TOPIC: Lessons from The Blind Bartimaeus. Staying Put With Jesus (10)

MEMORY VERSE:
Ephesians 5:16
16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.

BIBLE READING:
Mark 10:52.
“52. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.”
Welcome to the last edition of our topic, “Lesson From Blind Bartimaeus”. We bless the Lord for every revelation from the begining of this topic. As we round up today, i like to encourage you to stay put with Jesus when your requests are granted. It’s common to see people turn their back on God after His visitation. The blessings of God gets them distracted, and that was why God said to the Israelites in Deuteronomy 8:17-18, saying,
17. And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
18. But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
Do not forget God when He turns your life around, Stay Put with God, follow after Him, don’t be carried away by His blessings.
Our text showed us what Blind Bartimaeus did, “And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.” He followed Jesus instantly, no excuse to see his family first, or go back for the garment casted away nor turn to say, “Jesus thank you let me live my life now” but instantly He followed Jesus, why? Because He alone can sustain whatever He gives us. He is the preserver of all His blessing upon us, so we need to follow Him and not turn away from Him. Many have fallen victim of this, by turning against God after granting good job, fruit of the womb, lifting them out of depression, until dryness comes up before coming back to God, let yours not be so. Stick with Him after His blessings and follow Him to preserve what He blesses you with. God bless us all in Jesus Mighty name.
Good Day and God bless you.

BIBLE READING:
Mark 10:52.
“52. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.”
Welcome to a new week, this week shall work for us in Jesus Mighty, Amen. During the earthly ministry of Jesus, many healings were done. A lot received their healings through Jesus’ compassion, mercy and request but many received theirs through Faith in the ability of Jesus which was how Blind Bartimaeus received his. He’s faith made him believe Jesus can heal him and he went for it. Faith isn’t complete without action. Until your vision, purpose, determination is backed up with faith result will remain unseen to others.
Jesus only told him, “Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole.” Prayer nor touch wasn’t needed. No much talk only declaration resting on his faith. Many prayed, fasted, served God but still lack the faith to back it up. After our prayers we reverse into grumbling, complaining and murmuring, so God has no faith to carry out His work. Is your faith intact or buried in unbelieve? Can your faith heal, bless and lift you out of that suppressing state? It’s time to resharpen your faith. Faith makes you take the step, cry the cry and run after that dream. Your faith is the feet on which your request will be considered.
Good Day and God bless you.

BIBLE READING:
Mark 10:51.
“And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, .”Lord, that I might receive my sight”
Beloved of God, as we appear in God’s presence today, may we experience a life changing encounter in Jesus Mighty Name. As continue our teachings on the topic The Blind Bartimaeus, our focus today is “Knowing What You Needs”. This may look small but very important. Many of us thinks our needs are finances or wealth where as our need is what is stopping us from having the opportunity to make money. When King Solomon was asked what he wanted, he went straight with his request, “Wisdom to govern God’s people”, 1 Kings 3:9. What is your need if i may ask you this morning?
Blind Bartimaeus knew his need wasn’t money, nor someone to take him around or a car. He need was, “Lord, that I might receive my sight”. Very precise and short. Our request from God should be summary of all our problems as a whole. Not lengthy or filled with story but straight and direct. May i charge you this morning to identify the real source of your challenge. Many focus on job, help from someone, business while the issue is foundational, spiritual growth, laziness in prayer and many more. Jesus is asking you this morning, “What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? What will your request be? What’s the main issue behind all those predicament around your life? Can you summarised it to God? “That i may see.” “That i may be free from household powers”. “I need wisdom to fulfil purpose”. I need the bone of my bone”. Be specific with what you want God to do for you, He is not interested in too much talk, hit the nail on the head, That i may see.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: Lessons from The Blind Bartimaeus. Let Go of Hindrances (7)

MEMORY VERSE:
Ephesians 5:16
16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.

BIBLE READING:
Mark 10:50.
“50. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
Welcome to the weekend edition on our topic, The Blind Bartimaeus. When Jesus sent for him, the scripture said, “And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus” what garment and why casting the garment away? For anyone to walk with Jesus, receive from Him and enjoy him, there are garment meant to be cast away. What are these garment? They are hindrances to reaching God, distractions, things dropped on us by men or by ourselves. The garment of heaviness, Is. 60:3. Garment of down casting, Ps. 42:6. Garment of experience, Luke 5:5. Garment of help of man, Ps. 60:11. Garment of negative imagination, 2 Corinth. 10:4, and many more, these garments need to be do away with.
The blind Bartimaeus identified what needs to be cast away, can you identify that which you need to let go for God to visit you? Jesus is calling many but what we held unto is holding us back from receiving what He has for us. Hebrews 12:1, says,
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” What are those weights to let go?
Good Day and God bless you.

MEMORY VERSE:
Ephesians 5:16
16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.

BIBLE READING:
Mark 10:48-49.
“48. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.”
Welcome to this beautiful day that the Lord has made, may it be filled with testimony in Jesus name, amen.
Today as we move forward, i like to tell you, “Don’t mind the noise” like Blind Bartimaeus did. When he started shouting at the top of his voice, the crowd bid him to be quiet that the Master can’t hear him. Many saw his request as noise and irrelevant cry and hence discouraged him to be silent but the more they stopped him the more his shouted until Jesus sent for him. Do you know you have to keep praying and crying to God regardless of opposition, man’s talk and discouragement? God listens to persistent cry not just a cry. He said to Moses, i have heard the cry of my people, Exodus 3:7. How often do we persist with our request to God? How often are we discouraged when responses are not forth coming? Do you noticed from the verse, the same people silencing him were the same persons who said, “be of good cheer, the saviour is calling you”. Those who try discouraging you will still come to celebrate with you, if you will remain persistent. Keep asking and quit not for God is still busy with other cases until your cry reaches to Him to stand still, then it will be your turn. Don’t give in to the noise of men, keep crying to God.
Good Day and God bless you.

TOPIC: Lessons from The Blind Bartimaeus. Calling Him By Name (5)

MEMORY VERSE:
Ephesians 5:16
16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.

BIBLE READING:
Mark 10:47.
“47. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.”
Welcome to a wonderful day beloved of God, as we proceed with our study on The Blind Bartimaeus. Another lesson to learn from this man was calling Jesus by His real name, have you noticed that? Most times Jesus was addressed as the Son of God, son of Mary, Jesus Christ, but Blind Bartimaeus called Jesus differently, meaning he had a pre-knowledge of whom Jesus is. The scripture said he cried out saying, “Jesus, thou Son of David” a wonderful knowledge of whom Jesus is from a blind Man. Our knowledge of whom we speak to determine His response to our cry. Calling Jesus by name, Thou Son Of David, Jesus the Messiah, Jesus The Son Of God, is a way to enhance response to our prayers. When Abraham was on His way to sacrifice His son Isaac, He made the same statement when Isaac made inquiries about the sacrifice, Abraham called God “The Provider”, and God did made the provision, Gen 22:7-8. What you call God determines His speedy response to your request.
When you pray, what do you call Him? What knowledge of God do you apply when relating with Him? That’s the need of praising God when we pray, to call Him by names which makes Him listen to our request. Who do you know God to be? Relate with Him more than just a God but as Father, Source, Dependant, Saviour, not just what other says but your experience of Him. Blind Bartimaeus attracted Jesus through the knowledge of Jesus’ name.
Good Day and God bless you.

BIBLE READING:
Mark 10:47.
“47. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.”
Welcome to the continuation of Blind Bartimaeus. Today we move further to Acting positively on your information. After processing the information he got, no body told him Jesus could heal him but He got to know through processing and asking question about who Jesus is and what he has heard about Him. The scripture said, he began to cry out, not knowing Jesus’ location. Many information we got but didn’t applied led many to regrets and self blame. Some got information without sieving it before applying and it destroyed their marriages. Don’t just process the information, apply it with one mind. He cried regardless of the crowd, his blindness and his distance to where Jesus was, until Jesus heard him. Those ideas you’ve been getting, it’s time to start applying them. Those information you’ve received but doubted, it’s time to put them to work without discouragement. See that information as the key to your breakthrough just the same way Blind Bartimaeus saw Jesus’ passing as the only needed breakthrough. Stop doubting every information, stop creating the negative side of it. Be truthful and act on it after well processed and act wisely on that processed information.

BIBLE READING:
Mark 10:47.
“47. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.”
A blessed day in the name of JESUS as we progress into the day’s activity. Yesterday, we discussed about being sensitive with the moves around us. When we sensed the happenings and get the information, what do we do with the information? Some start seeing the negative side of that news, fear of the unknown creep into their heart about the situation and they jumped into negative conclusion. How do you handle the information you get from others?
Bartimaeus received the information and taught of how it could work in his favour. He knew this Jesus can make him see again and he opted for that. He could have focus on his blindness as a reason not to see Jesus but he trashed that away.
A short story of two salesmen sent to a country where people walked bare footed. One returned that shoes can’t be patronized there while the other said, it’s the best place to market shoes, it all depends on how you handle the information you get. Many of us had mishandled right information in the past and this has cost us so much. Imitate the Blind Bartimaeus from today on, don’t be negative about all information. Process every information before acting or reacting.

“And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.”
A lovely day with productivity in Jesus Mighty name. As we continue our study on Bartimaeus, he was a man who was sensitive to the happenings around him. He heard sounds of crowd, though he couldn’t see, he knew something unusual was happening and never took it lightly, so he asked questions. How sensitive are we with what’s going on around us? Sometimes the occurrences around us is telling us to change position, sometimes to pray and sometime to ask for help. Yours might even be a time to render a help, solve a problem or ask questions. Blind Bartimaeus’ sensitivity made him asked questions, “Please what is going on? Why the crowd? He asked questions not because of dangers or to beg for arm, but he was curious of the movement, how curious are you with situations around you, place of work, within your family, church and environment? You need to be sensitive because you don’t know when God will be passing, when He will be visiting you like Abraham. How sensitive are you? Don’t just wave informations away, be curious of what the happenings around you is.

“46. And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, Blind Bartimaeus, The Son Of Timaeus, Sat By The Highway Side Begging.
Good day Beloved of God and welcome to this new week filled with God’s purpose for our lives. This week, our search light will be on Blind Bartimaeus, the blind man who received His sight miraculously, what was His contribution and how did Jesus healed him?
Firstly, this man was rightly positioned, Yes, he had a good location, the scripture says, “By the high way side”, not in the jungle or a corridor where no one can locate him. Many of us are wrongly positioned in life, we stay with friends with different ideas, remain with families, we don’t want to be alone, we want to yoke with others thereby, we are far from the reach of God. Remember, God told Isaac to stay in Gerar, Gen. 26:1-2, but many of us left for Egypt too soon. Where are you position? Your located determines what comes your way. Blind Bartimaeus was rightly position for his miracle, do you jump from church to church, work, rented apartment and shop, are you rightly position or flocking around with others? Think on this for a while, why are you where you are?
