and by wisdom he called the daughters of Laban (his wives) to hear their views before taking his action. Secondly, he moved instantly in Laban’s absence without his permission.
Wisdom supercedes experience. When the wisdom of God is applied, experience becomes outdated. When the wisdom of God steps in, freedom becomes reality. Wisdom is so important for deliverance. Unlike before, he will foolishly arrange for a meeting with Laban but that changes with wisdom. Many have prayed and fasted for years but no result, we need to apply God’s wisdom to be free from those shackles. Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free, John 8:32,” the truth is the wisdom of God. Ask for wisdom to know how to handle your situation not praying against the situation, for wisdom is the key to freedom from every bondage.

The Need of Wisdom – Reign With Kings (11)

MEMORY VERSE:
Luke 2:52.
“52. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

BIBLE READING:
Daniel 1:19-21.
“19. And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.
20. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.
21. And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.”
Beloved of God, Happy Weekend to you all. As we check another reason why wisdom of God is needed, lets check through the four (4) Hebrew boys – Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego. For anyone to reign in life, it all depends on wisdom. Wisdom places you above and not beneath, it makes and not mar you. The company of the wise rules and reign over the foolish. No matter where you are, wisdom is capable of putting you above all odds.
The Hebrew boys were slaves but they reigned with kings in Babylon for years to the extent of becoming Chief of Governors in Babylon, this is what wisdom can do. May i say this, many things we are going through answers to wisdom, until we get that wisdom, we might not be free from that situation. Wisdom makes men dine with kings and leaders. Wisdom is the foundation of every greatness in life. It’s time to seek for that wisdom that will bring manifestations that we desire. Father, baptist me with your wisdom to have headway in life, in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
